Cabinet
• Durable Pre-painted Steel Cabinet
While blending effortlessly into your home’s lands ape, the
attra tive, low-profile, louvered, warm grey steel abinet
provides style and prote tion from yard hazards and weather
extremes. Epoxy primed with a beautiful polyester oated
finish, it an withstand a 1000 hour salt spray test.
• Louvered Side Panels
Louvered side panels prote t the oil from getting damaged
by flying debris during high winds and storms. Rheem heat
pumps are built to last, year after year.
• Base Pan
The entire line of Rheem heat pump pool heaters use a sturdy,
one-pie e drawn base pan. This pan elevates the oil off the
pad, helping minimize orrosion while redu ing sound and
vibration.
• Easy Service Access
All ontrols are a essible by removing one servi e panel.
Removable top grille provides a ess to the ondenser fan
motor, ompressor and ondenser oil.
Compressor and Refrigerant Circuit
• Scroll®Compressor
S roll ompressors are quiet and effi ient ompared to piston
type ompressors. They provide higher effi ien y, lower
sound levels, superior durability and unsurpassed reliability.
The unique design of a s roll ompressor a tually wears in
over time, not out!
• R410A Refrigerant
Rheem uses only R410A, a hlorine-free, high performan e
refrigerant that is better for the environment.
• External Refrigerant Connections
The 1/4” harging ports are onveniently lo ated on the
outside of the abinet. This allows for qui k and easy
refrigerant servi e without having to dismantle the heater.
• Refrigerant Pressure Controls
Rheem installs high and low pressure ontrols on all models
to prote t the s roll ompressor from pressure extremes. Most
small, value pri ed units delete this type of prote tion.
• TXV and Filter/Drier
Rheem heat pumps ome standard with Parker®TXV’s. This
allows for the refrigerant harge to be throttled during old
starts, thus extending the life of the ompressor and
eliminating nuisan e lo k outs. We also in lude premium
filter/driers for long life and trouble free operation. Again,
these omponents are not usually found on the small, value
pri ed heat pumps. Rheem puts the same high quality
omponents used in our larger units into our smallest units.
This ensures you get the highest quality unit with the Rheem
name to ba k it up, all in the value pri ed unit.
Evaporator Coil
• Large Air Coils
Rheem heat pump pool heaters use an innovative
wraparound outdoor oil onstru ted of opper tubing and
aluminum fins. This design allows improved airflow transfer
and helps redu e energy onsumption. Rheem engineered
oils are highly optimized to meet our spe ifi design
requirements. We are the only heat pump pool heater company
to actually manufacture our own coils!
Heat Exc anger
• Spiral Titanium Tube
Our spiral titanium tube heat ex hanger provides a orrosion-
free waterway that an withstand the abuses of harsh pool
hemistry. The spiral tube helps redu e deposit build-up and
in reases effi ien y by performing a “s oop-and-lift” a tion.
This is the same high quality heat ex hanger used in our
larger heat pumps. At Rheem, we value reliability and true
performan e. That’s why we are AHRI ertified and listed.

installation.
Fan Blade and Motor
• “Swept Wing” Fan Blades
Spe ially designed "Swept Wing" fan blades operate more
effi iently and generate minimum sound. Rheem heat pumps
are pa ked full of premium quality omponents.
• Fan Motor
The Premium Emerson®permanent-split apa itor (PSC),
sealed ball bearing motor is mat hed spe ifi ally for the fan
blade assembly, whi h allows optimum effi ien y with
extended motor life.
Controls - Digital
• Pool/Spa Control
Your digital heat pump pool heater an
be set to have a different target
temperature for your pool and spa. This
allows you to dial in just the right spa
temperature and never have to adjust it
again. The pool an be set to a lower,
more energy saving temperature. This is
the exa t same high end ontrol we use
on our larger heat pumps, not some
defeatured value style ontroller.

most two-wire and three-wire remote systems.
