DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT UNDER ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
1. IF YOU GET ANY PELVIC, EXTREMITY, BACK, OR OTHER KINDS OF PAIN FROM USING THE CHAIR (OTHER THAN NORMAL
MUSCLE SORENESS) AND THE PAIN DOES NOT PASS IN A FEW DAYS.
2. IF YOUR SENSE OF BALANCE OR MUSCLE CONTROL IS ABNORMAL OR IMPAIRED FOR ANY REASON.
3. IF YOU USE MEDICATION OR DRUGS THAT INTERFERE WITH YOUR SENSE OF BALANCE OR MUSCLE CONTROL.

dealers, and the gas cylinder can be changed by Salli facility or an authorized dealer.

INCLINATION ADJUSTMENT
(Check the models from previous picture)
1) Hold onto the chair with your hand and release the inclination mechanism by
lifting up on the lever (Picture).
In the best inclination position you do not feel like sliding forward or backward,
and sitting causes no pressure.
2) When the angle feels right, release the lever to lock the mechanism.
Picture 1 Picture 2
WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
1. Stand behind the chair. Release the seat
width adjustment mechanism by hitting the
lever briskly with your palm (Picture 1).
2. Move the seat parts into the desired position
by sliding them together or apart (Picture 2).
3. Lock the mechanism by snapping the lever
from right to left. You may need to repeat the
procedure few times at the beginning, to nd
the optimal adjustment for you.
SEAT WIDTH ADJUSTMENT PRINCIPLES
Optimal seat width adjustment varies with the user’s individual physiology. We recommend keeping the middle
gap as wide as comfortably possible. The wider the gap, the less pressure to the sensitive ducts under the pelvic
oor.
We recommend that you try the inclination and width
adjustments several times in different combinations to nd
the optimal adjustments for you.
CARE AND CLEANING OF SALLI
LEATHER SEAT
The leather will stay clean longer if you wipe it every now and
then with a moist cloth.
Remove stains immediately. Wipe lightly with a cloth or paper
towel moistened with a mild soap and water solution.
You can also clean the seat with products made for leather furni-
ture or riding equipment.
Note that bleeding textiles may colour light-coloured leather.
Marks on the leather and slight colour variations are natural to
genuine leather and do not affect the durability of the product.
POLYURETHANE
Can be cleaned by wiping with disinfectant.
ARTIFICIAL LEATHER
Wipe the stains with mild soap and water. Let dry or blow dry. If
you use a solution containing alcohol, test it rst under the seat.
ESD-FABRIC
Fabric is made of wool and should be chemically cleaned if total
cleaning is necessary.
GAS CYLINDER CARE AND
LUBRICATION
If the gas cylinder becomes slow or stiff, spray a light
coating of lubricant onto the thinner end of the gas
cylinder.
If a castor stem remains caught in the base, grip
the stem with pliers and pull.
You may need to tap the pliers with a hammer
until the stem comes loose.
If your castors get stiff, replace them all.
Please notify that you should select the castors
tting best to the used surface of the oor.
CASTOR
REPLACEMENT
1. Turn the chair side-
ways.
2. If you have strong
hands, you can remove
the castors by pulling.
Otherwise you may
need a lever, for
example, a chisel or a
screwdriver which you
place between the cas-
tor and the base.
3. Push the new castors
into place.
WEIGHT TOLERANCE
The recommended maximum weight for a Salli user is
120 kg (264 lbs), Salli Strong 150 kg (330 lbs).

