massimo della sicurezza e dell’efcienza. Raccomandiamo di leggere attentamente il contenuto del manuale al

ne di poter intervenire correttamente nella manutenzione e poter sfruttare al meglio le caratteristiche speciche

della centralina.

1. AVVERTENZE - PRECAUZIONI IMPORTANTI

Quando si usano apparecchi elettrodomestici occorre sempre seguire alcune basilari precauzioni di sicurezza,

incluse le seguenti:

1. Utilizzare l’apparecchio solo se l’impianto elettrico presenta caratteristiche conformi a quanto riportato

sull’etichetta apposta sull’apparecchio stesso e nel presente manuale.

2. Utilizzare la centralina solo ed esclusivamente con incubatrici River Systems.

3. Durante l’uso, la centralina deve essere posizionata su di un tavolo, ad un’altezza di almeno 0,5 mt dal

pavimento, in posizione orizzontale, stabile e ssa, in prossimità di un’incubatrice.

4. Non avvicinare a fonti di calore.

5. Tenere l’apparecchio al di fuori della portata dei bambini.

6. Questo apparecchio non è destinato all’uso da parte di persone (bambini compresi) con ridotte capacità

siche, mentali o sensoriali, o prive di esperienza e conoscenza, o non istruiti in merito all’uso dell’apparecchio

da parte di una persona responsabile della loro sicurezza.

7. Per evitare scosse elettriche, non immergere la centralina in acqua o in altri liquidi.

8. Non usare o riporre l’apparecchio in ambienti con sostanze corrosive, inammabili o esplosive.

9. Prima dell’utilizzo, e comunque prima di inserire la spina nella presa di corrente, vericare lo stato dei

cavi esterni. Per scollegare l’apparecchio staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente e disconnettere i vari

collegamenti utilizzati.

10. Non usare l’apparecchio se il circuito elettrico, la scatola di derivazione e/o i suoi cavi sono danneggiati,

oppure se la centralina è caduta o in qualche modo danneggiata.

11. Tenere la centralina al riparo da urti.

12. Aprire il coperchio trasparente della centralina SOLO per l’eventuale sostituzione del fusibile. Qualsiasi

altra operazione di manutenzione DEVE ESSERE EFFETTUATA ESCLUSIVAMENTE DA PERSONALE

AUTORIZZATO E SPECIALIZZATO.

13. Staccare la spina o i vari collegamenti utilizzati quando non si utilizza l’apparecchio.

14. Pulire la macchina a ne utilizzo (vedi capitolo n.7).

15. Non utilizzare accessori non originali: accessori non raccomandati o non venduti dalla ditta produttrice

possono causare incidenti.

16. Non utilizzare all’aperto.

17. Non lasciare i cavi sospesi sul bordo del tavolo ed assicurarsi che non costituiscano intralcio al libero

passaggio. I cavi devono essere protetti e resi inaccessibili agli animali.

18. È preferibile che la formazione degli utilizzatori della macchina sia documentata.

19. CONSERVARE CON CURA QUESTE ISTRUZIONI.

20. IN ASSENZA DI BATTERIE, LA MACCHINA FUNZIONA SOLAMENTE CON ALIMENTAZIONE DI RETE

(ESCLUDENDO IL PANNELLO SOLARE).

NOTA:

LA DITTA PRODUTTRICE NON PUÒ ESSERE RITENUTA IN ALCUN CASO

RESPONSABILE DI INCIDENTI O DANNI CONSEGUENTI AD USI NON PREVISTI

DELL’APPARECCHIO. QUALSIASI USO NON PREVISTO DELL’APPARECCHIO

COME FUNZIONA SOLARIS®

Il sistema SOLARIS® è stato progettato e assemblato, interamente in Italia, per garantire l’ottimale funzionamento

delle nuove incubatrici della serie ET EGG TECH® 24VDC di River Systems. Questi nuovi modelli di incubatrici

sono stati progettati per funzionare anche nel caso in cui la tensione di rete non sia disponibile.

Le incubatrici non sono autonome e richiedono una alimentazione elettrica a 24V in corrente continua, che

deve essere fornita da dispositivi esterni collegati a SOLARIS®. Durante le prime 2-3 ore di funzionamento

la potenza assorbita sarà di circa 150W, ed è necessario prevedere che l’alimentazione esterna abbia una

potenza adeguata.

