Getting Started
Refit Patch U7D/U7B is a portable 1-channel Wireless ECG Monitor that can be used with
smartphone. ECG (1-channel), heart rate, stress level can be observed and recorded in real
time, which can be used for systematic health management for individual.
Refit Patch U7D/U7B is a type of patch that attaches to the chest, so you can check the
health signal in real time by running smartphone application after turning it on. Therefore,
you need to install the smartphone application (Happ+), disposable electrodes, connecting
cables, and wireless dongle.

Using Refit Patch U7D/U7B
Refit Patch U7D/U7B consists of a main module that controls wireless communication and
overall operation, a power module that supplies power, and a connection cable. The
disposable electrode snaps are provided on the back of the main module and the power
module, and the Refit Patch U7D/U7B is attached to the chest after fastening the disposable
electrode.
Assembling Refit Patch U7D/U7B
Refit Patch U7D/U7B consists of a main module and a power module.

Connecting Refit Patch U7D/U7B modules
1. Assemble the main module and the power module with connection cable as shown
below.

2. Connect each measuring module to the disposable electrode.
3. Remove the vinyl from the backside of the disposable electrode and use it after
attaching it to the chest.
NOTE: If the connection is incorrect, the Refit Patch U7D/U7B will not work and must
be joined correctly.

Connection Status Display
1. Find the power switch of the Refit Patch U7D/U7B on the side of power module.
2. Move the power switch to the side marked with the power ( ) icon to turn on the
power.
3. If the modules are connected correctly, the beep sounds once briefly, the red LED on
the main module lights up, the green LED starts blinking.
4. When the measurement is initiated with the mobile app on your smartphone, you
will hear three short beeps and the main module will have a green LED.

NOTE: Keep the power switch at the turned off position to prevent battery discharge when
the Refit Patch U7D/U7B is not used.
Wearing Refit Patch U7D/U7B
The Refit Patch U7D/U7B incorporates a rechargeable battery and a wireless communication
module to transmit the measured ECG data to the monitoring system wirelessly.
Because of its small size, you can measure ECG signals by attaching it to any part of your left
chest. However, it is recommended to attach Refit Patch U7D/U7B in a proper position for
more accurate measurement.
Wearing sensors
1. Refit Patch U7D/U7B is attached using disposable electrodes.
2. Use commercially available disposable electrodes, but please note that old
electrodes can easily fall due to their weak adhesion.
3. After attaching the disposable electrode to the snap of each module, remove the
vinyl of the electrode and use.

Wearing position of the sensors
1. Attach the main module to the bottom left side as shown.
2. Attach the power module so that it is positioned 45°upward with respect to the
main module. Make sure that the connection cable is properly extended.
Charging Refit Patch U7D/U7B
Refit Patch U7D/U7B charges the power module. The power module has a built-in Li-
Polymer rechargeable battery.
You can charge using a smartphone charger with a 5-pin micro-USB socket structure.
How to charge
1. Disconnect the power module from the connection cable.
2. Connect a charging adapter to the socket on the power module. The charging
adapter is an Android smartphone charger with a 5-pin micro USB socket.
3. When the power module is powered up, the red LED lights.
4. When the power module’s battery is fully charged, the red LED turns green.

NOTE: The time it takes for the power module to fully charge can vary depending on
the charger adapter specification. Check the LED color of the power module
to see if it is fully charged.
Battery life
1. If the Refit Patch U7D/U7B is used while the power module is fully charged, the ECG
can be measured continuously for about 10/30 hours.
2. If you use an extended battery pack, you can measure ECG continuously for up to
about 20/60 hours.
NOTE: If the battery is discharged, the LED will blink or a short beep will sound
continuously. Please recharge and use.
Charger specification
1. It is recommended to use a commercial product with rated output of DC +5.0V, 2A
as the charging adapter of Refit Patch U7D/U7B.
2. Please check the rated output of the charge adapter. The maximum allowable input
voltage of the charging voltage is DC +7.0V.

How to Connect (Smartphone)
Happ+ App Installation
In order to use Refit Patch U7D/U7B, you need to install ‘Happ+’application on your
smartphone. Search ‘Happ+’or ‘Solmitech’in the Play store and install the app.
Searching for Happ+ App
1. Click Play store icon ( ) on your smartphone and run it.
2. Select Search icon ( ) at the top of the Play store app.

3. Enter ‘Happ+’or ‘Solmitech Happ+’in the edit field and click Search icon.
4. Select ‘Happ+’app from the list.

Installing and running Happ+ Application
1. Select Happ+ application and click INSTALL.
2. Once a pop-up window appears asking whether install or not, click ACCEPT. If you
have Android 6.0 or higher, installation will proceed without consent.

3. Happ+ application will be downloaded and installed automatically.
4. You can launch the application by pressing the OPEN button on the screen or the
Happ+ icon directly.

5. Once you run Happ+ application, the initial splash window appears for 2 seconds
and disappears.
6. For Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), you will be asked three permissions. All
functionality must be allowed before the app will work.

7. Intro screen appears at first execution. You can start Refit Patch U7D/U7B
demonstration or run a direct connection. If you check ‘Do not show this window
again.’at the bottom, the intro screen will not appear from the next execution.
8. Click the START button to search for nearby Refit Patch U7D/U7B and automatically
connect and start measurement.

NOTE: When using Happ+ app for a long time with real-time data communication, internal
memory usage can increase dramatically. A low-end smartphone may run out of
memory.

ECG
Real-time Monitoring
Using the Refit Patch U7D/U7B and Happ+ app, you can simply monitor your ECGs at any
time. The ECG signals show the balance of your heartbeat. Under normal condition, the
signal appears uniformly.
1. Wear Refit Patch U7D/U7B and click START icon ( ).
2. Automatically search for Refit Patch U7D/U7B and try to connect with discovered

devices.
3. Once a Refit Patch U7D/U7B is connected to the Happ+, the measurement starts
automatically.
4. When the health check is completed, you can check the measured ECG signal by
dragging the ECG graph to the left or right.

Chart Pause/Restart
1. In order to pause the continuous ECG monitoring on your screen, touch the Pause
icon ( ) during measurement.)
2. While the measurement is still in progress, the chart update is paused and you can s
ee the previous data up to 30 seconds before.
3. Selecting the Restart icon re-displays the current measurement data.
Chart Zoom In/Zoom Out
1. If you select ‘ON’for the zoom function in the option menu, ‘Zoom’icons will appear.
