Limited 1-Year Warranty: REKON BH-1 Ballhead assemblies are warranted to be free
of manufacturing defects in material and craftsmanship for 1-Year from the date of
purchase of the item for the original purchaser. If a product is determined to be
defective by REKON, it will at its option repair or replace upon receipt and inspection
of the returned product. Return shipping charges are at the expense of the sender.
Dated PROOF OF PURCHASE is required for warranty service.
The Limited 1-Year Warranty does not cover abuse, cosmetic damage to surface
treatments, or damage due to acts of God, misuse, negligence, improper disassembly
or modication of any part of the product. The limited warranty does not cover
damage due to the failure to follow proper installation and operating procedures, in
addition to the following reasons: loss of or damage to the product due to abuse,
mishandling, alteration, accident, or theft. The warranty is non transferable. Valid for
original purchaser with dated proof of purchase, no warranty registration required.
THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT IS THE SOLE REMEDY AVAILABLE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, IN
TORT, OR OTHERWISE ARISING FROM THE FAILURE OF A PRODUCT AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.
Maintenance Tips: Avoid getting dust, dirt or debris on the ballhead. Be sure
to clean o any dust, dirt, or debris by blowing air over ball or wiping with a
dry cloth. Do not submerge the ballhead in water or run water on the
ballhead. If the ballhead gets wet, dry it thoroughly as soon as possible.
Our ballheads are internally pre-lubricated and do not need any additional
lubrication prior to use. DO NOT apply oil or lubricants to any part of the
ballhead assembly. Lubruicant will attract dust and grit, which will damage or
foul the ballhead assembly and impede smooth operation.
All knobs on the BH-1 ballhead are captured and will not come o without
damaging or breaking the knobs. Never attempt to disassemble the ballhead,
its knobs, or any of its components.
Panning Base: (see Figure 3):
If unsmooth or restricted panning
is encountered, verify panning
base is free of dirt and debris. Also,
verify that all 4 internal pan head
retainer screws are fully secured
using a cross tip jeweler screw
driver. Note: There is only one
access hole on the panning base,
rotate panning base to access all 4
screws.

Ballhead Assembly (see Figure 1):
Arca-Swiss Mounting Plate: Use this mount to attach 1/4-20 threaded insert
compatible accessories such as some gun vices, cameras, camera accessories,
spotting scopes, etc.
Arca-Swiss Clamp Knob: Rotate knob clockwise to tighten arca-swiss clamp
jaw and counter clockwise to loosen arca-swiss clamp jaw for installation and
removal of accessories. Be sure that all accessories are securely tightened in
the clamp.
Pan Tension Knob: Used to adjust the tension and lock the pan feature in
place. Rotate knob clockwise to tighten and counter clockwise to loosen pan
tension. To lock the pan in place, fully tighten the knob.
Ball Tension Knob: Used to adjust the ball tension and lock the ball in place.
Rotate knob clockwise to tighten and counter clockwise to loosen ball tension.
To lock the ball in place, fully tighten the knob.
Attaching The Ball Head (see Figures 2a-d): Attach the ball head plate to the
Center Axis Shaft by inserting the short end of the Interface Screw into the
Ballhead Plate and securely threading it into the top of the shaft (Figure 2a).
Thread in the anti-rotation hex screw into the “column” (Figure 2b). Securely
thread the ballhead onto plate (Figure 2c). Thread the anti-rotation hex screw
into the ballhead from underneath the plate (Figure 2d). The anti rotation hex
screws only need to be snug, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
