CGETTING STARTED
• Beforetheunitcanbeusedforthersttime,pullouttheplasticmarkedwith
an arrow from the bottom of the unit. The plastic tab is only for shipping and
can be discarded.
,CHARGING YOUR APPLIANCE
• Beforeusingyourhairclipperforthersttime,chargefor90minutes.
• Ensuretheproductisswitchedo.
• Connectthechargingadaptortotheproductandthentothemains.The
display will indicate the unit is charging by showing a blinking battery icon.
• Iftheproductisnotgoingtobeusedforanextendedperiodoftime(2-3
months), unplug it from the mains and store.
• Fullyrechargeyourappliancewhenyouwouldliketouseitagain.
• Topreservethelifeofyourbatteries,letthemrunoutevery6monthsthen
recharge for 90 minutes.

• Ensuretheproductisswitchedo.

supplied Remington power adaptor, other USB chargers will only charge the
unit.

,WARNING
• TheappliancecannotbeoperatedincordedmodewhileconnectedtoaPC
via the USB port.
,CORDLESS USE
• Whentheunitisswitchedonandfullycharged,theproductcanbeusedin
cordless mode for 50 minutes.
F INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Turntheproductonbyslidingthe3positionslideswitchdowntothe
middle position. This will turn the LCD display on and enable height
adjustments and boost adjustments to be made.
• Usethehairclipperwithoutacombattachedfortrimminghairclosetothe
skin. This will trim hair to 1mm. Holding the blades perpendicular to the skin
will trim hair to 0.5mm.
,ADJUSTING THE TRIM INCREMENT LENGTH
• Firstselectwhichhaircomb,stubblecomb,shortlengthcomborlong
length comb for the length range desired.
• Stubblecomb(1.5mm,#0)shortlengthcomb(3–23mm,#1–8),longlength
 comb(22–42mm,#7–14).
• Note:Ifusingthestubblecomb,oncethecombisattached,pleasepressthe
mode button until it cycles to Range D. Once this is reached 1.5mm should
 bedisplayedontheLCDdisplay.Pleasenotethatthestubblecombisaxed
comb and will not move up and down when pressing the increment button.
• Forthelonglengthcombtheincrementscanonlybemadein0.5mm.Toset
this press the mode button until Range C is displayed on the LCD screen.
• Fortheshortlengthcombthereare2incrementsettings.Yourclippercan
be adjusted in either 0.1mm or 0.5mm increments. To switch between these,
 pressthemodebutton.RangeA0-1mm,RangeB0-5mm.
• Note:Ifaredwarninglightisvisiblethroughthecombwheninstalled,thisis
indication that the comb selection switch is on the wrong setting.
,USING THE TOUCH SCREEN
• Themotorised,shortorlonglengthcombcanbeadjustedtogiveyoumany
dierent trim lengths, simply by pressing the arrows on the touch screen.
Press and hold the arrow up to increase the cutting length and down to
decrease it. The comb will move to reach each setting, the length will change
slowly and then speeds up as you hold the up/down arrow, and the setting
number will appear on the digital display

• Selectthedesiredboostlevelbypressingtheboostbuttonwiththe3
position slide switch in the middle position. The display will indicate the level.
• Oncethedesiredlengthandboostlevelhavebeenselectedslidethe3
position slide switch to the last position (the furthest down) to lock the
cutting length and turn the motor on.
• Note:Adjustmentstolengthandboostcanbedoneanytimethe3position
slide switch is set to the middle position. Adjust the cutting length and or
boost level by pressing the arrows or boost button on the touch screen.
• Pleasenotethatthemotorwillonlyrunwhenthe3positionslideswitchisset
to lock, the last position (furthest down). This is to ensure the cutting length
does not adjust whilst you are cutting your hair.
• Pressandholdthebatteryicontodisplaytheremainingbatterytimein
minutes on the digital display. This can be used only when the 3 position slide
switch is set in the middle position.
,CAUTION
• NOTE:Thecombmustbeattachedtotheapplianceinordertousethehair
length selector.
,Before starting the cut
• Inspecttheclippermakingsurethatitisfreefromhairanddirt.
• Seatthepersonsothattheirheadisapproximatelyatyoureyelevel.
• Beforecutting,alwayscombthehairsoitistanglefreeanddry.
,TO ATTACH A COMB
• Holdthecombwithitsteethupward.
• Guidethecombrailsintotheslotsonthesideoftheclipperhead.Thenpush
the comb down until it seats on the adjustment arm.
,TO REMOVE THE COMB
• Holdingtheclipperwiththebladesfacingawayfromyou,rmlypushthe
comb upward and away from the blades.
,CAUTION
• Iftheincorrectcombisattachedtotheproductforthedesiredcuttinglength,
a red warning light will illuminate to indicate this.
• Pleaseinspectthatthedesiredcombisattachedorthatthecorrectsettingis
selected on the comb switch.
,INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUTTING HAIR
• Forevencutting,allowthecombattachment/bladetocutitswaythroughthe
 hair.Donotforceitthroughquickly.Ifyouarecuttingforthersttime,start
with the maximum comb attachment.

