Features for the UHD Evolution Kit
•
SMART HUB : Your TV features Smart Hub, a multi-purpose entertainment and family centre. With Smart Hub, you can surf the web,
download applications. In addition, you can view or play photo, video, and music files stored on external storage devices.
•
e-Manual : Provides a detailed, on-screen user’s manual built into the UHD Evolution Kit.
•
Samsung Smart Control : You can control easy to use with the Samsung Smart Control’s POINTER, without the buttons on standard
remote control.
Limitations
TV Panel and Design are not changed by Evolution Kit. Actual performance may vary and subject to model specifications and hardware
limitations.
Upgrading to a 2015 TV using the UHD Evolution Kit results in the following limitations:
•
The UHD Evolution Kit may not support some apps and functions that you used on your TV.
•
Installing the UHD Evolution Kit may reset some of the existing TV settings.
[Read the precautions before attaching

When attaching the UHD Evolution Kit, make sure to put the UHD Evolution Kit in the slot. If it is not placed properly, it might get
damaged.

After detaching the TV from wall-mounting kit, attach the UHD Evolution Kit.
–
If you connect the UHD Evolution Kit using other TV, it may be initialised using that TV’s user data.
Installing UHD Evolution Kit
–
First, make sure to connect to the internet with the UHD Evolution Kit.
By connecting the UHD Evolution Kit to your existing Samsung TV, you can upgrade the TV’s software without purchasing a new TV. Use
the UHD Evolution Kit to unlock the new features and services offered by Samsung Electronics.

1. Update to the latest software on your TV. Navigate to Support > Software Update > Update now .
2. Back up your data by navigating to
System > UHD Evolution Kit Backup , and then select Start .

Some data or apps installed on the TV may not be backed up. In this case, install a UHD Evolution Kit, and then reconfigure those
data or reinstall those apps.
3. A pop-up window appears. Confirm whether or not you have any recorded programmes by connecting the recording USB device to
the USB HDD 5V 1A slot, select
Yes . If you do not have recorded programmes, select No and go to step 5.

If you view recorded programmes on a TV with a newly installed UHD Evolution Kit, it is necessary to convert the programme.

Conversion of recorded programme is also available after installing UHD Evolution Kit by Navigating to System > Update Recorded

4. Convert your recorded programmes following the directions on the screen.

5. After completing the backup and conversion, select

6. After turning off the TV, disconnect its power plug.
7. Connect a UHD Evolution Kit to the TV. Make sure to connect the end of the UHD Evolution Kit cable marked TV to the TV and the
other end to the Kit.

If you have the existing One Connect or UHD Evolution Kit, disconnect it and connect a new UHD Evolution Kit to the TV.
–
When converting recorded programmes, make sure to connect a recording USB device to the UHD Evolution Kit.

When connecting the UHD Evolution Kit, make sure to use the provided UHD Evolution Kit cable.
8. Reconnect the power plug, turn on the TV, and then follow the directions on the screen to complete the installation of the UHD
Evolution Kit.

Recovering a Previous State
If you restore your TV to older settings, it will not play recorded programmes from a TV that was updated via the UHD Evolution Kit.
- Availability depends on the specific model and area.
1. Turn off the TV and then disconnect the TV power plug.
2. Disconnect the UHD Evolution Kit and UHD Evolution Kit cable from the TV.

Connect the previously used One Connect and One Connect cable to the TV.
3. Turn on the TV, navigate to
Software Update ( Support > Software Update ), and then update the software.

Update the software via the Internet. Otherwise, you will not be able to update via USB or play DRM-protected videos.

The Samsung Smart Control
: Press this button to mute the sound temporarily.
- AD: Press and hold this button to bring up
Accessibility Shortcuts that enables or disables Accessibility menus.
MIC : Use the microphone with the Voice Control and Voice functions.
: Turns the TV on and off.
SOURCE: Displays and selects the available video sources.
MENU/123: Displays the numeric buttons, the content control button, and other function buttons on the screen so
that you can run functions conveniently.
- Press and hold this button to run the
Voice Recognition function.
POINTER: Place a finger on the
POINTER button and move the Samsung Smart Control. The pointer on the
screen moves in the direction you moved the Samsung Smart Control. Press the POINTER button to select or run
a focused item.
Y : Changes the volume.
< P > : Changes the channel.
< > ¡ £ : Moves the focus, and changes the values seen on the TV’s menu.
(Enter): Selects or runs a focused item.