4. PREPARAZIONE E MESSA IN FUNZIONE DELLA CENTRALINA

L’incubatrice collegata alla centralina SOLARIS® può operare in due diverse modalità:

• Alimentazione di rete (che carica anche le batterie)

• Batterie auto (che possono essere caricate da pannello solare e/o alimentazione di rete)

SOLARIS® deve essere posizionata accanto all’incubatrice, per la quale bisogna scegliere un ambiente in

cui la temperatura sia compresa tra +20°C e +25°C, essere privo di correnti d’aria, pulito, ben aerato e

confortevole. Le macchine non devono essere esposte ai raggi diretti del sole o collocate vicino a fonti di calore

come termosifoni, stufe, ecc.

Non usare o conservare la centralina in locali dove siano presenti sostanze chimiche, velenose, tossiche o

inammabili (anche in piccole concentrazioni).

4A - COLLEGAMENTO DI SOLARIS®ALL’INCUBATRICE

Posizionare SOLARIS® a sinistra dell’incubatrice, sullo stesso livello, sopra un tavolo alto minimo 0,5mt dal

pavimento, in posizione orizzontale, stabile e ssa.

Dopo aver collegato l’unità girauova come da istruzioni fornite con l’incubatrice (vedi Allegato 2 incubatrice)

unire il cavo di alimentazione IEC femmina (9) predisposto sulla centralina SOLARIS®(foto B) a quello di

alimentazione IEC maschio dell’incubatrice (foto A) come da foto C.

4B - COLLEGAMENTO DI SOLARIS®ALLE BATTERIE

Collegare in serie due batterie auto al piombo da 12V minimo 45Ah usando il cavo a due morsetti (11), (vedi

foto D).

Collegare il morsetto del cavo nero (polo negativo) (7) al corrispondente polo della batteria auto (foto E).

Collegare il morsetto del cavo rosso (polo positivo) (6) al corrispondente polo della batteria auto (foto F).

4C - COLLEGAMENTO DI SOLARIS®AL PANNELLO SOLARE

Unire i connettori (4 e 5) alla rispettiva prolunga (12) - (vedi foto G).

Collegare i cavi ad un pannello solare da massimo 360W con tensione nominale di 24 VDC, con connessione

femmina CABUR KX04VM4060 e maschio CABUR KX04VM4060. Procurarsi eventuali ulteriori prolunghe o

cavi più lunghi in caso di necessità.

Inserire la spina (8) ad una presa di alimentazione di rete (foto H).

5. FUNZIONAMENTO DELLA CENTRALINA

Nella centralina ci sono due interruttori uno verde (3) e uno rosso (2). Premere il tasto verde (3) per avviare

l’alimentazione di rete; premere il tasto rosso (2) per utilizzare le batterie e/o il pannello solare.

Nel pannello serigrafato della centralina sono presenti un tasto A (1c) e uno B (1d) e due led (1a e 1b).

• Premere il tasto A per visualizzare le quantità di Ampere assorbiti dall’incubatrice (è normale che all’avvio

dell’incubatrice il valore sia negativo in quanto l’assorbimento di energia è maggiore.

• Premere il tasto B per vericare lo stato di carica delle batterie. Se il valore è inferiore a 24V le batterie sono

scariche.

• Il LED di destra acceso indica che la centralina è in funzione. (1b)

• Il LED di sinistra acceso indica che le batterie sono cariche al 100%. (1a)

Il display si spegne dopo alcuni secondi per ridurre al minimo i consumi.

Modo d’uso della centralina SOLARIS

®

:

Premendo il tasto verde (3) l’incubatrice funziona attraverso l’energia proveniente dalla rete elettrica a 110V o

230V.

Premendo il tasto rosso (2) la macchina funziona tramite le batterie, che possono essere caricate da un pannello

fotovoltaico dalle prestazioni adeguate.

