Die Heilkraft des Meeres können Sie jetzt ganz einfach überall
für Ihre Gesundheit und Ihr Wohlbefinden nutzen. salivent®
garantiert Ihnen eine wirksame Inhalation zur Therapie und
Prophylaxe im Bereich der oberen, mittleren und unteren
Atemwege. Bitte lesen Sie die nachfolgenden Informationen
gründlich, damit Sie beste Erfolge mit Ihrem salivent® Aerosol
Inhalator erzielen: Aufatmen wie am Meer.
Anwendungsgebiete:
Der salivent® Aerosol Inhalator wird zum Inhalieren von heil-
salzhaltigen mikrofeinen Aerosolen eingesetzt, um die Atmung
betroffener Patienten bei folgenden Erkrankungen zu erleichtern:
Erkältungskrankheiten, wie Schnupfen, Husten, Heiserkeit
und den damit verbundenen Entzündungen im Nasen-
und Rachenraum
Asthma, Bronchitis und andere (chronische) Krankheiten der
oberen bzw. unteren Atemwege
Allergien gegen Hausstaub und Pollen sowie gegen hohe
Schmutz- und Staubbelastungen
Vermehrte Schleim- und Krustenbildungen in der Nase und
den damit einhergehenden Nasenverstopfungen
Für ein optimales Ergebnis atmen Sie während des gesamten
Inhalationsvorganges ruhig ein und aus (einatmen über die
Maske, ausatmen in die Umgebungsluft). Dies ist wichtig, damit
die Soleverneblung, also die inhalierte Atemluft, die tiefsten
Alveolen (mikrofeinste Lungenverästelungen) Ihrer Bronchien,
erreichen kann.
Gelöstes Sekret sollte unbedingt abgehustet werden.
Sie können auch gern kleinere Pausen zwischen den einzelnen
Inhalationen bzw. Atemzüge einlegen.

Warum funktioniert der salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator so gut?
Seit langem ist belegt, dass das Inhalieren von Salzlösungsdampf
(Aerosol) den Heilungsprozess aktiv unterstützt. Aerosolpartikel
sind salzhaltige Mikropartikel, wie sie etwa an der See bei Wind-
stärke 10 entstehen bzw. vorkommen. Das eingeatmete Aerosol
regt die Schleim- bzw. Sekretbildung an, wodurch das Abhusten
vereinfacht und ein natürlicher Selbstreinigungsmechanismus
des Körpers stimuliert wird. Ein weiterer positiver und wertvoller
Effekt von Salz ist seine entzündungshemmende Wirkung.
Wozu dienen die Löcher und der drehbare Ring?
Die Löcher regulieren die Belüftung. Je mehr die Löcher geöffnet
sind, desto einfacher ist die Inhalation. Eine praktische Hilfestel-
lung, besonders für lungenschwache Menschen wie Kinder, Ältere
oder akut Erkrankte.
Wie lange und wie oft sollte ich inhalieren,
um eine Verbesserung zu spüren?
Je nach Erkrankung kann und sollte man mindestens 2-3mal pro
Tag inhalieren. Sie können das Gerät aber so oft nutzen wie sie
möchten, eine Überdosierung ist nicht möglich.
Dürfen Kinder den salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator benutzen?
Ja, es ist ein sehr kinderfreundliches Gerät, da es keine Geräusche
abgibt, handlich ist und an jedem Ort angewendet werden kann.
Die Maske ist für Kinder ab 4 Jahren geeignet.
Können auch andere Salze inhaliert werden?
Im Prinzip schon, solange es Lebensmittel geeignet ist. Für einen
optimalen Heilungsprozess empfehlen wir aber das von uns
beigepackte Salz. Die Körnergröße und Art des Salzes sind die
entscheidenden Vorraussetzungen für eine 100%ige Wirkung.
Warum sehe ich keinen Dampf?
Es handelt sich nicht um einen elektrischen Verdampfer, aus dem
Dampf herausströmt, sondern um eine selbstaktive Inhalation,
d.h. erst durch die eigene Kraft der Lungentätigkeit entfaltet das
Gerät seine Wirkung.