Installing batteries into the Samsung Smart Control
To use the Samsung Smart Control, push the rear cover open in the direction of the
arrow and insert the batteries as shown in the figure. Make sure that the positive
and negative ends are facing the correct direction.

Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer battery life.
Connecting to the TV
Press the button on the Samsung Smart Control to turn on the TV. The Samsung Smart Control connects to the TV automatically. If
this is the first time you have turned on the TV, the Initial Setup screen appears. Follow the directions on the screen to set up the TV.
Pairing the TV to the Samsung Smart Control
If your Samsung Smart Control is not paired to your TV, press and hold the buttons labelled ①and ②
simultaneously for 3 seconds or more to pair the Samsung Smart Control to the TV.

The Samsung Smart Control can only be paired to one TV at a time.
The e-Manual
The embedded e-Manual contains information about the key features of your TV.
Displaying the e-Manual:

On the Samsung Smart Control, press the MENU/123 button, and then select e-Manual on the On-Screen Remote.

On the TV’s menu, select Support > e-Manual .

WARRANTY
This Samsung product is warranted for the period of the listed period at the table (Refer to the warranty period
table by the country) from the original date of purchase, against defective materials and workmanship. In the event
that warranty service is required, you should first return the product to the retailer from whom it was purchased.
However, Samsung Authorised Service Centres will comply with this warranty during the Warranty Period. To
obtain details, please contact your nearest Authorised Service Centre.
PROCEDURE FOR MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM
To make a claim under the warranty, you must contact the Samsung Centre during the Warranty Period to
discuss the problems you are having with the product. If a repair or replacement is required, you will be provided
with a Warranty Claim Number and address of an Authorised Service Centre.
If you are provided with a Warranty Claim Number, to obtain a repair or replacement of the product, you must
send the product to the Authorised Service Centre advised together with:
a copy of your completed warranty card or, if you have already provided this to Samsung, your name, address
and contact telephone number;
your original receipt, invoice or sales slip for the purchase of the product as new;
your Warranty Claim Number.
Samsung will then repair or replace the product and return it to you using the contact details provided.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. The warranty is only valid if the above procedure for making a warranty claim is followed.
2. Samsung’s obligations are limited to the repair or, at its discretion, replacement of the product or the
defective part.
3. Warranty repairs must be carried out by Samsung Authorised Service Centres. No re-imbursement will
be made for repairs carried out by service centres or dealers that are not authorised by Samsung and
any such repair work and damage to the products caused by such repair work will not be covered by this
warranty.
4. This product is not considered to be defective in materials nor workmanship by reason that it requires
adaptation in order to conform to national or local technical or safety standards in force in any country
other than the one for which the product was originally designed and manufactured. This warranty will
not cover, and no reimbursement will be made for such adaptation, nor any damage which may result.
5. The warranty does not apply to any product that has been damaged or rendered defective as a result of
any of the following excluded reasons, namely:
- as a result of accident, misuse, or abuse;
- through the failure to use this product for its normal purposes;
- by the use of parts not manufactured or sold by Samsung;
- by modification without the written permission of Samsung;
- by damage resulting from transit, neglect, power surge or failure;
- by damage resulting from lightning, water, fire, or acts of God;
- as a result of normal wear and tear; or
- differences in broadcasting methods or product standards between countries.
6. This warranty is valid for any person who legally acquired possession of the product during the warranty
period.
7. NOTHING IN THESE WARRANTY CONDITIONS SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT SAMSUNG’S LIABILITY
FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY THE PROVEN NEGLIGENCE OF SAMSUNG,
UNLESS SUCH LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION IS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
8. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SAMSUNG’S LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED
BY LAW, SAMSUNG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES LOSSES OR EXPENSES; OR LOST PROFITS; OR LOSS OF USE OR
LOSS OF DATA; OR DAMAGE TO GOODWILL, REPUTATION OR LOST BUSINESS, ARISING DIRECTLY
OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE PURCHASE, USE OR SALE OF THE PRODUCT, WHETHER OR NOT
SAMSUNG WAS ADVISED OR AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, LOSSES OR
EXPENSES.
9. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SAMSUNG’S LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED
BY LAW, SAMSUNG’S LIABILITY UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS WARRANTY OR THE
PURCHASE, USE OR SALE OF THE PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE
PRODUCT AS NEW.

