Read these instructions before use and keep them safe. If
you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions too.
Remove all packaging, but keep it until you are satisfied.
Important Safeguards
Before connecting the appliance check that the voltage
indicated on the label corresponds to the mains voltage in
your country.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions
should always be followed. Please read the following carefully
before use:
1. After unpacking, make sure that there are no visible signs
of damage.
2. This appliance must only be used as a hot water bottle as
indicated in the instructions. Any other use is to be
considered hazardous. Selian Agencies C.C. and any of
its associate companies cannot be held responsible for
any damage or injury that may occur due to improper,
incorrect, careless and or negligent use.
3. Do not use with wet hands or feet, or while your body is
wet.
4. Do not use the Hot Water Bottle if it is wet.
5. Do not pull the appliance or the power cord to remove the
plug from the socket during or after charging.
6. Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that it is cold,
and not connected to the power outlet.
7. Should the Hot Water Bottle or protection fuse fail to work
properly, unplug it from the power outlet. Contact the
Consumer Service Centre for examination and repair.
8. Check the Hot Water Bottle regularly for wear or damage,
particularly the charging port.
9. Check the charging cord regularly for wear or damage.
10.The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged the appliance should be scrapped.
11.During charging, ensure that the power cord is completely
unwound.

12.Your Elektra Hot Water Bottle has been supplied with a
charging cord that has been purpose designed short. The
Hot Water Bottle must NOT be used while it is charging or
plugged in to a power outlet while connected to the
charger.
13.The appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
14.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
15.Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is
used by children, invalids and people sensitive and
insensitive to heat.
16.Always allow the appliance to cool down before packing
away.
17.Only use the Hot Water Bottle with the charger provided.
18.Do not fold the Hot Water Bottle.
19.Avoid creasing the Hot Water Bottle.
20.Do not iron the Hot Water Bottle.
21.Please follow cleaning instructions carefully so as to avoid
injury or damage.
22.This appliance is not designed for medical or hospital use.
23.Keep the Hot Water Bottle away from sharp objects.
24.Do not insert needles or pins into the Hot Water Bottle.
25.Do not use the Hot Water Bottle while it is charging
/heating up.
26.Never use the Hot Water Bottle with the charging cord
plugged in.
27.Do not use the Hot Water Bottle if it is leaking.
28. The Footwarmer cover has been designed to be used
only as a foot cover and is only to be used with the
Elektra Hot Water Bottle provided.
29. Use of any other component or products that are not
provided with this appliance, may result in injury.

Household use only

Additional Safeguards
1. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Contact the
approved Service Centre for examination and repair.
2. This product has been designed to operate safely when
used according to the instruction guide.
3. Do not stand, sit or lie with your weight directly or indirectly
on the Hot Water Bottle.
4. It is normal during charging/heating up that the bottle may
swell up. To reduce the amount it swells gently shake the
Hot Water Bottle once or twice with the charging cord
disconnected.
5. If during charging/heating the Hot Water Bottle swells up
very badly, unplug, gently shake 3 or 4 times, and after it
has cooled down recharge again. If the problem persists,
contact the approved Service Centre.
Take care when using this appliance as it generates heat. Use of
this product constitutes your understanding and acceptance that
if not used properly, and or precautions/care is not taken where
necessary, injury may result. Under such circumstances, no
liability rests with the retailer, supplier, importer and
manufacturer.

Know your Elektra Comfort Hot Water Bottle

Charging up your Elektra Comfort Hot Water Bottle
- Unwind the charging cord and plug it into the power outlet.
- Place the Hot Water Bottle on a smooth, flat surface.
- Connect the adaptor to the charging port.
- Switch on the power at the outlet.
- The red light on the adaptor will light up.
- The Hot Water Bottle should take approximately 10 - 15
minutes to heat up to the maximum temperature.
- When the Hot Water Bottle has finished charging the red
light on the adaptor will switch off.
- Carefully remove the adaptor from the charging port and
place the Hot Water Bottle in to the Hot Water Bottle
Cover.
N.B. Do not use the Hot Water Bottle while it is charging.

Should you need to clean the Hot Water Bottle:
- Wipe it down with a damp cloth and a small amount
of non-abrasive cleaning agent.
- Never get the Hot Water Bottle wet.
- Do not use it if it is wet.
Storage Instructions
The best place to store your Hot Water Bottle when not
in use, is in the box you purchased it in.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the Hot Water
Bottle.
Do not store near or use near sharp objects.
Do not use any moth-proofing chemicals on your Hot
Water Bottle.
After Sales Service
Your Elektra Comfort Hot Water Bottle is not user-serviceable.
If the charge light does not illuminate and the Hot Water Bottle
does not heat up, check to see that:
1. You have followed the instructions properly.
2. The outlet supply is switched on.
3. The main supply fuse/circuit breaker has not
blown/tripped.

If the appliance still does not work, contact the Service Centre.
If the light does illuminate and the Hot Water Bottle does not heat
up, contact the Service Centre.
If the power supply cord or any wiring is damaged, or the Hot
Water Bottle has been misused or damaged, stop use
immediately and contact the Service Centre.

Guarantee
Any defect affecting the functionality of the appliance which
becomes apparent within one (1) year of its purchase, will be
corrected by free repair or replacement, provided that the
appliance has been used and maintained in accordance with the
instructions, and has not been altered, abused or misused in
anyway, and is accompanied with a Proof of Purchase to validate
the age of the appliance.
