frequencyrangeof0.8to3GHzandanattenuationrangeof0to110dB.
2.TheunitrunsontheWindowsoperatingsystem,andiscontrolledthrough
anRJ45EthernetinterfacebyTCP/IPprotocol.Inordertocontrolthe
attenuationofeachchannel,accessiblebyRS232serialcommunication,
userscanwritePCcontrolprogramsinVBScript,undertheRS232serial
communicationprotocol.
3.Theprogrammabletestsubsystemcansimplifytestsetups,suchas
handover,variablehandover,andfadeattenuator.Itsmostcommonuseis
inwirelesscommunicationsignaltests,inthestandard19‐inchrackpackage,
withhighaccuracyandstability.Inadditiontoadjustingtheunitremotely
throughLAN,RS‐232,orUSBinterface,youcanalsoeasilyadjustitinlocal
manualmode.WithalargeLCDdisplay,keyboard,andknob,thesub‐system
alsohasthecapabilityofsendingandreceivingRS‐232and/orEthernet
commandsthatyoucanformattomeetyourspecificcommand
requirements.

theaddress‐settingprogram(Figure2).IfyouplantousethedefaultIP
address,pressF2shipto"Remote/LocalSetting"screen(Figure3)
Forexample:IfyouwanttomodifytheIPaddressfrom192.168.1.112to
192.168.1.224,rotatetheknobtoposition112,andnoticethatthefieldisnow
highlightedinblue.Type“224”.UsetheESCkeytocancelmistakes.After
youfinish,pressF1tosavethesetting.Theremote/localsettingscreenwill
open.

advancesthesystemtothechannel‐settingscreen(Figure5).Tomakea
singlechannelselection,pressF1.Rotatetheknobtoselectachannel,
indicatedbyanasterisk(*)SeeFigure6.PressENTERtoreturnthemain
screen,andthecolorofactivechannelwillchangefromblacktoblue.
Therearetwowaystosettheattenuationvalue.Onewayisthroughthe
keyboard.Forexample,toset45dB,enter“45”,thenpressENTERtoset
theactivechannelattenuation(Figure7).Ifyoumakeamistake,pressESC
toundothelastentry.Thesecondmethodisusingtheknob.The
attenuationintheactivechannelwillincreasebyrotatingtheknob
clockwise,anddecreasebyrotatingitcounterclockwise.Settheattenuation
bypressingtheknobslightly.
