CASCADE - ROOF CARGO BASKET
WARNING:

BARS WEIGHT RATING
This roof basket is designed to attach to a wide variety of roof rack bars. Before using the basket, ensure that the universal brackets are securely attached to the vehicle cross bars.
Periodically check to ensure all knobs and screws are tight. Remove the basket when not in use.

Fitting: Crossbars up to 4" width x 1.57" maximum height, 0.59 minimum height, or round bars up to 1.5" diameter. U-Bolt spacing: 6.4" x 1.57"
Fairing
1. Never exceed the maximum cargo load capacity of 150 lbs.
2. There must be a minimum distance of 15 inches between vehicle's cross bars.
3. When loading, distribute weight evenly along basket platform to prevent an out of balance situation.
4. Never carry a load that is not properly secured and tied down to the cargo basket. Improperly secured items may fall onto the roadway and cause an accident.
5. Do not carry flammable items on cargo rack.
6. Never allow people to sit in or be transported in the cargo basket
Improperly installed rack, or cargo can fall onto roadway potentially causing a serious accident resulting in bodily injury.
Do not use cargo roof basket on any vehicle where the cargo basket cannot be properly and safely installed.

NOTE - The supplied nuts have a Nylon threadlocker to prevent them from vibrating loose. When installing the nuts onto the supplied bolts they will thread on easily until the bolt reaches the
outer end of the nut. After that you will feel some resistance as the nut is threaded onto the remainder of the bolt. Make sure nuts are fully threaded onto bolts.

Remove the 8 large protective plastic end caps on the right and left sides of the front and rear basket, DO NOT remove the 4 small plastic caps circled in the illustration below.
Slide the Front Basket into the Rear Basket.
Attach the two Side Plates to both sides where the Front Basket and Rear Basket are connected (See #1). Next, insert the Bolts through the two holes on the top, and
two holes on the bottom of each of the Side Plates, slide washers onto the Bolts, and then thread Nuts onto each of the 4 bolts. Using the 5mm Hex Key (supplied) to
hold the Bolt in place, securely tighten Nut using wrench. Do the same for the remaining 3 Bolts/Nuts (See #2).

Note - Position basket on the roof of car. Make sure the fairing with the “Retrospec” logo is pointed towards the front of the vehicle.
Snap the Bracket Saddle, onto the bottom of the Basket. The Bracket Saddle will sit on the Cross Bars of the vehicle. Secure the Bracket Saddle with the Bracket Top Plate and U-Bolt
(See #1). Secure by twisting a Knob onto each ends of the U-Bolts, then twist an End Knob onto each (See #2).
Note - Always position the saddles away from the center for maximum support as shown in #3.

Fairing

Retrospec grants the original purchaser of a new Retrospec accessory Roof Cargo Basket a non-transferable limited lifetime warranty subject to the limitations, terms and conditions stipulated below.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
• The product is warranted against defects in the materials and workmanship for the useful life cycle of the product. All products have a useful life cycle. Once the product has reached the end of its
life-cycle it will no longer be eligible for warranty replacement or adjustments.
• This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
• When contacting us for a warranty issue an original proof of purchase is required clearly identifying the product.
• The product must be returned to Retrospec for inspection along with copies of the original proof of purchase. The owner of the product is responsible for shipping costs.
• Should Retrospec determine that the product or any of its components are covered by this warranty, Retrospec’s determination of the product’s eligibility for warranty repair or replacement is final and binding.
• If, at the time of replacement, Retrospec does not have available the same product, the consumer may be oered a substitute product of equal or better value.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THE LIMITED WARRANTY:
• Damage due to improper assembly.
• Damage due to mounting the Roof Cargo Basket on a trailer or recreational vehicle.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Damage due to lack of maintenance.
• Damage due to installation of non-original parts, components, or accessories.
• Damage due to loading of any item(s) that exceeds the stated weight capacity of the Roof Cargo Basket and/or vehicle weight ratings.
• Damage or failure due to improper use, accidents, neglect, or failure to follow the instructions provided with the product.
• The paint and finish of the Roof Cargo Basket.
• Damage to bicycles or automobile.
• Damage or injury due to contents falling from Roof Cargo Basket.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties. Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose created hereby are limited to the same duration as the express
warranty herein. This warranty is void in its entirety if the product is modified in any manner. All provisions in this limited warranty are separate and severable. If any provision is held invalid and
unenforceable, such determination shall not aect the validity or enforceability of the other provisions hereof. Except to the extent specifically prohibited by law, Retrospec shall in no way be
responsible for direct, incidental or consequential damages, including, without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses whether based on contract, warranty,
negligence, product liability, or any other theory.
