Switch off the unit when you don't useit. Switch off the unitand disconnect itfrom
the ACpower supply whenit is notbeing used fora long time.(Plug, as the
disconnected device entirelywith power source, should keep in easy-to-operation in
daily life.)
Don't install theunit in a place exposed to heating sources or direct sunshine.

The apparatus shallnot be exposed to dripping or splashing and any object filled
with liquids, suchas vases shall not be placed on it.
Install the uniton a horizontal, flat and firm surface with good ventilation. Never

Use a softand clean cloth to clean the outside of the unit . Never clean it with
chemicals or detergent.

DVD REGION CODES:
DVD discs andplayers are covered by a worldwide agreement which limits
playback of DVDdiscs to specific regions as determined by thesoftware
manufacturer. Most DVDs come marked with a region coding. A disc specified as
playable in one region may not play on a player designed for a different region. A
disc specified as universal or with no region coding (Code )may be played in
any region.

Remote control
Insert two AAA/1.5V batteries into the remote control. Point the remote control at
the remote sensor on the front panel. The remote control works within a distance of
about 7 metres from the sensor and within an angle of about 30 degrees from the
left and right side.
Note:
Remove the batteries when you do not intend to use the remote control for a long
time.
Do not mixnew and usedbatteries, or different types of batteries.
Weak batteries can leak and severely damage the remote control.
Be environmentally friendly and dispose of batteries according to your
government regulations.

1Remove the battery compartment cover
on the back of the remote control.
2Load the batteriesinto the battery
compartment making sure that the
batteries have been inserted with the
correct polarities matchingthe symbols +,
- as indicatedinside the battery
compartment.
3Replace the cover.

GOTO
Press to enteran item in the menu orto confirm and execute a selection.
The direction keyscan be used to move thehighlight in the menu.
Press to open/close the disc tray.

SETUP
Press to enter/exitthe setup menu.
The digit keyscan be used to input numbersor make selection of a trackor a
chapter, etc.
During playback, pressto enter the GOTO menu. In the menu, use the
direction key [UP]/[DOWN]to select a setting item andpress [ENTER] to enter
the editing state,then with the digit keys inputa specific track, disc time, track
time, chapter,title, chapter time or title timeto go to directly. Press it again to
exit the GOTO menu.
Press this buttonto enter/exit the program menu withwhich you can playback
the contents ofa disc in your desired order.
In the programmenu, use the direction keys anddigit keys to make a program
list, then movethe highlight on START and press [ENTER]to start program
playback.
During program playback,press [PROG] to enter the programmenu. Now,
STOP is highlighted. Press[ENTER] to cancel the current programplayback.

Press repeatedly toselect a TV type, NTSC, PAL or MULTI.

Press to switchon the unit. Press it againto put the unit in standbymode.
Press for fastforward playback. The available speeds are 2X, 4X,8X, 16X and
32X.
Remote control Function
Press to temporarilypause a playback. Press it againto resume the playback.
Press to starta playback or resume the normalplayback from the fast forward,
fast reverse, frame-by-frame,slow-motion playback, etc.
Press to returnto the previous chapter/track.
Press to skipto the next chapter/track.
Fast reverse playback.The available speeds are 2X, 4X, 8X, 16Xand 32X.
STEP
Press it once to pre-stop a playback. Press [ ] to resume the playback from
the pre-stopped status. Press it twice to stop a playback and the disc will be
reset to thestarting point.
Press repeatedly toadvance the video frame by frame.Press [ ] to resume the
normal playback. (Note:Applies to DVD, VCD discs,etc.)

Press repeatedly toswitch the repeat modes.
(Note: For VCD2.0,etc, this function is invalid whenthe PBC function is activated.)
You can repeat a specific section ofa disc with this button.
Press this buttonto mark down the starting point(A) and press it again to mark
down the endingpoint (B). Then, the unit will playback this section over and over
again. Press itfor the third time to cancelA-B repeat and resume to the normal
playback.
Note: PointsA and B must bein the same title/ track.

MUTE
Press this buttonto switch off the sound temporarily. Press it againto switch it on.
VOLUME+/-
Press [VOLUME+] toturn up the volume; press [VOLUME-]to turn down the
volume.
Press repeatedly forslow-motion playback in different speeds. The available
speeds are 1/2,1/4, 1/8, 1/16 of the normalspeed. Press [ ] to resumethe normal
playback. (Note:Applies to DVD, VCD discs, etc.)
Press to enterthe title menu of a DVDdisc.
TITLE
Remote control Function
Press to returnto the root menu.
When playing discencoded with PBC function, press todisplay the PBC menu.
Press it againto disable the PBC function. (Note:DVD, VCD1.1, CD-DAand MP3
disc have noPBC function.)
MENU
Press repeatedly toswitch the subtitles or switch off the subtitlefunction.
(Note: This function only workswith those discs encoded with subtitles.)
SUBTITLE
OSD
Press repeatedly toswitch or hide the relative information of the playing disc.
Press repeatedly toselect the available audio languages provided by the disc(for
DVD).
AUDIO/LANG
Press repeatedly toswitch the available audio channels (LEFTMONO, RIGHT
MONO, MIX-MONO andSTEREO) provided by the disc (forVCD).
L/R/ST
Press to switchthe viewing angles.
(Note: This function only workswith the discs encoded with multiple camera
angles.)
ANGLE
V-MODE
Press repeatedly toswitch the video output modes.
A-MODE Press to switchthe audio output mode between 5.1CHANNELS OUTPUT and
STEREO OUTPUT.
ZOOM Press this buttonto zoom in/out the scene. The available zoomratios are 1/2X,
1/3X, 1/4X, 2X,3X and 4X. In zoomed-in mode,the direction keys can be used to
move the zoomingcenter.(Note: Applies to DVD,VCD, etc).
Press to deletethe inputs in program menu.
