SEARCHING FOR YOUR CODE
If your home entertainment device does not respond to the
Rogers remote after trying all of the codes listed for your
brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for
your code.
To search for a code for your TV:
1. Turn on your TV.
2. On the remote control, press TV once; it will
blink once. Press and hold SETUP until the TV
key blinks twice, then release SETUP.
3. Enter 9- 9- 1. The TV key will blink twice.
4. Aim the remote control toward the TV and
press PWR once.
5. Press CH+ repeatedly until the TV turns off.
NOTE: In search mode, the remote control will
send device codes from its library to the
selected device, starting with the most
popular code first.
You may have to press CH+ dozens of
times until the correct code is found.
6. Press SETUP once to lock in the code. The TV
key will blink twice.
Searching codes for other devices
Since the Rogers remote control is a universal remote, you
can program it for other components by repeating the steps
above and substituting the TV button with the respective
device button (DVD, AUD, etc.).
PROGRAMMING YOUR EQUIPMENT CODE
In addition to operating the digital box, the Rogers remote
is capable of controlling basic commands on your TV, VCR
and other components. To enable these features, the Rogers
remote must be programmed for your particular home
entertainment components.
First, obtain the device code(s) for your brand of TV. Device
codes for all of the common brands of TVs can be found at
_______________________________ (url).
Next, program the Rogers remote with the device code.
To program the Rogers Remote for your TV:
1. Turn on your TV.
2. On the remote control, press TV once; it will
blink once. Press and hold SETUP until the TV
button blinks twice, then release SETUP.
3. Enter the device code for your TV. The TV key
blinks twice.
4. Point the remote towards your TV and press
the PWR button. Your TV should turn off. If not,
repeat steps 2 and 3 trying each code for your
brand of TV until you find one that works. If
your TV doesn’t turn off after trying all TV
brand codes, try the code search steps on the
next page.
Programming codes for other devices
Since the Rogers remote control is a universal remote, you
can program it for other components by repeating the steps
above and substituting the TV button with the respective
device button (DVD, AUD, etc.).