Premendo i tasti verde (3) e rosso (2) insieme l’incubatrice funziona tramite le batterie che sono caricate sia dal

pannello fotovoltaico che dalla linea elettrica. SOLARIS

®

è progettata per dare priorità all’assorbimento di energia

derivante dal pannello solare, in modo da minimizzare il consumo di energia elettrica proveniente dalla rete; se il

fotovoltaico non dovesse essere sufciente, le batterie saranno caricate dall’alimentazione di rete.

Attenzione: il sistema, senza il supporto delle batterie, non può funzionare con il solo pannello solare.

6. MALFUNZIONAMENTO

Nel caso SOLARIS

®

smettesse di funzionare, scollegare la centralina da tutte le alimentazioni elettriche, rimuovere

il coperchio svitando le 4 viti agli angoli (foto I) e verificare se il fusibile (13) è saltato: in tal caso sostituirlo con

quello di ricambio in dotazione o uno analogo.

7. PULIZIA E STOCCAGGIO A FINE USO

Staccare SOLARIS

®

da tutte le fonti di alimentazione quando non viene usata, prima di qualsiasi intervento di

manutenzione e pulizia.

Per pulire la centralina utilizzare un panno umido e, se necessario, un detergente delicato. Non utilizzare detergenti

aggressivi.

La manutenzione delle parti elettriche non è di competenza dell’utilizzatore.

8. GARANZIA

Le norme di garanzia hanno valore soltanto se la centralina viene impiegata nelle condizioni di uso previsto.

Qualsiasi riparazione o modica apportata al dispositivo dall’utilizzatore o da ditte non autorizzate determina

la decadenza della garanzia.

La garanzia non si estende ai danni causati da imperizia o negligenza nell’uso della centralina, o da cattiva od

omessa manutenzione.

I prodotti da noi venduti sono coperti da garanzia alle seguenti condizioni:

1. La garanzia è valida per un periodo di dodici/ventiquattro (12/24) mesi: 12 mesi per aziende, 24 per privati.

2. Il produttore si assume l’impegno di sostituire a propria discrezione le parti mal funzionanti o di errata

fabbricazione, solo dopo un accurato controllo e riscontro di cattiva costruzione.

3. Sono sempre a carico dell’acquirente le spese di trasporto e/o spedizione.

4. Durante il periodo di garanzia i prodotti sostituiti diventano di proprietà del produttore.

5. Di questa garanzia può beneciare solamente l’acquirente originale che abbia rispettato le indicazioni

di normale manutenzione contenute nel manuale. La responsabilità del produttore sulla garanzia scade

nel momento in cui il proprietario originale cede la proprietà del prodotto, oppure siano state apportate

modiche allo stesso.

6. La garanzia non copre danni derivati da un’eccessiva sollecitazione come ad esempio l’utilizzo del prodotto

dopo la constatazione di un’anomalia o surriscaldamento della centralina, dall’utilizzo di metodi d’esercizio

non adeguati nonché dalla mancata osservazione delle istruzioni d’uso e manutenzione.

7. Il produttore non si assume alcuna responsabilità per eventuali difcoltà che dovessero sorgere nella

rivendita o nell’utilizzo all’estero dovuto alle disposizioni in vigore nel Paese in cui il prodotto è stato

venduto.

8. Il prodotto o parte del prodotto difettoso deve essere consegnato al produttore per la sostituzione; in caso

contrario la parte sostituita verrà addebitata all’acquirente.

NOTA:

IL MANCATO RISPETTO DELLE MODALITÀ DI INTERVENTO ED USO DELLA

CENTRALINA DESCRITTE NELLA PRESENTE DOCUMENTAZIONE COMPORTA IL

DECADIMENTO DEI TERMINI DI GARANZIA.

La garanzia non copre fermi macchina, mancata produzione etc.

9. SMALTIMENTO

In caso di smaltimento, fare riferimento alle norme locali per la rottamazione degli apparecchi

elettrici ed elettronici (D.Lgs n. 151 del 25/7/05 – 2002/96/CE – 2003/108/CE. Per nessuna

ragione gettare la centralina tra i riuti comuni.

Lo smaltimento dei riuti elettrici che non rispetti le norme vigenti comporta l’applicazione di

sanzioni amministrative e penali.

