1 Position speakers
For best stereo reproduction, place left and right
speakers no less than 60cm (24in) apart with
the speaker with volume control on the right.
Avoid having objects in front of the speakers and
also ensure the underside of each speaker is
unobstructed.
2 Connect speakers together
Connect the two speakers with the interconnect
cable (5), inserting one end into the output (13) on the
right speaker and the other end into the input socket
on the left speaker.
3 Connect to AC power
Connect the AC power cord (4) into the power
adapter (3). Connect the power adaptor lead (3) to
the DC power socket (14) and then insert the mains
plug on the AC power cord (4) into a mains outlet.
CAUTION: do not plug the AC power cord into the
mains until all other connections are made.
4 Turn on your speakers
When you connect the speakers to mains power
they will power up in standby mode. To turn them on,
press the control knob (8) on the right speaker or the
standby button (18) on the remote; the source status
indicator (9) glows solid amber showing that Line-in
audio input is selected.
5Adjust volume
Turn the volume control knob (8) clockwise to
increase the volume, anticlockwise to decrease it or
use the volume buttons (21) on the remote. When you
reach the maximum or minimum volume, the status
indicator (9) goes off temporarily.
6 Standby
Press and release (short press) the control knob (8)or
press the standby button (18) on the remote.

7
1 Connect your device
To connect you will need a lead with a 3.5mm
stereo jack on one end to connect to the Line-in
input socket (16) and an appropriate connector on
the other to connect to the Line-out or headphone
output of the device you wish to connect, MP3/CD
Player, Laptop or TV etc.
2 Select Line-in audio input
When the status indicator (9) is amber, the audio
input is set to Line-in.
If the status indicator (9) is blue the speakers are in
Bluetooth mode, in which case press and hold the
control knob (8) or press the Line-in button (20) on
the remote control to change to Bluetooth mode.
If the status indicator (9) is off, the speakers are in
standby, in which case press the control knob (8), or
press the Line-in button (20) on the remote control to
turn them on.
3 Start music play on your device
Adjusting input level
Unless you experience audio distortion, we recommend
you keep the output volume on your device near
maximum and the input level switch (17) set to LOW.
Some computer headphone or audio outputs may have
high signal levels. If the sound is distorted, turn down
the volume level on the device.
Other audio devices, such as CD/DVD/Blu-ray players,
may also have high output signals but without the ability
to adjust the output volume. In this case, slide the input
level select switch (17) to HIGH to attenuate the signal
and prevent distortion.

8 Positioning your speakers 9 Status indicator light
As with all high-delity speakers, positioning and
room acoustics will inuence the quality of audio
reproduction, so we encourage you to experiment
when setting up to ensure best performance of your
MR1 system.
Speaker placement guide
Your MR1 speakers sound best when you and the
speakers form a triangle with you slightly further away
from the speakers than the distance between them.
For optimum performance, position speakers at least
60 cm apart; facing slightly inwards. Speakers should
be placed on a sturdy desk, shelf, or tabletop and not
directly on the oor.
Placing the speakers close to a wall will reinforce the
bass response while corners should be avoided as this
can result in a confused sound. Likewise, the room
where your MR1s are being used will sound better
with some soft furnishings. These will help to absorb
standings so that you can hear the true clarity of your
MR1s.
Connecting a sub-woofer
To further enhance the bass you can connect a sub-
woofer to the sub-woofer output (15).
For further information please visit our website.
The status indicator (9) on top of the right speaker
indicates the following:
amber solid: Line-in mode
blue solid: Bluetooth mode
blue flashes every second: discoverable in Bluetooth
flashes every 10 seconds: auto standby mode

11
10 Troubleshooting
Problem What to do
No sound Make sure your speakers are turned on, the mains adapter is plugged into the mains and the
status indicator (9) is illuminated.
Make sure the volume is not set to minimum or muted via remote control. Check that you have
selected the correct audio source (Line-in or Bluetooth).
Make sure your audio device is operating properly and the volume control turned up.
If listening through Bluetooth, the audio output on your device must be set to Bluetooth with the
volume turned up.
Distorted sound Turn the volume down.
Turn the volume down on your audio device (laptop, phone etc.) or set input level (17) on the back
of the right speaker to HI.
Distorted sound after long
periods of inactivity
The auto standby feature of your MR1s is designed to turn back on the instant an audio signal is
detected, but it is possible that the rst few milliseconds may be slightly distorted. In practice this
is rarely detectable but disabling auto-standby function will ensure this doesn’t happen.
Remote does not work Make sure there is nothing obstructing the right speaker grille and point the remote towards the
front of the right speaker.
Change the battery in the remote.
No sound from one speaker Check the interconnect cable (13) is rmly inserted into the sockets on both speakers.
Check the balance on your audio device.
Bluetooth device won’t
connect
Move the device closer (typical range 10m, 30ft).
Refer to your Bluetooth device’s user manual.
Intermittent Bluetooth audio If you’re having dropouts in the audio try moving your audio device closer to the speakers.
Bluetooth performance on some audio devices can be affected by Wi-Fi, so try turning the Wi-Fi
function on your audio device off when streaming over Bluetooth.

4 Opsætning
1 Placering af højttalere
For den bedste stereogengivelse skal venstre og
højre højttaler placeres ikke mindre end 60cm fra
hinanden med lydstyrkekontrollen til højre. Undgå
objekter foran højttalerne og sørg ligeledes for, at
(3). Tilslut strømadapterledningen (3) til
jævnstrømstikket (14) og sæt strømstikket på
vekselsstrømsledningen (4) i en stikkontakt.
FORSIGTIG: vekselsstrømsledningen må ikke sættes
i stikkontakten, før alle andre forbindelser er udført.
4 Tænd for højttalerne
Når du tilslutter højttalerne til netforsyningen,
vil de tænde i standbymode. De tændes ved at
trykke på kontrolknappen (8) på den højre højttaler
eller på standbyknappen (18) på fjernbetjeningen;
Kildestatusindikatoren (9) gløder helt gul, hvilket
viser, at Line in-lydindgang er valgt.
5Lydstyrkejustering

etc.
2 Vælg Line in-lydindgang
Når statusindikatoren (9) er gul, er lydindgangen
indstillet på Line in.
have høje signalniveauer. Hvis lyden forvrænges, skal
lydstyrken på anordningen sænkes.
Andre lydenheder, som f.eks. CD/DVD/Blu-ray-
afspillere, kan også have høje udgangsignaler, men
ingen mulighed for at justere udgangslydstyrken.

nødvendig for at forhindre, at uønskede anordninger
gul. Aktivér Bluetooth-mode ved at trykke og holde
ned på kontrolknappen (8) i 2 sekunder (langt tryk)
eller ved at trykke på Bluetooth-knappen (22) på
fjernbetjeningen.
vist i anordningslisten.
●Sammenkoblingen vil udløbe efter 10 minutter og
MR1-højttalerne vil gå i standby.