Memasang baterai ke Samsung Smart Control
Agar dapat menggunakan Samsung Smart Control, tekan penutup belakang untuk
membukanya dengan mengikuti arah panah, lalu masukkan baterai seperti yang
ditunjukkan pada gambar. Pastikan ujung positif dan negatif menghadap ke arah
yang tepat.

Untuk masa pakai baterai yang lebih lama, sebaiknya gunakan baterai
Alkaline.
Menyambungkan ke TV
Tekan tombol pada Samsung Smart Control untuk menghidupkan TV. Samsung Smart Control akan tersambung ke TV secara
otomatis. Jika Anda menghidupkan TV untuk pertama kalinya, layar Konfigurasi Awal akan ditampilkan. Ikuti petunjuk di layar untuk
mengkonfigurasi TV.
Memasangkan TV dengan Samsung Smart Control
Jika Samsung Smart Control belum dipasangkan ke TV, tekan terus tombol berlabel ①dan ②secara
bersamaan selama 3 detik atau lebih untuk memasangkan Samsung Smart Control dengan TV.
- Samsung Smart Control hanya dapat dipasangkan ke satu TV pada satu waktu.
e-Manual
e-Manual bawaan berisi informasi tentang fitur utama TV Anda.
Menampilkan e-Manual:

Pada Samsung Smart Control, tekan tombol MENU/123 , lalu pilih e-Manual di Remote pada Layar.

1. Garansi hanya berlaku jika prosedur untuk mengajukan klaim garansi di atas diikuti.
2. Kewajiban Samsung terbatas pada memperbaiki atau, atas kebijakannya sendiri, mengganti produk atau
komponen yang rusak.
3. Perbaikan garansi harus dilakukan oleh Pusat Servis Resmi Samsung. Penggantian uang tidak akan
diberikan atas perbaikan yang dilakukan oleh pusat servis atau penyalur yang tidak disetujui oleh
Samsung serta perbaikan dan kerusakan apa pun pada produk yang disebabkan oleh perbaikan tersebut
tidak akan dicakup dalam garansi ini.
4. Produk ini tidak dianggap cacat dalam bahan atau pengerjaan apabila memerlukan penyesuaian untuk
mematuhi standar teknis atau keselamatan setempat yang berlaku di negara selain negara tujuan produk
tersebut dirancang dan diproduksi. Garansi ini tidak mencakup, dan penggantian uang tidak akan
dibayarkan untuk penyesuaian tersebut, maupun kerusakan apa pun yang mungkin ditimbulkannya.
5. Garansi tidak berlaku untuk produk apa pun yang telah rusak atau dianggap rusak sebagai akibat dari
beberapa alasan yang dikecualikan berikut ini:
- akibat kecelakaan, penyalahgunaan, atau perlakuan kasar;
- karena kegagalan untuk menggunakan produk ini sesuai tujuannya;
- menggunakan komponen yang tidak diproduksi atau dijual oleh Samsung;
- modifikasi tanpa izin tertulis dari Samsung;
- kerusakan yang ditimbulkan oleh pengangkutan, kelalaian, lonjakan atau kegagalan daya;
- kerusakan yang ditimbulkan oleh petir, air, kebakaran, atau bencana alam;
- sebagai akibat dari keausan normal; atau
- perbedaan antar metode siaran atau standar produk antar negara.
6. Garansi ini berlaku bagi siapa pun yang memiliki produk ini secara sah selama masa garansi.
7. TIDAK ADA KETENTUAN APA PUN DALAM GARANSI INI YANG MENGECUALIKAN ATAU MEMBATASI
PERTANGGUNGJAWABAN SAMSUNG ATAS KEMATIAN ATAU CEDERA YANG DISEBABKAN OLEH
KELALAIAN SAMSUNG YANG TELAH TERBUKTI, KECUALI PEMBATASAN ATAU PENGECUALIAN
TERSEBUT DIIZINKAN OLEH HUKUM YANG BERLAKU.
8. DENGAN PENGECUALIAN PERTANGGUNGJAWABAN SAMSUNG YANG TIDAK DAPAT
DIKECUALIKAN ATAU DIBATASI MENURUT HUKUM, SAMSUNG TIDAK BERTANGGUNG JAWAB
ATAS: KERUSAKAN, KERUGIAN ATAU BIAYA TIDAK LANGSUNG, INSIDENTAL, KHUSUS ATAU
KONSEKUENSIAL APA PUN; ATAU KEHILANGAN KEUNTUNGAN; ATAU KEHILANGAN PENGGUNAAN
ATAU KEHILANGAN DATA; ATAU KERUSAKAN NAMA BAIK, REPUTASI, ATAU BISNIS YANG
HILANG, YANG DITIMBULKAN SECARA LANGSUNG ATAU TIDAK LANGSUNG, OLEH PEMBELIAN,
PENGGUNAAN ATAU PENJUALAN PRODUK, BAIK SAMSUNG TELAH DIBERI TAHU ATAU
MENGETAHUI KEMUNGKINAN KERUSAKAN, KERUGIAN, ATAU BIAYA TERSEBUT MAUPUN TIDAK.

