Installation
Flat Mount
Secure the HVR to the surface with self-tapping
screws or rivets.
Ensure that the front panel of the HVR
remains accessible and there is a minimum
2.5 inches of clearance for cables.. Do not
install the HVR in an area of the vehicle cabin
that could interfere with the safe operation
of the vehicle.
Security Cover
After connecting all needed cables to the
rear of the HVR as shown in the Main Wiring
Diagram, secure the Security Cover with the
included Phillips head screws as shown in the
diagram.

Hard Drive Removal
To remove the hard drive from the HVR:
1. Ensure the HVR is powered o.
2. Insert the key into the hard drive
lock and turn it counter-clockwise.
3. Turn the two hard drive thumb
screws counter-clockwise until
they are loose.
4. Pull the hard drive rmly and
straight out.
Mirror SD Card Removal/
Insertion
The SD card access door is secured by
the hard drive and can only be opened
when the hard drive is removed.
Do not force the SD card into the slot
upside down or backwards.
Ensure the SD card’s write protection
slider is in the “unlocked” position.
Do not remove the SD card until the
HVR is turned o.
1. Open the SD card slot door from
the left edge.
2. Insert an SD card into the SD card
slot label-side up, with the notch to
the right, until it clicks in place.
To remove the SD card, press the SD
card as far as it will go in the slot, then
allow it to “spring” out.
3. Close the SD card slot door.
To reinsert a hard drive:
1. Push the hard drive rmly all the
way into the HVR.
2. Turn the two hard drive thumb
screws clockwise until they are
secure.
Do not over-tighten the thumb
screws. Use nger pressure only!
3. Insert the key into the hard drive
lock and turn it clockwise.

STATUS LEDS
HDD Flashes when HDD is being accessed
SD Flashes when SD card is being accessed
GPS Solid - GPS searching for signal/Flashing - GPS has locked on
NET HVR is connected to a Foresight PRO server
HTR Internal heater is active
Power HVR is receiving power
REC HVR is recording video
VLoss One or more cameras is detached or malfunctioning
ALM Event/alarm has occured
ERR Storage Error - corrupted driver or unformatted drive
Components
1 - Removable Hard Drive - The hard disk drive (HDD)
provides the main storage for recorded data. Do not over-tighten
the thumb screws.
2 - Mirror SD Card Slot - Insert an SD card into the slot until
it clicks. To remove the SD card, briey press it in until it ejects.
3 - USB Port - Insert a USB ash drive to download events
quickly without having to remove the SD card or hard drive, or
upload rmware updates. A USB mouse may also be attached to
navigate menus in collaboration with an external monitor.
4 - Status LEDs - The Status LEDs illuminate to display the
current status of the HVR. See chart at left.
5 - IR Receiver - Receives signals from the included remote
control for conguration.
6 - Hard Drive Lock - The Hard Drive Lock secures both the
hard drive and the SD card slot for security. See the procedure
for removing the hard drive and SD card on page 4.
7 - External Monitor Output - Attach an external monitor
here to view live camera views and the conguration menus.

1 - GPS Antenna Port - Connection for the external antenna for the internal GPS module.
2 - WiFi Antenna Port - Connection to an external antenna for the internal WiFi module.
3 - Debugging Port - Connection for debugging and development (Service Technician use only).
4 - AV Port(s) - Connection for the main camera wiring harness.
5 - Serial Port - Connection for the sensor block wiring harness.
6 - USB Port - Connection for optional USB accessories.
7 - LAN Port (RJ45) - Connection for optional network accessories.
8 - Panel Port - Connection for optional control panel.
9 - Amplier Port - Connection for optional microphone device (in development).
10 - DC6~36V Port - Connection for the main power harness.
