Always inspect your new dry cutter for damaged parts before use.
2. Setting up your Dry Cutter
Place a tile on the dry cutter and mount the scoring wheel. Secure the
scoring wheel at the de-sired height by turning the handle on the lever.
Note that the slots in the scoring wheel holder are in line with the lever.
Do not use damaged or worn out scoring wheels, this will decrease
the quality of the cut or result in breakage of the tile.
3. Cutting Procedures
Put the tile onto the base plate at the desired position (3) and angle
(5). Note that the glazed side of the tile faces upwards.
Position the scoring wheel at the beginning of the tile and move the
scoring wheel over the tile in one smooth movement.
When cutting very rough tiles it may be necessary to repeat the sco-
ring movement until a continuous groove is made.
Move the cutter into the breaking position (4) by pulling the slide tube
on the lever. Put the breaker at the end of the tile near the end stop.
Move the lever down and apply sufficient force to break the tile.
Repetitive Cuts
The Rodia®Dry cutters are supllied with an adjustable tile stop that
allows for repetitive cuts. Simply secure the Cutting Guide at the des-
ired dimension to cut identical tiles.
Cutting larger tiles
In order to avoid breakage of lager tiles, the Rodia®dry cutters are sup-
plied with two product supports. These product supports can be hoo-
ked onto either side of the base plate.
Maintenance
Rodia®Dry Cutters are designed for minimum maintenance and dura-
bility. For the longevity of your Rodia®Dry Cutter and continued smooth
cutting movement simply keep the guiding bars dry and clean from cut-
ting debris. Store the Dry Cutter clean and dry in the original carrying
case.
Scoring Wheels
Scoring Wheels are an integral part of your Manual Tile Cutter. The
Performance of your Manual Tile Cutter depends highly on the quality
of the Scoring Wheels. We recommend you use original Rodia®
Scoring Wheels, which have proven their reliability when it comes to
realizing Precise Cuts time after time.
The use of Rodia®Scoring Wheels will result in a smoother cutting
movement and far less tile breakage.
