Usage Notice
Precautions
Follow all warnings, precautions and maintenance as recom-
mended in this user’s guide to maximize the life of your unit.
■ Warning- This apparatus must be earthed.
■ Warning- Do not look into the projector’s lens when the
lamp is on. The bright light may hurt your eyes.
■ Warning- To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not
expose this projector to rain or moisture.
■ Warning- Please do not open or disassemble the projector
as this may cause electric shock.
■ Warning- When replacing the lamp, please allow unit to
cool down, and follow all replacement instruc-
tions..
■ Warning- This projector will detect the life of the lamp
itself. Please be sure to change the lamp when it
shows warning messages.
■ Warning- Reset the “Lamp Counter Reset” function from
the on-screen display “Options|Lamp Settings”
menu after replacing the lamp module (refer to
page 32).
■ Warning- When switching the projector off, please ensure
the cooling cycle has been completed before
disconnecting power. Allow 120 seconds for the
projector to cool down.
■ Warning- Do not use lens cap when projector is powered
on.
■ Warning- Turn on the projector rst and then the signal
sources.
■ Warning- When the lamp reaches the end of its life, it will
burn out and may make a loud popping sound.
If this happens, the projector will not turn back
on until the lamp module has been replaced. To
replace the lamp, follow the procedures listed
under “Replacing the Lamp”.

Usage Notice
■ Warning- Allowing the proper amount of space on the
top, sides, and rear of the projector cabinet is
critical for proper air circulation and cooling of
the unit. The dimensions shown here indicate the
minimum space required. If the projector is to be
built into a compartment or similarly enclosed,
these minimum distances must be maintained.

SIDE and TOP REAR
■ Warning- Avoid positioning the projector as described
below when installing.
Do not roll the projector more than 9 degrees
from side to side.
Do not pitch the projector more than 15 degrees
from above and below.
Do not point the projector up to project an im-
age.
Do not point the projector down to project an
image.
Do not put the projector on either side to project
an image.

Usage Notice
Do:
■Turn off the product before cleaning.
■Use a soft cloth moistened with mild detergent to clean the
display housing.
■Disconnect the power plug from AC outlet if the product is not
being used for a long period of time.
Do not:
■Block the slots and openings on the unit provided for ventila-
tion.
■Use abrasive cleaners, waxes or solvents to clean the unit.
■Use under the following conditions:
- Extremely heat, cold or humidity.
- In areas susceptible to excessive dust and dirt.
- Near any appliance generating a strong magnetic eld.
- In direct sunlight.

Introduction
Remote Control
1 Infrared trans-
mitter
Sends signals to the projector.
2IMAGE Select the Image mode from Presen-
tation, Bright, Movie, sRGB, Black-
board, Classroom, User1 and User2.
3ON/STAND-
BY
Refer to the “Power On/Off the Pro-
jector” section. (See pages 14~15)
4 COMPUTER Press “COMPUTER” to choose Com-
puter in/Component in connector.
5 FREEZE Pause the screen image. Press again to
resume the screen image.
6ENTER Conrm your section of items in sub
menu operation.

Remote Control Battery Installation
Press rmly and slide
the battery cover off.

Install new battery into the
compartment.

Remove the old Lithium
coin cell and install new
one (CR2025). Ensure
that the side with a “+”
is facing up.
To ensure safe operation, please observe the following precautions :
■Use CR2025 type battery.
■Avoid contact with water or liquid.
■Do not expose the remote control to moisture or heat.
■Do not drop the remote control.
■ If the battery has leaked in the remote control, carefully wipe the case clean and
install new battery.
■Risk of an explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
■Dispose of used battery according to the instructions.

Powering On the Projector
1. Ensure that the power cable and signal cable are securely
connected. The POWER LED will turn red.
2. Remove the lens cap. 
3. Turn on the lamp by pressing “ON/STAND-BY” on the
control panel or the remote control. The POWER LED will
ash blue.
The startup screen will display in approximately 5 seconds.
When disappear startup screen, the POWER LED will turn
blue.
4. Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player,
etc.) The projector will detect your source automatically.
If you connect multiple sources at the same time, use the
“INPUT” on the remote control or use “COMPUTER”, “S-
VIDEO”, “VIDEO” on the remote control to switch inputs.

Powering Off the Projector
1. Press the “ON/STAND-BY” to turn off the projector lamp,
you will see a message as below on the on-screen display.
2. Press the “ON/STAND-BY” again to conrm.
3. The cooling fan continues to operate for about 120 seconds
for cooling cycle and the POWER LED will ash blue. When
the light stop ashing and turn red, the projector has entered
standby mode.
If you wish to turn the projector back on, you must wait
until the projector has completed the cooling cycle and has
entered standby mode. Once in standby mode, simply press
“ON/STAND-BY” to restart the projector.
4. Disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet and the
projector.
5. Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power
off procedure.

Warning Indicator
When the “POWER” LED indicator ashes red (1 sec on, 1
sec off), it indicates the projector has overheated. The projec-
tor will automatically shut itself down.
When you see the message below displays on-screen, the
projector has detected that the lamp is approaching its end
of life. Please change the lamp as soon as possible or contact
your local dealer or our service center.
When the “POWER” LED indicator ashes red (0.5 sec on, 2
secs off) and the message below displays on-screen, it indi-
cates the fan failed. Stop using the projector and disconnect
the power cable from the electrical outlet, then contact your
local dealer or our service center.

Adjusting the Projected Image
Adjusting the Height of Projector Image
The projector is equipped with adjustable feet to raise and lower
the image to ll the screen.
To raise/lower the image:
1. Use  to ne-tune the display angle.
You can raise the
projector front up to 3.7

Focus Ring
Adjusting the Projector Zoom and Focus
You may turn the zoom ring to zoom in or out. To focus the im-
age, rotate the focus ring until the image is clear. The projector
will focus at distances from 3.94 to 39.36 feet (1.2 to 12.0 meters)
with mechanical travel.

User Controls
The Projector has a multilingual On Screen Display that allows
you to make image adjustments and change a variety of set-
tings. The projector will automatically detect the source.
How to operate
1. To open the OSD, press “MENU” on the Remote Control.
2. When OSD is displayed, use keys to select any item in the
main menu. While making a selection on a particular page, press
key to enter sub menu.
3. Use keys to select the desired item in the sub menu and
adjust the settings by key.
4. If the setting has icon, you could press “ENTER” to enter an-
other sub menu. Press “MENU” to close the sub menu after adjust-
ment.
5. After adjusting the settings, press “MENU” go back to the main
menu.
6. To exit, press “MENU” again. The OSD will be closed and the pro-
jector will automatically save the new settings.
On Screen Display
If no button operation
is made for 30 seconds,
the OSD will be closed
automatically.
