the

proper

operation

of

the

unit.

Additionally,

in

order

to

feel

assured

that

you

have

gained

a

good

grasp

of

every

feature

provided

by

your

new

unit,

this

manual

should

be

read

in

its

entirety.

The

manual

should

be

saved

and

kept

on

hand

as

a

convenient

reference.

Main

features

The

combination

of

noise

canceling

and

hum

canceling

effectively

reduces

unwanted

interference

such

as

the

noise

generated

by

instruments

and

lighting,

hum

in-

duced

by

power

supplies,

hum

picked

up

by

micro-

phones

and

guitars,

and

even

hiss

noise

from

cassette

tapes.

The

SN-700

is

a

powerfully

effective

tool

for

live

PA

productions

and

studio

recording.

Since

noise

canceling

divides

the

audible

spectrum

into

seven

bands

and

reduces

noise

in

the

way

most

suitable

for

each

band,

noise

can

be

effectively

eliminated

with

minimal

adverse

impact

on

the

program

material.

A

wide

variety

of

musical

sources

can

be

handled

by

adjusting

the

attack

and

release

settings.

Hum

canceling

is

performed

over

a

wide

bandwidth

(20

Hz

-

10

kHz)

to

eliminate

hum

with

minimal

effect

on

the

program

material,

The

automatic

frequency

detection

function

can

detect

the

frequency

of

hum

from

the

AC

power

supply

or

input

signal,

and

remove

the

hum

precisely.

The

Auto

function

provides

a

simple

procedure

which

automatically

makes

the

optimal

settings

for

noise

and

hum

removal.

high

S/N

ratio.

allowing

the

SN-700

to

be

used

on

main

program

of

a

PA/SR

jacks

a

variety

SN-700

is

equipped

with

a

memory

feature

that

allows

settings

geared

to

specific

situations

stored

later

Lock

function

used

prevent

accidental

supported,

allowing

the

SN-700

operated

an

external

MIDI

device.

Maintenance

For

everyday

cleaning

wipe

the

unit

with

a

soft,

cloth

wipe

the

unit

data

the

unit's

memory

be

lost

repairs.

Important

data

should

always

be

backed

up

in

another

MID!

device

(e.g.,

a

sequencer),

or

written

down

on

paper

(when

possible).

During

repairs,

due

care

is

taken

to

avoid

the

loss

of

data.

However,

in

certain

cases

(such

as

when

circuitry

memory

itself

is

out

of

order),

we

regret

that

it

may

not

be

possible

to

restore

the

data,

and

no

liability

concerning

such

Memory

Backup

This

unit

contains

a

battery

which

powers

the

unit’s

memory

circuits

while

the

main

power

is

off.

When

this

battery

becomes

weak,

the

message

shown

below

will

appear

in

the

display.

Once

you

see

this

message,

have

the

battery

replaced

with

a

fresh

one

as

soon

as

possible

to

avoid

the

loss

of

all

data

in

memory.

your

dealer,

removes