DALL’APPARECCHIO SE NON UTILIZZATO NELLA VERSIONE INTEGRALE E PER GLI

1. WARNINGS – IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

When using household appliances, it is important to follow some basic safety precautions, including the

following ones:

1. Use the appliance only when the wiring characteristics conform to the ones written in the present manual

and the label afxed on the machine.

2. Use the control unit only and exclusively with River Systems incubators.

3. While working, the control unit must on a table, in a horizontal position, stable and secure, near an incubator.

The table must be at least 500 mm (1,64 ft) high.

4. Do not place the control unit next to heat sources.

5. Do not leave the appliance within children’s reach.

6. This appliance is not to be used by people (children included) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental

capabilities, or with no experience and knowledge, or not properly instructed on the use of the control unit

by person in charge of their safety.

7. To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the control unit in water or other liquids.

8. Do not use or store the appliance in rooms with corrosive, ammable or explosive substances.

9. Before using the control unit, and before plugging it in, check the external wiring. To disconnect the

machine unplug it from the socket and disconnect the various links used.

10. Do not use the appliance if the electric cord, the junction box and / or its wires are damaged, or if the

control unit has been dropped or damaged in any way.

11. Keep the control unit safe from hits.

12. Open the transparent cover of the control unit ONLY for the possible replacement of the fuse. Any

other maintenance operation MUST BE DONE EXCLUSIVELY BY AUTHORISED AND SPECIALISED

PERSONNEL.

13. Unplug or the various connections used when the appliance is not in use.

14. Clean the machine after use (see chapter 7).

15. Do not use non original accessories. Accessories not recommended or not sold by the producer can

cause damage.

16. Do not use the equipment outdoors.

17. Do not leave the electric cord hanging on the edge of the table and ensure that it cannot be accidentally

entangled. The cord must be protected and kept out of reach of animals.

18. User training should be recorded.

19. KEEP THIS MANUAL FOR REFERENCE.

20. IN THE ABSENCE OF BATTERIES, THE MACHINE WORKS ONLY WITH MAINS POWER (THUS

EXCLUDING THE SOLAR PANEL).

3. HOW SOLARIS®WORKS

The SOLARIS® system was entirely designed and assembled in Italy to ensure the best working of the new

River Systems ET EGG TECH® 24VDC series incubators. These new incubator models have been designed

to work even if the mains voltage is not available. The incubators are not autonomous and require a 24V direct

current power supply, which must be supplied by external devices connected to SOLARIS®. During the rst

2-3 hours of operation, the absorbed power will be about 150W, and it is necessary to make sure that that the

external power supply is sufcient.

4. PREPARATION AND START-UP OF THE SOLARIS

®

CONTROL UNIT

The incubator connected to the SOLARIS® control unit can operate in two different ways:

• With mains power supply (which also charges the batteries)

• With car batteries (which can be charged by solar panel and / or mains power supply)

SOLARIS® must be placed next to the incubator, for which you must choose an environment where the

temperature is between + 20 °C and + 25 °C (+ 68 °F and + 77 °F), be free of drafts, clean, well ventilated

and comfortable. The machines must not be exposed to direct sunlight or placed near heat sources such as

radiators, stoves, etc. Do not use or store the control unit in places where there are chemical, poisonous, toxic

or ammable substances (even in small concentrations).

4A - CONNECTING SOLARIS®TO THE INCUBATOR

Place SOLARIS® to the left of the incubator, on the same level, on a table with a minimum height of 500 mm

(1,64 ft) from the oor, in a horizontal, stable and secure position.

After connecting the egg turning unit as per instructions supplied with the incubator (see Annex 2 incubator),

connect the female IEC power cable (9) on the SOLARIS®control unit (photo B) to the male IEC power cable

of the incubator (photo A) as shown in photo C.

4B - CONNECTING SOLARIS®TO THE BATTERIES

Connect two 12V 45Ah lead-acid car batteries in series using the two-terminal cable (11), (see photo D).

Connect the terminal of the black cable (negative pole) (7) to the corresponding pole of the car battery

(photo E).

Connect the terminal of the red cable (positive pole) (6) to the corresponding pole of the car battery (photo F).

4C - CONNECTING SOLARIS®TO THE SOLAR PANEL

Join the connectors (4 and 5) to the respective extension (12) - (see photo G).

