Multi Direct Print
Adds the MDP printer port
Auto detection of printers on the network while
adding printer ports
1. Product Outline
Multi Direct Print Type S is the utility that provides Port Monitoring function
for peer to peer connection with TCP/IP protocol.
This utility will be installed when a network port is chosen during printer
software installation for Windows 95, 98 and Me.
MDP IPP Port does basically the same thing, but using an IPP port instead of
a typical TCP/IP port.

Status Monitor Function
The status monitor provides the following two
major functions:

Troubleshooting guide

The status monitor window shows on the PC screen if an error occurs while
printing.
This feature can also show when the print job is completed.
Troubleshooting guide
Troubleshooting guide comes with the Status Monitor.
Double click the status monitor icon to access the guide.
The guide is flash movie that lets you find solutions for the following:
¾Clearing paper jams
¾Loading paper
¾Closing covers
¾Installing the toner cartridge
¾Solving system errors

Remote Control Panel
RCP is the software control panel for DOS
environment.
It provides printer control when DOS printer
drivers are not available or when certain print
settings are not available through DOS software
program.

RCP is not a printer driver.
It should be used to set print settings that are not available through the DOS
software program.
Printer drivers are supplied by the manufacturers of DOS software program.

Set IP
Set IP is the utility that enables users to
configure IP address, Subnet Mask and Default
Gateway.
The utility is necessary for non-DHCP
environment when users connect the printer via
TCP/IP.
