Instructions
Thank you for purchasing your new Lounge 260 awning. By following the below instructions your awning will enable
you to experience many happy and enjoyable years of cara anning.
Parts Included:
Please ensure that all of the parts listed below are
present before attempting to erect your awning
• Flysheet
• 2 Steel front leg poles
• 1 Steel cur ed front pole
• 3 Steel roof poles
• 2 Storm straps
• Draft Skirt
• Tent pegs
Before you get started:
Select an area that is clear of debris, trees and rocks and that is as e en
as possible to erect your awning on.
Remo e your awning from it’s storage bag, taking note of how it was
originally packed – this will enable you to pack your awning away in a
similar manner at the end of your trip.
Erecting your Awning:
Start by sliding the awning beading into the channel on the cara an, ensuring that it is on the horizontal section. Insert the
cur ed front pole into the slee e on the front of the awning (Fig 1). Then attach the front two legs to the cur ed front pole,
inserting the pins on the base of the awning into the poles (Fig 2). The pin is on an adjustable strap that can be loosened and
then re-tightened once the pin has been inserted.
Once this has been done insert the centre roof pole with the black stopper resting against the side nearest you cara an, you
can subsequently insert the other two roof support poles on either side of the central one. Once this step has been completed
you can insert the two back legs; inserting the pin into the ground.
Once all poles ha e been inserted you can then peg down your awning, adjusting the guy lines as necessary.
Note: When inserting your pegs always ensure that they are set at a 5°
°°
°angle away from your awning (Figure 3). Always use
a mallet to insert your pegs to avoid bent pegs and injury

Dismantling your awning:
Ensuring your awning is always clean, dry and packed away
in a suitable manner will impro e the lifespan and durability
of your awning.
Check that all windows are zipped up; you can then start to
un-peg your awning, making sure to tie up guy ropes and
keep pegs in a safe place.
Carefully remo e the poles from their base pins; you can
then begin to remo e the poles.
Package poles back into their pole bag and carefully roll your
awning. You can now pack this into the awning bag.
Your Warranty:
Your new Royal awning is manufactured to the highest standard and is co ered by a 1-year warranty from the point of
purchase.
This warranty co ers any manufacturing fault in the fabric, parts or workmanship of our awnings when the product has
been used for its intended purpose as specified in the literature on our website.
It does not co er any malfunctions of fabric or components that ha e occurred from improper use, poles, accidents,
excessi e wind or weather, incorrect packing or fading due to sunlight. Please be mindful that your product will be
subjected to some sort of ‘wear and tear’ with the conditions experienced outdoors and the continual packing and un-
packing of products.
Please note that your warranty is co ered by the retailer you purchased your awning from and not Royal directly. Any
warranty queries must be directed to the retailer where you made you purchase in the first instance.
Making your awning last:
Exposure to the elements can reduce the waterproofing of
your awning but if you follow these points then you should
be able to extend the life span of your awning.
Clean and dry the awning as thoroughly and as soon as
possible after use. Using a product such as Fabsil Uni ersal
Cleaner will enable easier cleaning and contains a mildew
inhibitor. Erect and inspect the awning before use, this
allows you to disco er any damage or wear before you are
in the middle of a camping site and repair it.
Always ensure that your awning is dry when you pack it
away and store in a dry place. This allows you to a oid
mildew/rotting.
Pitch your awning in a shady area where possible, this will
allow you to a oid continued exposure to UV rays, which
can weaken the fabric of your awning .