Connect the cables to a solar panel of maximum 360W with a nominal voltage of 24 VDC, with CABUR

KX04VM4060 female connection and CABUR KX04VM4060 male connection. Get any additional extension

cords or longer cables, if necessary.

5. HOW THE CONTROL UNIT WORKS

The control unit has two buttons, a green one (3) and a red one (2). Press the green button (3) to start the

mains power supply; press the red button (2) to use the batteries and / or the solar panel.

On the screen-printed panel of the control unit there are key A (1c) and key B (1d) and two LEDs (1a and 1b).

• Press key A to view how many Ampere are absorbed by the incubator (when the incubator is started the

value is normally negative as the power absorption is bigger).

• Press key B to check the battery charge status. If the value is below 24V, the batteries are low.

• If the LED on the right is on, the control unit is working. (1b)

• If the LED on the left LED is on, the batteries are 100% charged. (1a)

The display turns off after a few seconds to minimize the power consumption.

How to use the SOLARIS® control unit:

By pressing the green button (3) the incubator works through the energy coming from the 110V or 230V mains.

By pressing the red button (2) the machine works with batteries, which can be charged by a photovoltaic panel

with adequate performance.

By pressing the green (3) and red (2) buttons together, the incubator works by using the batteries that are

charged both by the photovoltaic panel and by the power line. SOLARIS® is designed to give priority to the

absorption of energy deriving from the solar panel, in order to minimize the consumption of electricity from the

grid; if the photovoltaic system is not sufcient, the batteries will be charged from the mains supply.

Warning: the system, without the support of the batteries, cannot work with the solar panel alone.

6. MALFUNCTION

If SOLARIS

®

stops working, disconnect the control unit from all power supplies, remove the cover by unscrewing

the 4 screws in the corners

and check if the fuse

is blown: in this case replace it with the supplied

spare one or a similar one.

7. CLEANING AND STORAGE AFTER USE

Disconnect SOLARIS® from all power sources when not in use, before any maintenance and cleaning

operations.

To clean the control unit, use a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild detergent. Do not use aggressive detergents.

The maintenance of the electrical parts is not the responsibility of the user.

8. WARRANTY

The warranty is valid only if the control unit is used for its intended use.

Any repairs or modications made to the appliance by the user or by unauthorized companies will cause the

warranty to be null and void.

The warranty does not cover any damage caused by incompetence or negligence in the use of the control unit,

or by bad maintenance, or lack of it.

The products we sell are covered by warranty at the following conditions:

1. The warranty is valid for a period of twelve / twenty-four (12/24) months: 12 months for rms, 24 months

for private individuals.

2. The producer undertakes to replace at its discretion the malfunctioning or wrongly manufactured parts, only

after having thoroughly checked them and having veried the fault.

3. Transport and / or shipment costs are always at the purchaser’s care.

4. During the period of warranty, all replaced products become the producer’s property.

5. Only the original buyer who fullls the normal maintenance operations described in this manual can benet

from this warranty. Our responsibility on the warranty expires when the original owner cedes the property of

the product or if it has been modied.

6. The warranty does not cover damages caused by excessive stress, such as in case the product is used

after having ascertained an anomaly or overheating of the control unit, in case of improper use, and if the use

and maintenance instructions are not observed.

7. The producer is not to be held responsible for any difculty that may arise in the reselling or in the use in

foreign countries, caused by regulations existing in the Country where the product was sold.

8. The faulty product or part of the product must be delivered to the producer for its replacement; if not, the

replaced part will be charged to the buyer.

- Detailed description of the problem

NOTE:

IF THE METHODS OF INTERVENTION AND USE OF THE CONTROL UNIT DESCRIBED IN THIS

MANUAL ARE NOT RESPECTED, THE WARRANTY WILL BECOME NULL AND VOID.

The warranty does not cover machine-stops, nonproduction, etc.

9. DISPOSAL

In case of disposal, please make reference to the local rules for the disposal of electric and

electronic appliances (Legislative Decree no. 151 dated 25/7/05 - 2002/96/CE - 2003/108/CE.

Do not dispose of it with general household waste.

Administrative and criminal penalties will be imposed for non-compliance with standards pertaining

to the disposal of electrical waste.
