INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Riptunes Bluetooth® CD
Boombox. Read these instructions before using your Boombox to
get the most enjoyment from your new unit.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND
RESERVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU
IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY OPERATING PROBLEM.
1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the
unit’s main speakers, do not disassemble the unit. There are
no user-serviceable parts inside. Contact technical support for
further assistance.
2. WARNING: To prevent re or electric shock hazard, do not
expose the unit to rain or moisture (including drips or splash-
es). Objects lled with liquids, such as vases and water bottles,
should not be placed on or near the unit.
3. WARNING: The unit uses a Laser System. To prevent direct expo-
sure to the laser beam, do not open the unit. Visible and invisi-
ble laser radiation is present when the unit is open. Avoid direct
exposure. Do not stare into the beam.
4. WARNING: Do not expose the Boombox or batteries to excessive
heat, such as direct sunlight, re, or other heat sources.
5. WARNING: Use only the attachments/accessories provided by
the manufacturer, except for a standard 3.5 mm auxiliary cable.
6. Do not place objects on top of the unit.
7. Do not place the system on an unstable table, stand, tripod,
bracket or cart. The unit may fall, resulting in possible damage
or injury.
8. Unplug the power from the outlet during lightning storms or
when the unit is not in use.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or ground-
ing-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a
third grounding prong. The wide blade and/or the third prong
are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t

into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the POWER cord from being walked on or pinched par-
ticularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the apparatus.
11. Dispose of this unit properly, respecting your local laws for elec-
tronics and battery disposal.

Riptunes™ warrants this product against defects in
material and workmanship to the original purchaser as
specified below provided product is registered online
within fourteen (14)days of purchase.
PARTS –if the product is determined to
have a manufacturing defect, within a
period of one (1) year from the date of the
original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair or
replace the product parts at no charge (for
parts) toyou in the U.S.A. and Canada.
LABOR –if the product is determined to
have a manufacturing defect, within a
period of ninety (90) Days from the date of
the original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair
or replace the product at no charge to you
in the U.S.A. and Canada, After ninety (90)
days it will be the responsibility of the
consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center
is the sole responsibility of thec onsumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized Riptunes™
service center, please email us at: support@rip-
tunes.com to obtain a Repair and Maintenance
Authorization (RMA) number and to locate the service
center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail
the product, to the authorized Riptunes™ service
center in its original product packaging materials or
equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Riptunes™ determine that the product
is outside of the Warranty term, Riptunes™ will return
the product to sender at sender’s expense without
being repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the
consumer to service the out of warranty product at
consumer’s expense. All handling or restocking charges
for returns and/or replacements shall be non-
refundable.
Riptunes™ specifically excludes from this warranty any
non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories and
disposable parts including but not limited to outside
case, connecting cables, batteries and AC adaptors.
Riptunes™ reserves the right to repair or replace
defective products with the same, equivalent or newer
models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace
product at our discretion. Replacement may be either
new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be
made to ensure it is the same model, if same model is
not available it will replaced with a model of equal or
higher specification.
Normal“Wear and Tear” is not covered by this
warranty.Further, Riptunes™ hereby reserves the right
to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products.
Tampering or opening the product casting or shell, will
voidt hiswarranty in its entirety.
Also this warranty does not apply if the product has
been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or
misapplication;has been altered or modified without
the written permission of Riptunes™; has been
serviced by a non-authorized repair center of
Riptunes™; has not been properly maintained or
operated according to the operation manual; has
been used for commercial, non-household purposes;
cosmetically damaged; was not imported by
Riptunes™; was not manufactured according to
specification of the United States market; improper
installation or neglect; damaged due to improper
packaging in shipment; damaged due to natural
disasters; if the serial number for the product has
been removed or defaced; orfor cosmetic damages.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
GETTING STARTED AND BLUETOOTH® PAIRING
Applying Power
Your Bluetooth CD Boombox can run on AC power or on 8 C batter-
ies (not included).
To run on AC power, plug the AC power cord into the AC Input
connector (22) on the rear of the boombox. Plug the other end into
a grounded wall outlet.
To run on battery power:
1. Open the Battery door (23) by gently pushing the tabs on the
compartment door in the direction indicated on the bottom of
the boombox.
2. Insert 8 C size batteries (not included) into the battery compatr-
ment. Follow the diagram in the battery compartment to insert
the batteries correctly.
3. Slide the Battery door back into place.
Pairing to a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn the boombox on.
2. Set the function switch to the CD/BT position.
3. Push the CD/BT button to BT mode.
4. When the Boombox digital display indicates “No”, press the
CD/BT button once. The blue BT indicator light will turn on.
5. Turn the external Bluetooth device on and enter Bluetooth
search mode.
6. Your external Bluetooth device displays CDB-232BT when it
detects the boombox. Select CDB-232BT to begin pairing.
7. When the external Bluetooth device and boombox are paired, a
tone will sound in the speaker again and the blue BT indicator
will stop blinking.
Note: If pairing fails, delete CDB-232BT from the available Bluetooth
devices list on your external device and try pairing the two again
using the instructions above.

