The
Samsung Smart Control has a motion sensor that lets
you
control the
TV
easily
by
moving the Samsung Smart Control
and
using it much
like
acordless mouse.
Limitations
TV
Panel
and
Design
are
not
changed
by
Evolution
Kit.
Actual
performance
may
vary
and
subject to
model
specifications
and
hardware
limitations.
Upgrading
to a 2015
TV
with
the
UHD
Evolution
Kit
results
in
the
following
limitations
:
•
The
UHD
Evolution Kit
may
not support some apps
and
functions that
you
used
on
your
TV
.
• Installing the
UHD
Evolution Kit
may
reset some ofthe existing
TV
settings.

Installation Precautions
•
When
you
attach the
Kit,
make
sure
you
connect the
UHD
Evolution Kit cable to the
UHD
Evolution Kit
and
your
TV
correctly.
If
you
do not connect the cable correctly,
you
can damage the
Kit.
-If
you
are
connecting the Kit to awall-mounted
TV,
remove
the
TV
from the
wall
first,
and
then connect the
Kit.
-
If
you
connect a
UHD
Evolution Kit that
has
been
connected to another
TV
to your
TV,
the Kit
may
initialize
using the other TV's data.

Installing
the UHD
Evolution
Kit
~
First, check the TV's networkstatus and ensure there
is
an
Internet connection.
By
connect1ng
the
UHD
Evolution
Kit
to your
existing
Samsung
TV,
you
can
upgrade the
TV's
software without purchasing a
new
TV
.
Use
the
UHD
Evolution
Kit
to unlock the
new
features
and
services
offered
by
Samsung
Electronics.
1.
Update
to the
latest
software
on
your
TV.
Navigate
to
Support > Software Update > Update now.
2. Back up your data by navigating to
System > UHD Evolution Kit Backup,
and
then select
Start.

Some dataor apps installed
on
the TV
may
not
be
backed
up.
In
this case, install a
UHD
Evolution Kit, and then
reconfigure those data orreinstall those apps.
3.
After completing the backup
and
conversion, select
Done.
4.
After turning off
the
TV,
disconnect
its
power
plug.
5. Connect a
UHD
Evolution
Kit
to the
TV.
Make
sure
to connect the
end
ofthe
UHD
Evolution
Kit
cable
marked
TV
to the
TV
and
the other
end
tothe
Kit.

If
you
have
the existing One Connect or
UHD
Evolution Kit, disconnect it and connect a new
UHD
Evolution Kit
tothe
TV.
~
When
connecting the
UHD
Evolution Kit, make sure to
use
the provided
UHD
Evolution Kit cable.
6.
Reconnect
the power
plug,
tum
on
the
TV,
and
then
follow
the directions
on
the
screen
to complete the
installation
ofthe
UHD
Evolution
Kit.
~
Store your old One Connect
in
a safe place.
Do
not discard
it.

POINTER : Place a finger on the POINTER button and move the Samsung Smart Control . The pointer on the
screen moves in the direction you moved the Samsung Smart Control. Press the POINTER button to select or run
afocused item.
A V () : Moves the focus and changes the values seen on the TV's menu .
0 ( Enter) : Press this button to select or run a focused item.
-Press and hold this button
to launch the Guide while you are watching the TV .
RETURN: Press this button to return to the previous menu .
-EXIT:
Press and hold this button to exit the currently running function on theTV's screen.

Installing Batteries into the Samsung Smart Control
To install the batteries, push the rear cover open in t~e direction of the arrow and insert the batteries as shown in the figure.
Make sure that the positive and negative ends are facing in the correct direction.
~ Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer battery life.

Connecting
to
the
TV
Press
the

on
the
Samsung
Smart
Control
to turn
on
the
T\1.
The
Samsung
Smart
Control
connects to
the
TV
automatically.
If
this
is
the first
time
you
have
turned
on
the
TV,
the
Initial
Setup
screen
appears.
Follow
the
directions
on
the
screen
to
set
up
the
TV.
Pairing
the
TV
to
the
Samsung
Smart
Control
When
you
turn
on
the
TV
for the
first
time,
the
Samsung
Smart
Control
pairs
to the
TV
automatically.
If
the
Samsung
Smart
Control
does
not
pair
to
the
TV
automatically,
point
it
at
the
remote
control
sensor
of
the
TV,
and
then
press
and
hold
the
buttons
labeled
CD
and
@
in
the
diagram
on
the
left
simultaneously
for 3
seconds
or
more.
