RSE261 Dual Sonic Exciter
The RSE261 Dual Sonic Exciter is a two channel frequency compensation de-
vice desi ned to add life and animation to your sound. For recordin applica-
tions, the RSE261 is essential to perfect a final mixdown. DJs use the unit for
the incredible "thumpin " bottom end that is enhanced, as well as the crystal
clear hi h end. And the RSE261 is used by those in live sound reinforcement
situations to deliver the final touches for the ideal live mix.

WHAT IS A SONIC EXCITER?
The human ear can detect a frequency ran e of rou hly 20Hz to 20kHz. How-
ever, the frequency response that a normal speaker can effectively reproduce is
much, much less. Additionally, speakers add distortion and phase chan es that
make the sound quite different from that of the ori inal material.
A sonic exciter restores clarity and presence to the processed si nal by correct-
in phase chan es and harmonic structure differences. In other words, it puts
the components of the sound back where they belon .
All of this ma ic is done by the use of all-pass filterin , frequency compensated
ain adjustment, and compensated frequency domain delay. What this means
to you is the elements of your sound are fanned out like a deck of cards, makin
each sound more audible and distinct, reducin the need for hi h volume and
radical equalizer adjustment.
