Building Zümi
Zümi has to be assembled before she comes to life. Help put
her together by following these steps.

5Connect only the motor wires

Make sure not to plug in the battery
just yet(because it may damage the
board if you turn it on too early.We'll
connect the battery in the last step!
CAUTION

6Flip the Zümi board on top of the chassis
Flip it over like a book cover!
Make sure to line up the four
lights with the chassis holes

9Insert the ribbon cable into the
Pi Camera latch 1x

In order to attach the Ribbon Cable to the Pi Camera,you
need to open the latch,insert the cable,then close the latch

Connect the Pi Camera to the Pi
Zero, and attach it to the Zümi
board

10 Attach the Pi Camera to the

PiCam ribbon cable into the
latch of the Raspberry Pi.
Make sure to close it!(
Make sure the wire colors
match the picture!

then mount it to the bracket

14 Plug the jumper wire into the four-pin
socket on the Zümi Board

otherwise your screen won't

Make sure not to connect or
disconnect components when
Zümi is on.It can damage
some parts.

You're done!

Zümi has to be in the off position to charge.You can switch her
on to check the battery percentage and then boot up.
TIP
Powering and Charging
Plug Zümi in while the switch is in the OFF position (‘O’) to charge
her battery.
Zümi is a computer. So like a computer, it’s best to shut Zümi o
through the dashboard rather than just flipping the switch o.
