The slots and openings in the cabinet and in the back

Operation
This apparatus uses batteries. In yourcommunity,
there might be environmental regulations that
require you to dispose of these batteries properly.
Please contact yourlocal authorities for disposal or
recycling information.
Do not drop orstrike the product. If the product is
damaged, disconnect the powercord and contact a
Samsung service centre.
When you need to turn off the Projectorcompletely,
wait until the fan stops completelyso that the Project
can cool down completely.
Power
Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or
adaptors beyond theircapacity, since this can result
in fire or electric shock.
Power-supply cords should be placed so that they are
not likelyto be walked on orpinched by items placed
upon or against them. Pay particularattention to
cords at the plug end, at wall outlets, and at the point
where theyexit from the appliance.
To protect this apparatus from a lightning storm, or
when left unattended and unused forlong periods of
time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect
the antenna orcable system. This will prevent
damage to the set due to lightning and powerline
surges.
Before plugging in the AC power cord of the
Projector, make sure that the operational voltage
of the Projectormatches the voltage of your
local electrical powersupply. Referto the power
specifications section of the manual and/orthe
powersupply label on the product forvoltage and
amperage information.
Never insert anything metallic into the open parts of
this apparatus. This may cause electric shock.
To avoid electric shock, nevertouch the inside of this
apparatus. Only a qualified technician should open
this apparatus.
Be sure to plug in the powercord until it is firmly
seated. When unplugging the powercord from a wall
outlet, always pull on the powercord's plug. Never
unplug it by pulling on the powercord. Do not touch
the powercordwith wet hands.
If this apparatus does not operate normally - in
particular, if there are anyunusual sounds or smells
coming from it - unplug it immediately and contact
an authorised dealeror Samsung service centre.
Be sure to pull the powerplug out of the outlet if
the Projector is to remain unused orif you are going
to leave the house for an extended period of time
(especiallywhen children, elderly, or disabled people
will be left alone in the house).

To turn off this apparatus completely, disconnect it
from the wall outlet. To ensure you can unplug this
apparatus quickly if necessary, make sure that the

Cleaning
To clean this apparatus, unplug the powercord
from the wall outlet and wipe the product with
a soft, dry cloth. Do not use anychemicals such
as wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticide,

Projector orerase the printing on the product.

Do not block the light coming out of the projector
lens when in operation. The light will heat the object
and may melt, cause burns orstart a fire.
Do not look directly at the light from the Projector
lens orproject the light into any person's eyes.

Antenna
Bend down the part where the outdoorantenna line
goes into the inside so that rainwatercannot flow
into it.
If you are using an outdoorantenna, please install it
away from electrical wires to make sure it does not
touch any nearbywires even when it falls down due
to heavywind.

03 The Samsung Smart Remote
About the Buttons on the Samsung Smart Remote
The images, buttons, and functions of the Samsung Smart Remote may differdepending on the model.
The Universal Remote function operates normally onlywhen you use the Samsung Smart Remote that comes with
the Projector.
(Power)
Press to turn the Projectoron oroff.
(Numberbutton)
When pressed, a numberstrip appears on
the bottom of the screen. Select numbers
and then select Done to entera numeric
value. Use to change the channel, entera
PIN, entera ZIP code, etc.
When pressed for1 second ormore,
the TTX menu appears.
(Return)
Returns to the previous menu. When
pressed for1 second or more, the running
function is terminated.When pressed
while you are watching a programme, the
previous channel appears.
(Play/pause)
When pressed, the playback controls
appear. Using these controls, you can
control the media content that is playing.
(Smart Hub)
Returns to the Home Screen.
(Volume)
Move the button up ordown to adjust
the volume. To mute the sound, press
the button. When pressed for1 second or
more, the Accessibility Shortcuts menu
appears.
(Channel)
Move the button up ordown to change
the channel. To see the Guide screen,
press the button.
When pressed for1 second ormore,
the Channel List screen appears.
Select
Selects orruns a focused item. When
pressed while you are watching a
broadcast programme, detailed
programme information appears.
Directional button (up/down/left/right)
Used to navigate the Projectormenu,
highlight items on the Home menu, and
change values seen on the Projector's
menu.
(Voice Assistant)
Runs the Voice Assistant you selected.
Press and hold the button, say a
command, and then release the button to
run the Voice Assistant.
The supported Voice Assistant's
languages and features may differby
geographical region.
(Colourbutton)
Use these coloured buttons to access
additional options specific to the feature
you are using.


Pairing the Projectorto the Samsung Smart Remote
When you turn on the Projectorforthe first time, the Samsung Smart Remote pairs
to the Projectorautomatically. If the Samsung Smart Remote does not pairto the
Projector automatically, point it at the remote control sensorof the Projector, and then
press and hold the buttons labelled and as shown in the figure on the left
simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
Installing batteries into the Samsung Smart Remote
To install the batteries, push the rearcoveropen in the direction of the arrowat the bottom of the illustration, and
then insert the batteries as shown in the figure. Make sure that the positive and negative ends are facing in the correct
direction. Close the rearcoveras shown.
Alkaline batteries are recommended forlongerbattery life.

