Pony is intended to be used on roads and designated paths.
ROG Bikes
The total weight of the cyclist and the luggage shall not exceed 110 kg. The bicycle is not intended
for performing acrobatic tricks, cross-country cycling, or extreme cycling. The improper use of
the bicycle may render its warranty void and cause the malfunction of some of its components. In
order to ensure that the bicycle is properly used, follow the safety recommendations.
Check whether the condition of the bike is suitable prior to every ride! Make sure that the braking surface on the bike rims is not damaged
and check that the rims are not excessively worn. The gears and brakes must be suitably set up, and the used cables must not be damaged. Make
sure that all nuts, clips and clamps are properly installed (see pp. 14, 15).

Safety
Recommendations
Be careful
While riding your bike, observe traffic rules and pay
aenon to what is happening around you.
2
Maintain a suitable safety distance behind other road
users. Always adjust the braking force and the safety
distance depending on the weather condions. When
braking, always first use the rear brake. The front brakes
affect the user with a greater shock, which could cause
him to lose control and fall if used incorrectly.
Safety distance
5
Get to know your bike
Before riding your bike for the first me, take me to
properly learn about your bike’s components and their use
(gears, brakes, etc.).
1No fellow passengers
Taking a fellow passenger on your bike can be dangerous
and is strongly advised against, even in the event that the
total weight of the passengers does not exceed 110 kg.
3
Parts replacement
When replacing bike parts, we advise to replace all of
the parts, the safety of which is of key importance,
with original Rog spare parts.
4Accidents happen
If the bike suffered a blow or damage, immediately stop
using it and take it to an authorised Rog repair service or
other expert repair service providers for inspecon. Before
using the bike again, properly replace all damaged parts.
6
Page 05 Manual for the Use of the Pony Folding Bike

Rainy weather condions cause poorer grip,
braking, and field of vision of all road users.
Therefore, in wet condions, the braking force of
your braking system significantly decreases, and
the tyres have significantly lower tracon than in
dry condions. In order to maintain control of your
bike in such condions, it is important to maintain
lower speeds and begin braking earlier and
gradually.
Riding your bike at dawn, in the dark, at night or in
other mes with poor visibility without proper
bicycle lights and reflectors is dangerous and could
result in severe bodily harm or death. In such
condions, cyclists are less noceable to other
road users, and this requires a higher level of
precauon. In order to ensure opmum safety, the
proper use of bicycle lights (front and rear light),
reflecng parts, and reflecng clothing (e.g.
reflecng strips, clothing, helmets) is required.
Before using your bike, make sure that your
clothing and transported items do not cover the
reflectors and lights.

Tyres
In order to ensure the safe use of your bike, the optimum energy consump-
tion when pushing the pedals, and the long service life of the tyres, it is
important to fill your tyres with sufficient air pressure. Pony bikes have
valves, which enable standard air pumping methods, such as the use of a
hand or foot air pump or air pumps at petrol stations.
Bike rims
The simple removal and fitting of bike rims enables easier bike transport
and tyre repair. Before use, make sure that the rims are properly fitted (see
p. 16), that they rotate correctly, and that they are aligned so that tyres are
not worn out by rubbing against the frame or the fork.
ROG Bikes
Maintain and regularly check the proper air pressure level in your
tyres. The necessary information is provided on the side of every tyre.
Warning!
Manual for the Use of the Pony Folding Bike Page 08

