Ele tromagneti Compatibility, Environment, et ).
• Your steam generator iron is an ele tri al applian e: it must be used under normal onditions of use. It is
designed for domesti use only.
• It is equipped with 2 safety systems:
- a pressure release valve designed to avoid ex essive pressure. In the event of malfun tion, the valve
releases ex ess steam.
- a thermal fuse to avoid overheating.
• Always plug your steam generator iron:
- into a mains ir uit with voltage between 220 V and 240 V (Alternating urrent only),
- a so ket outlet with ab earth onne tion.
Conne ting to the wrong voltage may ause irreparable damage to the applian e and will invalidate your
guarantee.
If you are using a mains extension lead, ensure that it is orre tly rated (16A) with an earth onne tion,
and is fully extended.
• Completely unwind the power ord before plugging into an earthed so ket outlet.
• The sole plate of your iron and the iron rest on the base unit an rea h extremely high temperatures, and
an ause burns: do not tou h them. Never tou h the ele tri al power ords with the sole plate of the
iron.
• Always use a vented/mesh ironing board and be areful of hot steam when roning lose to the edges of
the board.
• Your applian e emits steam, whi h an ause burns. Always handle the iron with are, espe ially when
ironing verti ally. Never dire t the steam towards people or animals.
• Never immerse your steam generator iron in water or any other liquid. Never pla e it under a running tap.