,STEP 1 – Nape of the neck
• Setthecombto3mmor6mm.
• Holdtheclipperwiththebladeteethpointingupwards.Beginstartingatthe
centre of the head at the base of the neck.
• Slowlylifttheclipper,workingupwardsandoutwardsthroughthehair,
trimming just a little at a time.
,STEP 2 – Back of the head
• Withthecombsetat12mmor18mm,cutthehairatthebackofthehead.
,STEP 3 – Side of the head
• Withthecombsetat3mmor6mm,trimsideburns.Thenchangetothe
longer 9mm guide comb and continue to cut the top of the head.
,STEP 4 – Top of the head
• Usethelongerlengthcombattachmentandsetitto24mmor27mmthen
cut hair on top of the head against the direction in which the hair normally
grows.
• Forlongerhairontop,usethelongerlengthcombattachment(24–42mm)
to achieve the desired style.
• Alwaysworkfromthebackofthehead.
,STEP 5 – The nishing touches
• Usetheclipperwithoutanattachmentcombforclosetrimmingaroundthe
base and sides of the neck.
• Toproduceacleanstraightlineatthesideburns,reversethehairclipper.
Place the reversed clipper at right angles to the head, tips of the blades
lightly touching the skin and then work downwards.
,SHORT TAPERED STYLES –“FLAT TOPS”& SHORT CUTS
• Startingwiththelongestguidecombattached(24-42mm),cutfromtheback
of the neck to the crown. Hold the guide comb at against the head and
slowly move the clipper through the hair.
• Usethesameprocedurefromthelowersidetotheuppersideofthehead.
Then cut the hair against the direction in which it grows and level with the
sides.
• Togivea“attop”look,thehairontopoftheheadmustbecutoverthetop
of a at comb.
• Useacloserguidecombtotaperthehairdowntothenecklineasdesired.

CCARE FOR YOUR HAIRCLIPPER

• Toensurelonglastingperformanceofyourclipper,cleanthebladesandunit
regularly.
• Alwayskeeptheattachmentguidecombonthetrimmerblade.
,AFTER EACH USE
• Ensuretheapplianceisswitchedoandunpluggedfromthemainsbefore
cleaning.
• Removetheattachmentguidecomb.
• Gentlybrushtheremaininghairsawayfromthecombandtrimmerblade.
• Donotrinsethecutterassemblyunderwater.
• Werecommendoilingthebladesaftercleaningwithalittlesewingmachine
oil.
,RESET INSTRUCTIONS
• Youwillneverhavetoforceasystemresetundernormalconditions.Ifthe
clipper experiences abnormal behaviour, such as low or high touch sensitivity
or subjected to electrostatic discharge disturbance, or subjected to electrical
fast transient/burst from the LV network, the system can be reset.
• Holdthemodebuttonfor8secondswiththeproductswitchedonandthe3
position slide switch set to the middkle position, the system will enter reset
mode.
• Systemwillshow88.8mm,fullbattery,fulllockandfullboostlevel.
• Ensurenoobjects,handsorngersarenearthetouchbuttons.
• Pushthemodebuttononce.
• Thecombwilltraveldowntoitslowestsettingandthedisplaywillshowthe
current battery level, lock status and 1st boost level.
• Lettheproductsituntilthescreendims.
• Productisnowready,turnitonandconrmproperfunction.
C CLEANING CAUTIONS
• Onlytheattachmentguidecombsandtrimmerblademayberemovedfrom
the product for cleaning.
• Cleaningshouldbedonewithasoftbrush.
• Theapplianceisnotwashable.
• Donotrinseunderwater.
• Donotuseharshorcorrosivecleanersontheunitsortheircutters.
• Note:theseclippersarenotintendedforprofessionaluse.

BATTERY REMOVAL
• Thebatterymustberemovedfromtheappliancebeforeitisscrapped.
• Theappliancemustbedisconnectedfromthesupplymainswhenremoving
the battery.
• Turnthetrimmeronanddischargeallremainingpower.

• Detachthebladehead.
• Removethe2housingscrewsfrombackofproduct.
• Usingascrewdrivercarefullypryapartthetopandbottomhousing.
• Unscrewthe(2)screwonthecircuitboard.