Gears
In addition to single-gear bikes, Pony bikes also include models with a
three and five-level internal gearing system. With multiple-gear systems,
shifting can be carried out by rotating a shifter on the right side of the
handlebar. In order to effectively shift, release the pressure from the pedals
and, at the same time, rotate the shifter while lightly pushing the pedals.
Brakes
Pony bicycles have two types of brakes. Linear-pull brakes (V-brakes)
operate by compressing the rims with two brake pads. Linear-pull brakes are
operated manually with separate levels for the rear and the front brakes. The
front brake lever is on the left side of the handlebar, and the rear brake lever
is on the right side of the handlebar. If the brake lever touches the handlebar
when pulled, the brakes must be re-adjusted. If the slots on the surface of the
brake pads are less than 1 mm deep, the pads must be replaced.
Instead of rear linear-pull brakes, Pony bikes without gears have a rear hub
brake system (coaster brakes). This brake system type is activated by
rotating the crank backwards. In order to brake most effectively, place the
cranks in a horizontal position and push the back pedal with controlled
force. The higher the force used to push on the pedal, the higher the
braking forces released up to the point when the back wheel is blocked and
begins to skid.
Chain
All Pony bikes use a “1/2 x 1/8” chain. After some time, the chain and the
sprocket wear out, which causes an inefficient and robust transfer of force
or it may even cause the chain to fall of the front and back sprockets.
Regular cleaning and lubrication prolongs the service life of the chain and
also facilitates the pushing of the pedals. Never use a new chain on worn
out sprockets and vice versa. It is recommended that the chain and the
sprocket be inspected and suitably replaced every 1000 kilometres. To do
so, it is recommended to turn to your authorised Rog repair service or other
expert repair service provider.
The use of special knowledge and tools is required for the service maintenance and repair and the set-up of the brakes. Do not attempt to disassemble or perform
service maintenance and repair on your bike alone. If you feel that your brakes do not function well or if you are experiencing trouble while braking, visit an
authorised Rog repair service or other suitably qualified expert repair service provider as soon as possible.
Warning!
ROG BikesPage 09 Manual for the Use of the Pony Folding Bike

Occasionally, the rear hub and the shifter must be adjusted and re-set. If you
feel that your shifter does not function smoothly or if you are experiencing
trouble while shifting, visit an authorised Rog repair service or other suitably
qualified expert repair service provider as soon as possible.
Lights and reflectors
Pony bicycles have two electrical LED lights. The white front light is
installed on the front fork of the bike and it includes three enclosed AAA
alkaline batteries. The rear red light is installed on the rear mudguard and
also has two enclosed AAA batteries. Both lights are switched on and off by
simply pressing a switch.
Every wheel also has a reflector. The reflectors are designed to reflect the
lights emitted by vehicles and street lighting, thus enabling better visibility
of the cyclist. Reflectors are not suitable replacement for required lights.
Prior to use, always ensure that the reflectors, lights, and their carriers are
properly fitted and in impeccable condition. In order to repair and replace
any damaged and improperly installed components, turn to your
authorised Rog repair service or other suitably qualified expert repair
service provider.
Prior to riding your bicycle, make sure that all of its parts function
properly. In the event of incorrect adjustability or functioning of a
particular bike part, turn to your authorised Rog repair service or
other suitably qualified expert repair service provider.

Maintenance
and cleaning
The proper and routine bike maintenance is an important
factor in ensuring comfortable and safe use. You can
significantly prolong the service life of your bike by observing
the basic guidelines for using and maintaining your bike.
2.3 bar
In order to achieve the maximum service life of your bike and tyres,
it is important to rounely check and maintain the recommended air
pressure in the inner tubes.
When cleaning your bike, first wipe dust and dirt from the frame with
a dry cloth and then with a wet cloth soaked in a mild detergent
mixture. Finally, wipe the bike frame with a dry cloth and polish it
using polishing wax. Clean the rims and any plasc parts of your bike
with water and a degreaser.
Cleaning your bike
1
2
In order to ensure maximum brake fricon, keep the rims and brake
pads clean and degreased. The use of lubricants, waxes, or polishes
for cleaning the brake pads is not permied.
Platišča in zavore
3Air in the inner tube
Aer your bike has been exposed to rain, dry it and properly protect
it using an an-corrosion coang. If the hub and the boom brackets
have been submerged in water, the wheel must be taken to an
authorised Rog repair service or other expert repair service provider
that will disassemble the components and re-lubricate them.
4Humidity and corrosion
ROG BikesPage 11 Manual for the Use of the Pony Folding Bike

Note: In case of any doubt or if you have quesons concerning the maintenance of your bike, turn to your authorised Rog repair service or other expert repair service.
5Maintaining the closing mechanism
To enable simple assembly and disassembly of your bike, it is
important to maintain a clean and well-lubricated closing mecha-
nism. If the folding mechanism becomes rigid and less flexible, it
must be opened, cleaned, and a silicone lubricant must be injected in
the slots of the folding mechanism. Aer injecng the lubricant,
bend the folding mechanism mulple mes to allow the lubricant to
apply to the closing mechanism well. If the folding mechanism sll
remains less flexible, visit an authorised Rog repair service or other
expert repair service provider that will properly disassemble the
folding mechanism, thoroughly clean it, and lubricate it.
6Keep in a dry place
Avoid leaving your bicycle in the rain. Keep it in a dry place. Also, do
not expose your bicycle to corrosive substances. Keep your bicycle in
a dry place and do not expose it to rain and corrosive substances.
8Damage to the colour coating
If the colour coang on the bike frame is damaged, use a correcve
lacquer to properly coat it, protecng it from any further rusng of
the damaged areas.
The roune cleaning and lubricaon of the chain will prolong its
service life. In order to properly maintain the chain, first degrease it
using a degreaser, then dry it, and finally apply chain lubricant.
9Chain maintenance
7Reflectors and lights
Regularly check the reflectors, lights, and their carriers, and make
sure to keep them clean, undamaged, and safely installed.
Rounely clean and lubricate all movable parts of the bike. All bike
components should be properly screwed and set up.