DENGAN PENGECUALIAN PERTANGGUNGJAWABAN SAMSUNG YANG TIDAK DAPAT DIKECUALIKAN
ATAU DIBATASI MENURUT HUKUM, PERTANGGUNGJAWABAN SAMSUNG ATAS ATAU DALAM
KAITANNYA DENGAN GARANSI INI ATAU PEMBELIAN, PENGGUNAAN, ATAU PENJUALAN PRODUK
TIDAK MELEBIHI HARGA YANG DIBAYARKAN UNTUK PRODUK DALAM KEADAAN BARU.
10. KECUALI DINYATAKAN LAIN DALAM GARANSI INI, SEMUA KETENTUAN, JAMINAN, DAN
PERSYARATAN YANG TERSIRAT MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG ATAU REGULASI LAIN DENGAN INI
DIKECUALIKAN SEJAUH YANG DIIZINKAN OLEH HUKUM.
11. Ketentuan garansi di atas tidak mempengaruhi hak Anda sebagai konsumen atau hak lain berdasarkan

1. Mettez à niveau le logiciel de votre téléviseur. Accédez à Assistance > Mise à jour du logiciel > MàJ maintenant.
2. Accédez à Système > Sauvegarde Kit Evolution UHD pour sauvegarder vos données, puis sélectionnez Démarrer.

Il se peut que certaines données ou applications installées sur le téléviseur ne soient pas sauvegardées. Dans ce cas, installez un
UHD Evolution Kit, puis reconfigurez ces données ou réinstallez ces applications.
3. Une fenêtre contextuelle s’affiche. Indiquez si vous disposez de programmes enregistrés en insérant le périphérique d’enregistrement
USB dans le port USB HDD 5 V 1 A, puis sélectionnez Oui. Si vous ne disposez d’aucun programme enregistré, sélectionnez Non
et passez à l’étape 5.

Si vous visionnez des programmes enregistrés sur un téléviseur avec un UHD Evolution Kit qui vient d’être installé, il vous faut
convertir ces programmes.

Vous pouvez aussi convertir un programme enregistré après avoir installé le UHD Evolution Kit en accédant à Système > Mettre à
jour les programmes enregistrés.

4. Procédez à la conversion de vos programmes enregistrés en suivant les instructions à l’écran.

5. Après avoir effectué sauvegarde et conversion, sélectionnez Terminé.
6. Après avoir éteint le téléviseur, débranchez la fiche d’alimentation.
7. Connectez un UHD Evolution Kit au téléviseur. Veillez à relier l’extrémité du câble de l’UHD Evolution Kit portant la mention «TV» au
téléviseur et l’autre extrémité au Kit.

Si vous disposez du One Connect ou UHD Evolution Kit existant, débranchez-le et connectez un nouvel UHD Evolution Kit au
téléviseur.

Lors de la conversion de programmes enregistrés, assurez-vous de bien connecter un périphérique d’enregistrement USB au
UHD Evolution Kit.

En cas de connexion du UHD Evolution Kit, veillez à utiliser le câble du UHD Evolution Kit fourni.
8. Rebranchez la fiche d’alimentation, mettez le téléviseur sous tension, puis suivez les instructions à l’écran pour terminer l’installation
de l’UHD Evolution Kit.