MAINTENANCE, RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL
The Salli Saddle Chair is designed for indoor use at normal room temperatures in a dry environment. For humid envi-
ronments we recommend the rustproof Salli Stainless, as a normal gas cylinder will corrode if exposed to moisture.
DISASSEMBLING SALLI
You should use special tools for disassembling Salli. You can borrow the tools from your Salli dealer.
SALLI AND ERGONOMICS
Your sitting-related ailments have taken years or even decades to develop. The new ergonomics will start the positive
change in your body immediately, but the deeper and wider impacts take time. For example, correcting your posture
will take years. However, you will notice the rst positive effects already after two weeks.
SITTING DOWN ON SALLI
Before you sit down, make sure that the chair is not too high for you. The chair
should be lower than your pelvis. If the chair is too high, lift up the lever and at the
same time press down hard on the seat by your elbow or stomach. Once the seat is
at the correct height, release the lever.
Stand beside the chair and lift one foot up over the back of the chair to the other side
(Picture) and sit down. You may want to hold onto the chair with your hand while
sitting down. This way the chair will not roll away from you and you will nd the right
sitting position easily.
WARNING!
Do not sit down on the chair the traditional way, i.e. from in front
of the chair with your buttocks foremost. The chair might slide
away and you might fall. You will also end up in the wrong sitting
position on the front edge of the chair.
Make sure that you don’t accidentally move the chair away
when you lift your foot over it.
Salli Saddle Chairs are higher than traditional chairs.
EN
REMOVING THE SEAT
1. Set the gas cylinder in its longest position.
2. Turn the chair upside-down.
3. Place the semicircular tube of the disassembling tool at the junction of the gas
cylinder and the seat, so that the wedge-shaped end points towards the base.
4. Lift the chair a little off the oor. This is easier if another person holds the chair
up for you.
5. Hold the tool handle in position and hit the cantilever with a hammer until the
seat separates from the gas cylinder.
REMOVING THE BASE
1. Ask someone to hold the chair up for you, seat downwards.
2. Position the disassembly bar tool at the bottom of the gas cylinder.
3. Hold the the tool in position and hit the free end with a hammer a few times,
until the cylinder separates from the base.
To properly dispose of a Salli:
1. Remove the leather from the seat and discard.
2. Remove plastic and foam parts, including padding,
control lever handle(s) and the mechanism’s
plastic parts, plastic castor components (the metal
stem of the castor can be removed e.g. in bench
vice with a hammer and a chisel). Dispose of plas-
tic components in an appropriate way with other
plastic garbage.
3. Recycle metal chair parts.
ACCESSORIES

purposes are available for Salli

CORRECT SITTING POSITION AND SEAT HEIGHT
In the optimal sitting position the angle between your thighs and upper body is about 135
degrees and your heels are positioned almost directly under your hip joints. In this position
your pelvis will tilt forward so that your lower back forms a natural curve, and your upper back
will straighten. Legs should be relaxed, not hanging in the air, and feet should rest on the oor.
Thighs should be relaxed against the chair, forming a 90 degree angle relative to each other.
On the average, on a saddle chair one sits about 25–40 cm (10”–16”) higher than customary. To
nd your optimal sitting position and seat height, do the fol-
lowing: Raise the seat so high that your feet hang in the air.
Relax and let your thighs and pelvis stretch for 1–2 minutes.
Let gravity do the stretching for you. Then slowly lower the
chair with the lever until your heels touch the oor.
In the right position the buttocks and the back edge of the
chair are level with each other. Sitting too far in the front
diminishes both comfortability and sitting health.
TABLE HEIGHT
The standard table height is about 72 cm, but with Salli Saddle Chairs the table
needs to be more than 80 cm high. We recommend an electronically adjustable
table, see www.salli.com.
When you sit at the correct height, the optimal table height will be approximately
at the height of your elbows. If your table cannot be adjusted to the proper height,
you can raise it with our height adjustment tubes or by some other means.
A table positioned too high (Picture 2) or too low (Picture 3) can cause back, shoul-
der and neck problems.
Your elbows should be
relaxed and resting on
table padding, with your
arms at the sides of your
body.
Picture 2 - Too high Picture 3 - Too low
TIPS FOR ADJUSTING
TABLE HEIGHT
Adjust the table a bit higher for
passive visual tasks (e.g. inter-
net, reading) and a bit lower
(3–4 cm) for active writing.
Picture 1 - Correct table
height
MOVING AROUND WITH SALLI
You can easily move sideways by pushing with one foot and pulling with the other
(Picture). Place things you need around in such a way that you need to roll and
reach to different heights; this is good from the point of view of sitting health,
because moving activates muscles and metabolism. Instructions for easy and
efcient exercises are available at Salli Systems and on www.salli.com.
Notice!
Hard oors and shoes with soft soles make moving around with Salli easy. Be
careful not to lose control of the chair!

and ergonomics

NOTE!
The sitting position on Salli Saddle Chair differs from the traditional chair. Instead of passively sitting in one position,
the user’s muscles and body work actively. This means that saddle chair sitting often demands some getting used
to. Starting to use the Salli Saddle Chair is like starting a new sport – in the beginning your muscles and tissues can
get sore. The sitting bones carry the weight of the upper body, which might cause your buttocks to feel sore in the
beginning. Some people get used to the new sitting position in just one day, some take months to get used to it.
ASSORTED TIPS
• Remember to adjust the table and chair height according to the instructions above.
• Let your body get used to the new way of sitting: don’t be alarmed by the discom-
fort and aches you might feel in the beginning.
• Learn to use the chair as a tool and learn to use your body while sitting.
• Remember to take breaks.
• Sit high and back enough.
After the introductory phase sitting on a correctly adjusted Salli is comfortable!