Place the screw thread of the pedal in the
screw hole on the right crank and slowly
manually rotate the screw thread
clockwise. If you feel any resistance while
rotang, this may be a result of an
incorrect angle while inserng the screw
thread into the screw hole. Turn the pedal
an-clockwise and once again screw in the
pedal at a correct angle. When you finish,
use a 15 mm open-end wrench to properly
fasten the pedal (torque 35 Nm).
Remove your bike from its packaging,
remove the protecve foam from the bike
frame, open the frame, and use the quick
release lever to fasten the frame joint.
Open the kickstand of the bike
and lean the bike against it.
Place the stem in the head tube and the
seat post in the seat tube. Set up both
components and fasten them at the
appropriate height.

The direcon and the height of the handlebar is adjusted by fastening and
unfastening the screw on the outside of the joint, between the handlebar and
the stem. Use a no. 6 hex key to unfasten the screw by rotang it an-clockwise.
Adjust the handlebar to the desired height and direct it perpendicularly to the
front wheel. When you adjust the height and the direcon, fasten the
handlebar by fastening the screw clockwise (torque 18 Nm).
The height of your seat is adjusted using a quick release lever posioned on the
joint between the seat post and the frame. In order to adjust the seat height,
unfasten the fastener lever and adjust the seat to the desired height. Once you
decide on the height, direct the seat towards the front and fasten the lever, so
that it fully clasps the bike frame.
In order to adjust the inclinaon and the posion of the seat, use a no. 6 hex
key. Unscrew the screw under the seat an-clockwise and adjust the seat to the
desired posion. Then, fasten the screw clockwise with a torque of 8 Nm.
The simple folding or disassembly of the bike frame is enabled by a quick
release system. Unfasten the quick release lever and fold the bike frame in half
on the right side. When assembling the bike to its operang posion, it is
important that the joint fits together suitably before you fasten the quick
release lever.
In order to adjust the handlebar inclinaon, use a no. 6 hex key. Place the key
on the screw that is fastened on the inside of the joint between the handlebar
and the stem. Rotate the key an-clockwise to unfasten the joint and change
the inclinaon of the handlebar. Once the handlebar is placed in the desired
posion, rotate the key clockwise and fasten the handlebar (torque 18 Nm).
In order to fasten and unfasten any key parts of your Pony bike, you
can use a no. 6 HEX key (this tool is enclosed with your purchased
bike) and by manually operating the quick release system.

The adjustment of the seat is an important factor
when achieving the most comfortable and
effecve use of the bike. Therefore, in order to
achieve opmum use, place your heel to the
lowest end of the pedal, so your leg is almost
completely stretched out. If, while pushing the
pedals, your hips are uneven (as a result of the
excessive stretching of your legs to reach the
pedals), the bike seat is too high. Once the seat
height has been properly adjusted, make sure that
the seat post does not exceed the mark indicang
the maximum seat height, and that your feet can
touch the ground.
When adjusng the posion of any of the bike parts, do not forget to properly fasten all screws, nuts, and fasteners.
Adjusting
the size and comfort
Warning!
A
The proper adjustment of the handlebar posion
is also an important factor in enabling the safe and
comfortable use of the bike, as it enables you to
comfortably and simply reach the shiers and the
brake levers. While using the bike, your weight
should be balanced, so that your arms may gently
rest on the handlebar. This will enable you to
restrict or prevent any pressure on your wrists and
forearms while pushing the pedals.
Your back and shoulders should be upright.
A
Your arms should rest on the handlebar
in a relaxed manner.
B
Head upright and view focused.
cYour grip should be gentle, as this will allow you
to properly use the brakes and shi the gears.