PLAYING MUSIC
Your Bluetooth CD Boombox plays music from any Bluetooth media
device, CDs/CD-Rs/CD-RWs, and AM/FM radio.
Playing Music from a Bluetooth Device
Once you have paired the Boombox with your Bluetooth device,
you can begin playing music by choosing the song you wish to hear
on your device. Use the controls on your Bluetooth device to adjust
playback.
Remember that Bluetooth devices have a range of about 30 feet (9
meters). If a connected device is moved too far from the Boombox,
the device will disconnect. Once the device is back in range the
Boombox will automatically try to reconnect with it.
1. Use the controls on your Bluetooth device to play/pause music
as usual, or to skip/search for audio les.
2. Adjust the volume level using the boombox VOLUME knob.
3. When you’re done using the Boombox, slide the Function switch
to OFF to turn it o.
Playing a CD
1. Open the CD Door (20) by liing it with your thumb and index
nger.
2. Insert a CD with the label facing UP.
3. Press down on the CD Door to close it.
4. Set the Function switch (2) to the CD/BT position. The Boombox
turns on and the total number of tracks on the CD are listed on
the display. If the tracks do not display, the unit is in Bluetooth
mode. Press the CD/BT button (7) to set the Boombox to CD
mode.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (9) to start playing the CD. The
PLAY/PAUSE Indicator Light (15) illuminates.
6. To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The PLAY/
PAUSE Indicator Light will blink. Resume playback by pressing
the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
7. Press the STOP button (8) to stop playing the CD.

To skip tracks on a CD:
• To skip to the next track, press the NEXT/F.FWD button (11).
• To restart the current track, press the PREV/F.REV button (6)
once.
• To skip to a previous track, press the PREV/F.REV button seve-
ral times until the track you want to hear is shown in the LED
Display (14).
To search tracks on a CD:
• To scan through the current track, press and hold the
NEXT/F.FWD button until you reach the desired portion of the
track.
• To scan backward through the current track, press and hold
the PREV/F.REV button until you reach the desired portion of
the track.
To repeat CD playback:
• Press the REPEAT/PROGRAM button (10) once to repeat a
single track. The REPEAT Indicator Light (16) blinks and the
track will immediately replay.
• Press the REPEAT/PROGRAM button twice to repeat the entire
CD once playback is complete. The REPEAT Indicator Light
turns on steadily.
• Cancel repeat playback by pressing the REPEAT/PROGRAM
button until the REPEAT Indicator Light turns o.
To program the Boombox to play up to 20 tracks of a CD in any
desired order:
1. Stop the CD if it’s playing by pressing the STOP button (8).
2. Press the REPEAT/PROGRAM button. The PROGRAM Indicator
Light blinks, and a blinking “01” shows in the Display.
3. Press the NEXT/F.FWD or PREV/F.REV button until the number of
the rst track you want to program appears in the Display.
4. Press the REPEAT/PROGRAM button to program the rst track.
A blinking “02” shows in the Display.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for each track you wish to program.
6. When you are done programming tracks, press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to start playing the CD in the order you programmed.

Both the PROGRAM and PLAY/PAUSE Indicator Lights will be
ON.
7. Stop programmed playback by pressing the STOP button twice.
The PROGRAM Indicator Light turns OFF.
Playing Music Through Auxiliary input Jack
You can also play media from other non-Bluetooth devices using
the auxiliary input jack. Plug one end of a 3.5mm stereo audio cable
into the Boombox AUX-IN JACK (1), and the other end into your
external device.
Note: The Boombox automatically stops any Bluetooth, CD, or
Radio playback when you plug the audio cable in.
Use the controls on your device to control all playback.
Unplug the audio cable to resume Bluetooth, CD, or radio playback.
Playing the Radio
To play the radio:
1. Set the Function switch to Radio.
2. Set the Band switch (4) to AM, FM, or FM.ST.
3. The Radio automatically begins playing.
4. Adjust the Tuning Knob (5) to select the desired radio station.
5. Adjust the antenna for best reception.
Note: We suggest you turn the Boombox o when not in use to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption.

Noise or sound distorted on AM or FM
broadcast.
• Retune the AM or FM station.
• Reposition the Boombox and/or
antenna to get the best recep-
tion.
No sound from AM or FM.

RADIO position.

CD player will not play.

envoyer le produit au centre de service autorisé Riptunes™
dans ses matériaux d’emballage d’origine ou l’équivalent,
pouréviter tout dommage pendant le transport.
De plus, siRiptunes™ devait déterminer que le produit est en
dehors des conditions de la garantie, Riptunes™ retournerale
produità l’expéditeur aux frais de celui-ci sans être réparé ou
remplacé, saufs’il est autorisé par le consommateur à servir

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
INICIANDO Y EMPAREJAMIENTO CON BLUETOOTH®
Suministro de Energía
Su Boombox con CD puede funcionar con suministro de energía AC
o con 8 Baterías tamaño C (no incluidas).
Para funcionar con suministro de energía AC, conecte el cable de
suministro de energía AC en el conector de entrada AC (22) en la
parte trasera del Boombox. Conecte el otro extremo A un tomacor-
rientes con conexión a tierra.
Para funcionar con baterías:
1. Abra suavemente la tapa del compartimento de baterías (23)
presionando las pestañas de la tapa en la dirección indicada en
la parte de abajo del boombox.
2. Inserte 8 baterías tamaño C (no incluidas) en el compartimento
de baterías. Siga el diagrama en el compartimento de baterías
para insertar las pilas correctamente.
3. Deslice la tapa del compartimento de baterías para colocarla
en su lugar.
Emparejando a un dispositivo Bluetooth
1. Encienda el boombox.
2. Deslice el interruptor de Funciones a la posición CD/BT.
3. Presione el botón CD/BT al modo BT.
4. Cuando la pantalla digital Boombox indique “No”, presione
CD / BT una vez. La luz azul de BT se encenderá.
5. Encienda el dispositivo externo Bluetooth y colóquelo en el
modo de búsqueda Bluetooth.
6. Su dispositivo externo Bluetooth mostrará en la pantalla CDB-
232BT cuando detecte el boombox. Seleccione CDB-232BT para
comenzar el emparejamiento.
7. Ya que el dispositivo externo Bluetooth y el boombox estén
emparejados, sonará un tono en el altavoz, y el indicador azul
BT dejará de parpadear.
