Instrument: Starrsed ST Revision: 001, 2019
1. Open the back door panel of the instrument
2. Insert the RS232 cable in the back-panel board (leave the cable from the bar-code reader in its
respective place)
3. Start the auto ID navigator software.
4. Select the BL-180 barcode reader.

5. Click on the BL-180 in the left column
6. Select the spanner in the top left corner
7. Select the right COM port.

8. Connect with the barcode reader
9. Load the settings from the bar-code reader wit the button in the top right corner.
10. Select the types of barcodes that are used.

11. Change HEX to 7C.
12. Place a sample tube on the needle unit wit the bar-code faced to the reader.
13. Go to the test mode and start the test.

14. Adjust the barcode reader mechanically via these screws until the bar-code reader reads the bar-code
90% or higher.
15. When this is succeeded end the test.
16. Go back to terminal and param
17. Upload the new settings to the barcode reader with the button in the top right corner. Press OK in the
popup screen.
18. When this is done. Remove the RS232 cable from the back-panel board and close the door.
19. Run a few samples to see if it works correctly.
