Don’t push the lter element,
but turn it to avoid breakages
and ensure tight fastening.

6Assembling the Sa Table Top

For both lters do the following:
Remove the lter nut (G) from the
Sa lter element (E).
Screw the Sa lter element (E) with the
rubber ring (F) and the lter nut (G) onto
the upper bucket (B) and lower lid (C).
Make sure the rubber ring (F) is between the
lter element (E) and the bottom of the bucket.

The rst 60 liters (3 full buckets) of ltered
water have to be thrown away.
Your Sa table top water lter is now
ready for use again. C

Unscrew both tap nuts (H + I). Leave the rubber
ring (K) on the tap (L).

Place the upper bucket with the
lid of the lower bucket and Sa lter
elements onto the lower bucket.

Do for both lters the following:
Screw the Sa lter element (E) with
the rubber ring (F) and the lter nut (G)
onto the upper bucket (B) and lower lid (C).
Make sure the rubber ring (F) is between
the lter element (E) and the bottom of
the bucket.
Place the upper bucket with the
lid of the lower bucket and Sa lter
element onto the lower bucket.

Screw the tap with rubber ring (L+K)
through the hole on the side of the
lower bucket (D). Fasten the tap
tightly by using the tap nuts (H+I)
and the second rubber ring (J).

Replacing the lter elements
Place the upper lid (A).

For both lters:
Unscrew the lter nut (G).
Take a new lter element out of the box.
Remove the lter nut (G) from the
Sa lter element (E).
Take out the ceramic candles carefully. The rst 60 liters (3 full buckets) of ltered
water have to be thrown away.
Place the lter at a safe, convenient place
in your house. Make sure children won’t play
with the lter and handle it carefully,
otherwise the lter might break.
Your Sa Table Top water lter is now ready
for use.

How does it work?
Maintenance
Pour the water to be
treated into the top
container. The lters take
3 -5 hours to clean one
whole bucket of water.
Safe water is stored in
the bottom container.
Water is safe to drink
from the tap.
Wash the lter elements (E)
regularly with a cloth or
toothbrush. Do not use soap!
After some time, the ow rate reduces.
Take the lter cleaning pad (M) and
carefully scrub the lter elements to
remove a very small layer of the
ceramic material.

When do the lter elements need replacement?
After an average of 14000 liters, and/or when the ow rate
after long-term usage remains low, even after scrubbing.*
*The safety of the water is always ensured, even with a
low ow rate.
When the ceramic lter needs replacement, a genuine, new SAFI lter
may be purchased and tted into the tabletop.

If the water to be treated is very muddy, it should be left to settle overnight
and the water decanted into the lter.
