Rumble Tuff ® Fast Digital Thermometer

The prompt and reliable way to obtain body temperature.
Rumble Tuff® Fast Digital Thermometer gives you fast accurate readings in just minutes. It is easy to use,easy to read,
and ideal for the whole family.
How to Use:
1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer on. The window will display all symbols and a beep
sound will be heard. This indicates the unit is working.
2. The last measured temperature will display for approximately two seconds, then L°C/L°F will display if the ambient
temperature is below 32°C/90°F.
3. Three ways to measure body temperature:
a. Oral
i. Put the temperature probe beneath the tongue.
ii. Close your mouth and hold the thermometer there until ten beeps are heard (approximately one minute).
iii. Read temperature.
iv. If ten triple-beeps are heard, that indicates an elevated temperature. We strongly suggest that you retake the
temperature several times to verify. If multiple readings indicate a fever, record the highest reading.
v. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer off.
b. Underarm or Auxiliary
i. Wipe armpit dry with a dry towel.
ii. Place probe in the armpit, lower arm, and fold arm over the chest, securely covering the sensor under the arm.
iii. Hold the thermometer firmly. After approximately one minute, ten beeps will be heard. Ignore the beeps and
keep thermometer in place for three additional minutes. If the thermometer has turned off (after ten minutes),
just press the on/off button again. The Fast Digital Thermometer has a memory recall when it is turned on and
will display the last reading for approximately two seconds.
iv. Read temperature.
v. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer off.
c. Rectal
i. Lubricate the tip of the thermometer probe with a water-soluble jelly; such as K-Y® jelly. Do not use petroleum

jelly.
ii. The child should lie on his/her side with the knees slightly bent. Babies should be placed on their stomach with
their legs hanging down in an L-shape. These positions ensure safe insertion of the thermometer.
iii. With one hand, separate the buttocks. With the other hand, gently glide only the silver tip of the thermometer
probe into the rectum. DO NOT INSERT MORE THAN 1/2 INCH. If there is any resistance, stop insertion.
iv. Hold the thermometer in place until ten beeps are heard (approximately one minute). If ten triple-beeps are
heard, that indicates an elevated temperature. We strongly suggest that you retake the temperature several
times to verify. If multiple readings indicate a fever, record the highest reading.
v. Remove thermometer from rectum.
vi. Read temperature.
vii. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer off.
viii. Clean and sanitize the probe thoroughly.
ix. Once used rectally, the thermometer should never be used orally for sanitary reasons.
How to Replace the Battery:
1. The battery symbol ( ) will show in the bottom right corner of the display window when the battery needs to be
replaced.
2. Remove the battery cover (see diagram A).
3. Use a toothpick or insulated probe to remove the battery (see diagram B).
4. Insert the new battery. Make sure the battery is replaced correctly. The battery should be inserted with the (+)
positive side facing up and the (-) negative side facing down.
5. Replace the battery cover. Make sure it is fastened securely.

Warning/Caution:
●ORAL - never use the thermometer orally after it has been used rectally for sanitary reasons.
●UNDERARM or AUXILIARY - keep in place for four minutes and ignore the beeps.
●RECTALLY - never use the thermometer orally after it has been used rectally for sanitary reasons.
●RECTALLY - never insert probe more than 1/2 inch into rectum. If there is any resistance, stop insertion.
●RECTALLY - clean and sanitize the probe thoroughly after each use.
●Store your Rumble Tuff Fast Digital Thermometer in the provided storage case in a cool, dry place away from children.
Use only with adult supervision. Do not allow children to play with, bite or hit the thermometer, or remove the battery
cover.
●If the button battery is accidentally ingested, immediately consult a doctor. Swallowing a button battery may be fatal.
●Do not attempt to recharge the battery. Do not dispose of the battery in or near a fire as it may explode.
●The thermometer will automatically turn off after ten minutes.
●Clean the thermometer before and after each use with soap and warm water or with 70% isopropyl alcohol. It is

recommended that you wash the silver metal tip and 2" (approx 5 cm) of the probe. Dry unit completely before placing
in the storage case.
●Avoid exposing the thermometer to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or dirt.
●Do not bend the probe more than 45°.
Specifications:
Battery: 1.55 VDC (LR41/SR41). Battery life has more than 200 operating hours, approximately 2 years if used for 10
minutes per day. Power consumption 0.2mW.
Display Unit: 0.1°C/0.1°F.
Accuracy: ±0.1°C/±0.2°F between 35°C~38°C/95°F~100.4°F. Accuracy ±0.2°C/±0.4°F for remainder of measuring range
at a room temperature of 22°C/71.6°F.
Measuring Range: The Fast Digital Thermometer has a measuring range of 32°C~42.9°C/90.0°F~109.9°F. Any
temperature that is less than 32°C/90°F, the display will indicate Lo°C/Lo°F. Any temperature more than 42.9°C/109.9°F,
the display will indicate Hi°C/Hi°F.

Rumble Tuff ® Fever-Care Sticker Thermometer

48 Hour Non-Stop Fever Monitoring
The Fever-Care Thermometer easily monitors overall skin temperature changes in a non-intrusive way.
It is effective, easy to read, comfortable, simple to use, and reusable. You can get your first reading in less than a minute. It
is great for the whole family to use.
How to Use:
1. Wash the exposed skin you want to monitor and pat dry.
2. Remove Fever-Care Sticker from its safety backing. Remember to keep the backing; your Fever-Care
Thermometer is reusable!
3. Apply Fever-Care Sticker to any exposed skin; i.e., forehead, chest, or alongside the armpit.
4. The letter "N" indicates 96° or no fever. The temperature numbers 98° to 104° should be clearly visible in shades of
green, which indicates a fever. Pay attention to any color changes; purple or dark blue colors mean above the
indicated temperature, red or black colors mean below the indicated temperature.
5. When finished monitoring your child's temperature; remove Fever-Care Sticker, and re-apply the safety backing for
storage.
Warning/Caution:
●The Fever-Care Sticker uses 3M® hypoallergenic, medical grade adhesive. It is safe to use continuously for up to 48
hours. However, if redness or irritation occur, discontinue use and monitor temperature with a traditional thermometer.
●Do not expose to extreme heat or cold. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Store your Fever-Care Sticker Thermometer in
a cool, dry place away from children. Use only with adult supervision.
The Fever-Care Sticker Thermometer is not a toy. If swallowed, consult a doctor.
●Do not use outdoors or while sunbathing. Other factors (room temperature, where you place the Fever-Care Sticker,
and physical activities, etc.) can affect skin temperature and give an inaccurate reading.
●To ensure an accurate reading, keep the fever indicator windows free from any blockage.
●Clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not soak. Do not clean with alcohol.
●Dispose of Fever-Care Sticker Thermometer after any visible wear or damage.
