DRAGSTER KIT LESS ELECTRICS
THANKS FOR BUYING THIS RJ SPEED DRAGSTER KIT . IT IS MADE FOR STRAIGHT LINE DRAG RACING AND
MAY BE BROKEN IF RUN INTO SOLID OBJECTS REPEATEDLY AT HIGH SPEED. IT REQUIRES A MOTOR, BAT-
TERY PACK, AND A TWO CHANNEL RADIO CONTROL UNIT WITH TWO SERVOS OR ONE SERVO AND AN ESC.
A STANDARD SIZE OR MINI SERVO IS GOOD FOR THE STEERING AND A MINI SERVO IS BEST TO MOUNT IN
THE SWITCH PLATE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE A MICRO SWITCH INSTEAD OF AN ESC.
YOU WILL NEED A SMALL PAIR OF PLIERS, AND A 1/4” WRENCH OR NUT DRIVER. HEX WRENCHES TO FIT
THE SOCKET HEAD SCREWS IN THE KIT ARE INCLUDED. YOU WILL ALSO NEED PAINT FOR THE BODY AND
WING THAT IS MADE FOR LEXAN PLASTIC.
STEP 1 OPEN BAG D1 AND THE HARDWARE BAG INSIDE IT.
ASSEMBLE THE CHASSIS TO THE SUB FRAME ( SUB FRAME
ON TOP) WITH FOUR 1/4” SCREWS AND NUTS.
MAKE SURE THESE HOLES LINE UP
STEP 1
STEP 2 ATTACH THE BRACE WITH FOUR ANGLE
BRACKETS AND EIGHT 1/4” SCREWS. INSTALL ALL
THE SCREWS LOOSLY , THEN TIGHTEN THEM. STEP 2
STEP 3 OPEN BAG 2 . INSERT ONE 5/8 SCREW THRU THE
FRONT HOLE IN THE CENTER OF THE CHASSIS AND ADD THE
TWO ROUND WHITE PIVOT PLATES.
STEP 4 REMOVE ONE PLAIN 1/16 WIRE FROM BAG 1(NOT THE
ONE WITH ONE END THREADED). USE PLIERS TO BEND ONE
END ABOUT 90 DEG. 1/4 “ FROM THE END.INSERT THE BENT
END THRU THE SMALL HOLE IN THE FRONT AXLE PLATE AND
INSTALL IT ON THE PIVOT SCREW, ADD THE WASHER AND
LOCK NUT AND TIGHTEN LIGHTLY SO THAT THE PLATE WILL
ROTATE SMOOTHLY.
STEP 3
STEP 4
STEP 5 ATTACH A STEERING BLOCK TO EACH END OF
THE FRONT PLATE WITH A 5/8 SCREW AND NUT.
STEP 5
STEP 6 SNAP AN E-CLIP ON THE END OF EACH STUB AXLE
AND PRESS THEM INTO THE STEERING BLOCKS FROM THE
INSIDE. ADD TWO LINKS AT THE BACK OF THE BLOCKS AND
ATTACH TOGETHER WITH A 1/8 COLLAR AND SET SCREW
ALIGN THE STEERING BLOCKS AND TIGHTEN THE COLLAR
AND THE SCREWS AND NUTS THAT HOLD THE BLOCKS TO
