1. Preface
Thankyouforchoosingourproduct.Youhavepurchasedaproductthatmeetsprecisespecificationsand
upholdsgloballyrecognizedqualitystandards.
Thepurposeofthisthicknessgaugeistowithstandthemostdemandingconditions,includingtemperature
variations,humidity,shock,dust,andvibration.Ourrigoroustestingstandards,alongwithourunwavering
commitmenttoensuringcustomersatisfaction,guaranteethatyoucanrelyonitsqualityatalltimes.
Youcanstartusingthedeviceimmediately,evenwithoutpriorexpertise,thankstoitsuser‐friendlydesign.
Thedeviceincorporatesadvancedtechnology,allowingyoutoeffortlesslyactivatetheextensiverangeof
additionalfunctions.

2.DeviceDescription
TheSaluTronD2Xcoatingthicknessgaugeisacompact,durable,anduser‐friendlydeviceoptimizedfor
yourconvenience.Itisdesignedasaversatiletoolwithmemoryandinterfacecapabilities,enablingnon‐
destructivemeasurementsonbothmagnetic(Fe)andnon‐magnetic(NFE)metalsurfaces(substrates).

TheFEprobeisspecificallydesignedformeasuringnon‐magneticcoatings,includinglacquer,plastic,
chrome,copper,zinc,enamel,etc.,onsteelorironsurfaces.

TheNFeprobeisintendedformeasuringinsulatingcoatings,suchaslacquer,plastic,enamel,etc.,onnon‐
magneticmetalssuchasaluminum,copper,brass,andevencertaintypesofstainlesssteel.




3.Maintenance
Toachieveoptimalresultsandensurealongservicelife,itiscrucialtohandlethedeviceproperly.Please
followtheseguidelines:
Avoidsubjectingthedevicetostrongshocksandpreventtheingressofdirt,chemicals,corrosive
substances,andwater.Thiswillhelpmaintainitsperformanceandaccuracy.
Regularlycleantheprobestoensureaccuratemeasurements.Removeanydirtorpaintfromthe
measuringheadtopreventinterferencewithreadings.
Ifthedeviceisnotgoingtobeusedforanextendedperiod,werecommendremovingthebatteries.
Thiswillhelppreservebatterylifeandpreventpotentialdamageduetobatteryleakage.
Intheeventofanyfaultsorissueswiththedeviceorprobes,pleaserefrainfromattemptingrepairs
onyourown.Instead,wekindlyrequestyoutocontactourservicecenter.Ourdedicatedteamwill
beavailabletoassistyouandprovidethenecessarysupport.

Byadheringtotheseguidelines,youcanensureoptimalperformance,longevity,andreliable
measurementsfromyourcoatingthicknessdevice.

4.PowerSupply
Thisgaugeispoweredbytwo1.5VAAbatteries.Thesebatteriesprovideextendedusageformany
thousandsofmeasurements,equivalenttoapproximately60operatinghourswithoutactivatingthe
backlight.Thebatterycapacitylevelisindicatedbyabatterysymbollocatedintheupperleftcornerofthe
display(refertothepicture).



Note:
Pleasedonotdisposeofusedbatterieswithhouseholdwaste.Instead,ensureproperdisposalat
designatedcollectionsites.

5.Measuring
Thegaugecomeswithanexternalcableprobe,two1.5VAAAlkalinebatteries,asetofmeasuringfoils,a
zeroplate,akitfordatatransfertoaPCandausermanual.Toturnonthedevice,simplypressthe

button.Onceturnedon,thedevicewilldisplaythedeviceIDandthelastmeasuredvalue.Tobegin
measurements,placetheprobeonthecoatingsurface.TheV‐grooveontheprobeheadisespecially
usefulformeasurementsonrods,pipes,andsimilarobjects.
Thegaugeisdeliveredwithanattachedprobe,batteries,asetofmeasuringfoils,azeroplate,kitfordata
transfertoPCandusermanual.Withthebutton

Magneticfields,electricfields,andelectromagneticradiationcanaffectthemeasurementaccuracyin
boththeFerro(Fe)andNon‐Ferro(NFE)sectors.Insuchsituations,itisnecessarytoperformazeroing
procedureforthedevice.Ifrequired,theprobeshouldbecalibratedusingthreenewstandardfoils.

'Applications'section.

Pleaserefrainfrommeasurementsonmagnetsastheymayproduceinaccurateresults.Additionally,to
preventanypotentialdamage,thedeviceautomaticallyshutsoffwhenexposedtohighelectrostatic
charges.

Whenthedeviceispoweredonandyoupressthe

button,theSaluTronD2Xwillimmediatelypoweroff.Ifthedeviceisnotused,itwillautomaticallypower
offafterapproximatelythreeminutes.Ifthedeviceisturnedonwithouttheprobescrewedin,ablinking
probeiconwillappearonthedisplayaccompaniedbyanaudiblesignal.Afterabriefperiod,the
devicewillautomaticallypoweroff.

6.WorkModesofSaluTronD2X
Thedevicecanworkinthreeworkmodes.




  DataisretrievedandtransferredfromthePC.

Inthestandardnon‐memorymode(),measurementsaredisplayedbutnotstored.Furthermore,the
meanvalueiscalculatedcontinuouslyandshownalongwiththetotalnumberofmeasurements.Youhave
theoptiontodeletethisinformationatanytimebyaccessingtheResetmenuitem(refertothemenu
descriptionformoredetails).






Theactiveapplication(calibrationoftheprobe)isshowninthefigureafterAp.Bypressingthebutton:

theinformation(dateandcomment)isshownforthisapplication.






Inadditiontothebasicpointmeasurement(withoutstorage),youcanalsoperformcontinuoussurface
measurements( )withthisdevice.Inthismode,twoorthreemeasurementsarerecordedand
displayedwithinasecond.However,pleasenotethatthesemeasurementsarenotusedtocalculatethe
continuouslydeterminedmeanvalue,soitwillnotbedisplayed.Onlinetransferofthedataisnotavailable
inthismodeeither.



Inthememorymode( )themeasurementsarenotonlydisplayedbutalsostoredindifferentblocks.
Thedisplayofthemean‐valuerefersherealwaystothemeasurementsthatarecurrentlystoredinthe
activemeasurementblock.



Justlikeinthenormalmode,youcanretrieveinformationabouttheactiveapplicationbypressingthe
button:

7.Zeroingofthedevice
Specialconditions,suchasfluctuatingtemperatures,theintroductionofnewbatteries,extendedperiods
ofnon‐use,orvariationsinsubstrates(surfaces),canpotentiallyimpacttheaccuracyofthe
measurements.Intheseinstances,itisadvisabletoperformregularzeroingprocedures.
‐Press inmeasuringmode.



‐Placetheprobeonthemeasuringfoil.Youwillhearabeep.


‐Lifttheprobeatleast5cmfromthefoil.Youwillhearabeep.

Thezeroingisnowcomplete.Thedevicegoesautomaticallyintothemeasurementmodeandisreadyfor
measurements.

Thefollowingsectionofthemanualdemonstratesthevariousoptionsavailabletotheuser,including
devicesettings,storage,andotheravailablefeatures.Theselectionoftheseoptionscanbetailoredtosuit
yourspecificrequirements.

8.Workingwiththemenu


Allfourbuttonshavethefunctionofarrowkeysbywhichtheinputofdatasuchasblocknumbers,limits