04 Installing the Projector
Install the projectorhorizontallyon a flat surface to prevent it from being tilted.
When the screen and the projectorare not aligned horizontallyand vertically, orthe screen is curved, the
display may get distorted.
1. Place the projectorat an appropriate distance from the screen
to be projected, connect with the powercable, and then turn
it on.
When you turn on your Projectorforthe first time, it
immediately starts the Initial Setup. Followthe instructions
displayed on the screen and configure the Projector's basic
settings to suit yourviewing environment.
– You can turn on the Projectorwith the power button at the
rearof the Projector, and then use the Control menu. The
Control menu appears when the powerbutton is pressed
while the Projector is On.
– When the screen looks skewed orblurred, adjust the
display settings byfollowing the next instruction.

2. Adjust the angle by moving the projectorleft or right oradjust the angle adjusting tilt-adjustment foot at the
bottom to make the screen to be rectangular.

3. Move the projectorforward orbackward to adjust the
projection distance fora desired screen size.
– When the projected screen is unclear, adjust in
Settings > General > Projector Settings > Focus.
– When the projected screen is not a right angle, adjust in
ProjectorSettings > Screen Adjustment.
In this case, the screen resolution may decrease.
– Forinformation about the screen sizes foreach projection
distance, refer to the following table.

Using the Powerbutton
You can turn on the Projectorwith the power button at the rearof the Projector, and then use the Control menu. The
Control menu appears when the powerbutton is pressedwhile the Projectoris On. For more information about its
usage, referto the figure below.
Manipulate buttons on the side of the product so that the projected screen is not covered.
Be careful not to directlyget the light emitted from the projectorlens.

Mounting the Projectoron a wall
In orderto install the projectoron a wall, be sure to consult with a professional service agency. Otherwise,
the projector mayslip orfall off, resulting in personal injury ordamage to the product.

Do not install yourwall mount kitwhile yourProjectoris turned on. This mayresult in personal injuryfrom
electric shock.
Do not use screws that are longer than the standard dimension ordo not complywith the standard screw
specifications. Screws that are too long maycause damage to the inside of the Projector set.
Forwall mounts that do not complywith the standard screw specifications, the length of the screws may differ
depending on the wall mount specifications.
Do not fasten the screws too firmly. This may damage the product orcause the product to fall, leading to personal
injury. Samsung is not liable forthese kinds of accidents.
Samsung is not liable for product damage or personal injurywhen a non-specified wall mount is used orwhen the
consumerfails to followthe product installation instructions.
Always have two people mount the Projectoronto a wall.

05 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Troubleshooting
If the Projectorseems to have a problem, first review this list of possible problems and solutions. Alternatively, review
the Troubleshooting Section in the e-Manual. If none of the troubleshooting tips apply, please visit "www.samsung.
com" and click Support or contact the Samsung service centre listed on the back coverof this manual.
To keep your Projectorin optimum condition, upgrade to the latest software. Use the Update Now or Auto update
functions on the Projector's menu ( > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now or Auto update).
The Projectorwon’t turn on.
Make sure that the AC powercable is securely plugged in to the Projectorand the wall outlet.
Make sure that thewall outlet is working and the Remote control sensorat the front right of the Projectoris lit and
glowing a solid red.
Try pressing the Power button at the rearof the Projectorto make sure that the problem is not with the remote
control. If the Projectorturns on, referto “The remote control does not work".
There is no picture/video/sound, ora distorted picture/video/sound from an external device, or
“Weak orNo Signal” is displayed on the Projector, oryou cannot find a channel.
Make sure the connection to the device is correct and that all cables are fully inserted.
Remove and reconnect all cables connected to the Projector and the external devices. Try newcables if possible.
Confirm that the correct input source has been selected ( > Source).
Perform a Projector self diagnosis to determine if the problem is caused by the Projectoror the device ( >
Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test or Sound Test).
If the test results are normal, reboot the connected devices by unplugging each device's powercable and then
plugging it in again. If the issue persists, referto the connection guide in the usermanual of the connected device.
If you are not using a cable box or satellite box, and yourProjectoris receiving TV signals from an antenna or a cable
wall connector, run Auto Tuning to search forchannels ( > Settings > Broadcasting > (Auto Tuning Settings) >
Auto Tuning).
– The Auto Tuning Settings may not appear depending on the model orgeographical area.
– If you are using a cable box orsatellite box, please referto the cable box or satellite box manual.

The remote control does not work.
Check if the Remote control sensorat the front right of the Projectorblinks when you press the remote's Power
button. If it does not, replace the remote control's batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are installed with theirpoles (+/–) in the correct direction.
Try pointing the remote directly at the Projectorfrom m away.
If yourProjectorcame with a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth Remote), make sure to pairthe remote to the
Projector.
Changing the Projector’s password
> Settings > General > System Manager > Change PIN
1. Run Change PIN

2. Entera new password and then enterit again to confirm it. The password change is complete.

On the Samsung Smart Remote: Select (Volume) button. > Volume Up > > Volume Down > > Volume
Up > .
