Step1. How to prepare the USB Memory Drive

2. Connect the USB Memory Drive to the USB port of your PC.
Copy the file onto the USB Memory Drive

3. Go to the USB Memory Drive and then double click the file.

6. After completing, click on the
“O ” “C ”
7. A folder containing the firmware files

B memory drive.
Folder name : T-MST5AUSC
8. Safely disconnect the USB memory drive
by right clicking the green check mark

Step2. How to upgrade the Firmware
[Step 1] Turn on TV to upgrade.
[Step 2] Insert the USB Memory Drive
containing the firmware into the USB

TV will restart automatically for software

[Step 3] Press the MENU button, select
‘Support’, ‘Software Upgrade’. Then press
‘By USB’.

[Step 7] After TV turns on again,

[Step 4] The message “Scanning for USB.
This may take more 1 min.” is displayed.

Upgrading...
Please do not disconnect the USB until upgrade is
completed. TV will automatically restart after
completing upgrade.

[Step 8] When the firmware upgrade
is complete, the TV will turn off and
then back on by itself.

This may take more than 1 min.
[Step 5] If TV finds valid version, it
Shows below message.
Valid version found in the My USB device.
Upgrade version 000000 to version 001007?
The system will be reset after upgrade.
Upgrade is completed.

Cautions
While upgrading,
Do not pull the USB Memory drive out.
Do not unplug the power cable.
Do not turn off the TV with remote control.

Pulling the USB Memory drive out or unplugging the power cable will cause
firmware error or main board failure. Those cases are not covered by Samsung
warranty policy.