PRODUCT WARRANTIES
Salli Systems/Easydoing Oy (“Salli”) gives (1) a standard warranty (chairs 5 years, tables and accessories 2 years) and (2) an extended
warranty of ten years for Salli Saddle chairs to customers who register their chairs in Salli Systems database and respond to a customer
feedback survey.
1. The standard warranty
The standard warranty from the date of purchase of the Salli product (“Product”), for any structural defect in the Product or a fault in its
materials or assembly, which arise during regular and normal indoor use of the Product (“Defect”).
Any claim for Defect under this warranty must be made in writing to Salli immediately and in no case later than within seven (7) days
from the date the distributor/end user became or should have become aware of the Defect. Any claims not made within said time-period
will be null and void. The date of the purchase must be veried by the serial number of the Product and the receipt of the end user or
book keeping of the distributor or Salli. The warranty time (2–5 years) is determined by the date of purchase.
The warranty given by Salli does not cover damage or faults caused by:
- any leather damaging liquids
- falling on the oor or dropping
- abrasion against hard, rough or sharp objects that leaves marks
- piercing or impressions made by sharp objects
- normal wear and tear
- pets
- any amendment or alteration made to the Product whatsoever by or at the request of distributor or end user
- any parts or objects other than those approved by Salli in writing prior to assembly used in the Product or in any way attached to the
Product.
Distributor/end user shall send, at their cost, the defective Product to Salli’s factory in Rautalampi, Finland or to Salli’s warehouse or
other place mutually agreed upon between the parties. Upon arrival of the defective Product, Salli shall inspect the Product without any
delay.
Distributor/end user may also make a written description about the defected part and take a photo about it and send this material directly
to Salli by mail or e-mail. Salli may also pay for the transportation of the defected part/product once it has veried that the defect is
covered by the warranty. The repaired or replaced Product will be returned to the distributor or the end user by Salli. Should the Product
not be defective or the Defect not be covered by this warranty, the distributor/end user shall reimburse to Salli reasonable costs for the
inspection of the Product and possible shipments.
Should it be unreasonably expensive or impractical to send the defective Product to Salli factory or to clear the warranty coverage by
written or picture materials, the Defect must be veried by an impartial expert who is agreed on by Salli and distributor/end user for his
warranty to be valid.
When the warranty coverage is clear according to the fore said measures, Salli may also send the defected parts to the distributor/end
user. The warranty of Salli does not cover the work or costs of assembly of the spare parts, or disassembly of the old parts, on behalf of
the end user or distributor but will provide them with adequate written or oral instructions.
The leather quality in the upholstery of the Product may change according to the quality level. Quality A1 is practically faultless; A2 can
have slightly unequal surfaces in different sizes and more normal liveliness of natural leather. A3 quality can have scars in the skin or
even more different or unequal surface areas in the leather but no holes or areas with broken surface.
Salli’s limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties whether written, oral, express or implied. The distributor’s/end user’s sole claim
is for repair or replacement, at Salli’s sole discretion, of any defective Product covered by the warranty. Salli shall not be responsible for
any indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages or lost prots or loss of goodwill. Salli does not make and hereby disclaims
any other warranty, statutory or otherwise, express or implied with respect to the Product including, without limitation, any warranty of
tness for a particular purpose or merchantability. However, this Product Warranty does not and is not intended to limit the rights that
consumers may have under mandatory law. Distributor shall be responsible for, and Salli shall have no obligation to honour, any warran-
ties that Distributor or any of its sub distributors or any other third party, as the case may be, provides to its customers and/or end-users
with respect to the Product that are in addition to, or inconsistent with, the warranties provided by Salli in this Agreement.
2. The extended warranty
The extended warranty is given for Salli Saddle chairs when a customer registers the Salli chair, by using its individual serial number,
in the database of Salli Systems on internet (www.salli.com) within two (2) months after purchasing the product. The extended warranty
for the chair is ten (10) years under the conditions of use specied in Section 1. The extended warranty is only valid when the registered
customer responds to a feedback survey that will be send to him/her about six months after his/her registration on internet. The customer
will be sent a link to a survey by email and he/she needs to respond to that within two (2) months after receiving it by email.
