Step 4: Cleaning & Charging
Wipe the device clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol
or 0.5% accelerated hydrogen peroxide wipes.
Before returning Ring Cutter to
the case, clean Finger Guard
groove with the provided
cleaning tool.
After cleaning, plug-in Ring
Cutter and charge for next use.

Troubleshooting & Indicators
Amber lights indicate improper use. If amber lights
ash, pause cutting and resolve the issue. The Ring Cutter
will stop cutting for 10 seconds if improper use continues.
Cutting can resume after amber lights have cleared.
Examples of improper use:
• Insufcient lubrication
•Moving or maneuvering the Ring Cutter during cutting
•Forcing the cutting disc into the ring

When the battery level becomes
critically low, the device will disable
the Trigger, but will still allow the
Open/Close Buttons to operate.
Plug the device in to immediately
enable the Trigger.

The Status Light displays the state of the
Ring Cutter:
• DO NOT force the cutting disc into
the ring. Allow the Ring Cutter to
cut automatically.
• Avoid excessive motion during
cutting.
• DO NOT use Open/Close Buttons
during cutting.

If battery level is low,
the Ring Cutter can be
operated plugged-in.
Regularly monitor ring temperature
during cut. If ring is warm, add
lubricant or pause cutting. Use
only between 10 - 25°C (50 - 77°F)
ambient temperature.
DO NOT touch cutting disc during
operation.
Turn On
Hold Open Button to open
Finger Guard.
Use a new AssureCUT™
Disc for each patient.
To install a new disc:
I. Remove Thumbscrew
II. Install disc
III. Reattach Thumbscrew

Step 3: Completing A Cut

Most rings require two cuts
for removal. Rotate ring
180° and repeat steps 5 - 10.
cutting time for standard size rings.
Expect
3 - 6 minutes
The Progress Indicator will ash green
when cut is complete. Hold the Open
Button to remove Finger Guard from
under the ring.
Once the ring is removed, discard
the used disc. AssureCUT™ Discs
are single patient use only.
AssureCUT™ Discs
are SINGLE USE ONLY

Insert Finger Guard under the
ring until ring touches the rear of
the guard.
Hold the Close Button to close
the Finger Guard until the disc
touches the ring.
Position the patient’s hand and the Ring Cutter on a at,
stable surface. A typical ring takes 3 - 6 minutes to cut.
The Ring Cutter can cut rings up to US size 13.5 - For tips
cutting uncommon rings, see Technical Reference.
Pull Trigger to begin cutting.
The Ring Cutter will cut the ring
automatically! Monitor your
progress with the Progress
Indicator.

The Lubrication Reminder will
periodically ash blue during
cutting. Apply 2 sprays of Ring
Lubricant to the disc when
indicated. You can continue
cutting while applying the Ring
Lubricant.
