Intended use
Description
The ST-73.1 is for foaming suitable foaming agents. The ST-73.1 foam lance is
ttedwithaninterchangeableinjectornozzleandafoamingpad.Byturningan
adjustablegriphandletheconcentrationoffoamingagentinthewatercanbe
adjusted.
Availableareanoptional1-litreintakecontainer(ProductCode020073513)
or2-litreintakecontainer(ProductCode020073520).
 ▪ Toguaranteesafeoperationtheinjectorunitmayonlybe
usedinaccordancewiththeseOperatingInstructions.
 ▪ KeeptheseOperatingInstructionsinasafeplaceforlater
reference.
 ▪ Pleasealsoobservethesafetyinstructionsforthedetergent
andifapplicableofthehighpressurecleanermanufacturer.
 ▪ Donotmixdetergentsonewiththeother.
 ▪ Wearsuitableprotectiveclothingandgloveswhenworking.
 ▪ Neverdirectthehigh-pressurejetatpersonsorotherlivingcreatures.
 ▪ Readthesafetydatasheetsandobservethecorrespondingsafetyandhandlingregulations.
 ▪ TheST-73.1foamlanceisusedforadmixingfoamingagenttowater,subsequentfoamingandthenfoam
application.
 ▪ OnlyPressureEquipmentDirective(PED)Group2liquidsmaybeusedasmedia.Incaseofdoubtcontactthe
equipmentmanufacturer.
 ▪ The housing of the ST-73.1 was made of PP-GF40, the ST-73.1 is not suitable for forming with strong
acids (pH-value <4), for example formic acid, hydrofl uoric acid etc.
 ▪ Theunitmayonlybeusedwithasuitablepressuregenerator.
 ▪ Theunitisnotdesignedforusewithpersons(childrenincluded)withrestrictedsensoryandmentalcapabilitiesdue
tolackofexperienceand/orlackofknowledgeunlesstheyaresupervisedbyapersonresponsiblefortheirsafety
oriftheyhavereceivedinstructionfromthatpersoninuseoftheequipment.
 ▪ Ingeneralchildrenareforbiddentousethisequipment.
Flush the foam lance internally and externally with clear water after use. Otherwise there is the risk that that
substances adhering accumulate and adversely affect proper functioning of the foam lance.

Operation
Byturningtheadjustablegriponthehandlethequantityoffoamingagentconcen-
tratecanbeadjusted.IntotaltheST-73.1hasvedetentstagesforxedpositioning
thedosagesettingandthesearegentlynoticeableonturningtheadjustablegrip.

Cleaning / changing lter pad
1. Loosenthelockingscrew(3)withacross-headscrewdriver.
2. ScrewacomponentwithaG¼externalthread,e.g.ashorttube,intothe
injectorunit(1).
3. WithdrawtheinjectorunitslowlyfromtheST-73.1foamlance(4).
4. Fromtheinjectorunit(1),removethefoampad(2).
5. Rinsethelterpadunderclearrunningwaterandifthelterpad(2)isdamaged
replaceit(ProductCode:54050009).
6. Checktosee,beforereassemblingthefoamlance,whetherallO-ringson
theinjectorunitareinserviceableconditionandreplacetheseifnecessary
(dealer’spartslist).
7. Nowreassembleinreverseorder.
TheatsteelnozzleattheST-73.1foamlancecanberotatedtoanyposition.
Forthisyouonlyhavetoturnthenozzleguardinthedesireddirection.

Ifthefoampatternisnotasdesired,amongstotherthingsthecausemayliewiththelterpadorinjectornozzle.Ifthisisthecase
carryoutthefollowingremedialsteps:
Cleaning / changing injector nozzle
1. Unscrewtheinjectornozzle(1)fromtheST-73.1foamlance(2)
2. Checktoseewhethertheinjectornozzle(1)isonlylightlysoiled,inwhichcase
carefulcleaningbyinsertingasuitablepieceofwireorthelikewillfrequently
solvetheproblem.Notethecorrespondingboreoftheinjectornozzle(1)here!
Otherwisethiscangetdamaged.Itisalsorecommendedtorinsetheinjector
nozzlecleanunderrunningwaterandthenozzleitselfshouldbealignedwiththe
directionofthewaterthroughput.
3. Intheeventofhighsoilingand/ordirtoftentheonlyremedyistoexchangethe
injectornozzle(1)(dealer’spartslist).
4. Checktosee,beforereassemblingthefoamlance,whetherallO-ringsonthe
injectorunitareinserviceableconditionandreplacetheseifnecessary(dealer’s
partslist).
