2 Basic Technical Data
2.1 The operating range of supply voltage of IOCM43 from the ACL is (24 –36) V. IOCM43 current consumption
from the ACL in the indicated voltage range is 0.2 mA, max.
2.2 IOCM43 interference protection is adjustable in the range from 0 to 1.9 s.
2.3 Individual current consumption of IOCM43 from external power supply sources when ALs are not con-
nected:
–35 mA, max at Usup = (11.5 –14) V
–25 mA, max at Usup = (20 –28) V
2.4 Connection of each AL increases consumption current from external power supply sources:
–increase in standby mode - by 10 mA, max at Usup = 12 V, and by 5 mA, max at Usup = 24 V;
–increase in "Pre-alarm" mode - by 30 mA, max at Usup = 12 V, and by 15 mA, max at Usup = 24 V;
–increase in "Fire" mode - by 60 mA, max at Usup = 12 V, and by 30 mA, max at Usup = 24 V.
Activation of any AL in technological mode increases consumption current of IOCM34 by 30 mA, max at
Usup = 12 V, and by 15 mA, max at Usup = 24 V.
2.5 Maximum length of AL communication lines between IOCM43 and “dry contact”output devices –
100 m.
2.6 Current commutated by electronic keys –0.5 A, max.
The current of circuit integrity monitoring in disabled state –reverse polarity, 1.2 mA, max.
2.7 Currents commutated by “dry contact”relay terminals:
–DC up to 30 V –3 A, max;
–AC up to 250 V –3 A, max.
2.8 The current provided by IOCM43 for powering each AL in standby mode –3 mA, max.
2.9 IOCM43 enables the possibility to setup four fire alarm loops for connection of non-addressable smoke
and heat detectors, manual call points, beam-type smoke detectors with dual actuation control and safe reset
function.
2.10 Optical indicators are provided for IOCM43 status information. Indication modes are listed in Table 1.
2.11 Maximum number of detectors connected to each AL:
–with consumption current in standby mode 0.1mA, max –30 pcs,
–with consumption current in standby mode more than 0.1mA –calculated by the formula, given in Section
3 of this Operation Manual.
2.12 Protection rating provided by IOCM43 enclosure according to IEC 60529 –IP20.
2.13 Dimensions (H x W x D) –(108 ×170 ×42) mm, max.
2.14 Weight –250 g, max.
2.15 Average service life –10 years.
2.16 Mean time between failures - at least 60 000 hours.
3 Design and Principle of Operation
3.1 IOCM43 is manufactured in a plastic enclosure. The enclosure consists of two parts –the base and the
cover (see Figure 1). Electronic components are located on the printed circuit board and placed within the enclo-
sure.
3.2 IOCM43 cover has special holes for on-board indicators. The label with the manufacturer’s logo, prod-
uct name and transparent windows for indicators is attached to the front surface of the cover (see Figure 1).
3.3 Mounting holes (see Figure 1) in the base are accessible with the cover removed.
3.4 TEST/tamper button is used to test the operability of communication channel between IOCM43 and the
Device, to determine IOCM43 address (see Section 5), and is also a tamper sensor.
3.5 Screw terminal blocks ensure reliable connection of wires with a cross-section of 0.35 to 1.5 mm2.