Reinigen Sie Ihren salivent® Aerosol Inhalator gründlich vor
jeder Anwendung, auch vor der ersten Nutzung.
Abb. 1 Schrauben Sie den Schraubdeckel vom Gehäuse ab.

Schwammes nun gleichmäßig mit der beigefügten salivent®
Meersalzportion (ca. 3g) bestreuen, so dass das Salz gut anhaf-
ten und sich später auflösen kann.
Abb. 3 Alternative Dosierung:
Füllen Sie mittels der beigefügten Dosierhilfe, die große Abfül-
lung für die Wassermenge und die kleine Abfüllung für das
Salz in den Aluminiumbehälter, dann stülpen Sie den trockenen
Schwamm vorsichtig auf das Saugrohr.
Abb. 4 Schrauben Sie den Schraubdeckel mit dem aufgesetzten
Schwamm auf das Gehäuse und verschließen ihn handfest.
Abb. 5 Setzen Sie die Atemmaske auf den Schraubdeckel.
Abb. 6 Schließen Sie den salivent® Aerosol Inhalator an das
Stromnetz an, nach 20-30 Minuten ist das Gerät auf ca. 38° Cel-
sius erwärmt und ermöglicht Ihnen ein angenehmes Einatmen
bei Körpertemperatur.
Abb. 7 Stellen Sie die Größe der Atemlöcher durch Drehen am
Ventilring auf Ihren persönlichen Bedarf und Ihr Wohlbefinden
ein.
Abb. 8 Inhalieren Sie nun 30-45 Minuten lang die wohltuende
heilsalzhaltige Atemluft durch den Mund und/oder Nase, beides
ist möglich. Atmen Sie in die Umgebungsluft aus.

Wichtig! Allgemeine Hinweise zu
Hygiene und Reinigung
Wir empfehlen, das Gerät nach jeder Anwendung zu reinigen.
Geben Sie hierzu Schwamm, Atemmaske und Schraubdeckel 1-2
Minuten in kochendes Wasser. Bakterielle Keime und Verunreini-
gungen werden so abgetötet.
Setzen Sie die Atemmasken personenbezogen ein!
Das Gehäuse mit dem Aluminiumbecher für 1-2 Minuten mit
kochendem Wasser auffüllen und dann ausgießen. Nicht unter
fließendem Wasser abspülen oder in die Spülmaschine geben.
Nach erfolgter Nutzung und Reinigung des Gerätes alle Teile
(besonders den Schwamm) trocknen lassen.
NIEMALS FEUCHT VERPACKEN!
Hinweis!
Während der Inhalation kommt es physikalisch bedingt zu einer
Rekristallisation der Salzkristalle an Atemmaske, Schraubdeckel
und im Aluminiumbecher des Gehäuses.
Dies führt zu keiner Gefährdung für den Anwender und stellt
keinen Mangel am Gerät dar. Während des Reinigungsvorgan-
ges können diese Ablagerungen problemlos beseitigt werden.
Um die Bildung und damit die Wirksamkeit der Aerosole dauer-
haft zu gewährleisten empfehlen wir, die Applikationsteile, insb.
die Schwämme, nach ca. 100 Anwendungen zu erneuern.
Bei Bedarf können Sie weitere Atemmasken und Schwämme
bestellen.
Wir liefern Ihnen gern auch das beigefügte salivent® Meersalz,
dass wir in 20’er Gebinden anbieten.
Dosierung und Dauer der Anwendung
Inhalieren Sie so oft und lange Sie möchten, ohne dass es zu
bekannten Beschwerden kommt.
Die Anwendung

Empfehlung, um den Wirkungsgrad aufrecht zu erhalten
bzw. zu gewährleisten:
1. Verwenden sie bei jeder Anwendung einen Portionsbeutel
salivent® Meersalz (ca. 3g.).
2. Halten Sie den Schwamm zur Vorbereitung der Anwendung
feucht, nicht tropfnass.
3. Das aufgewärmte Gerät ca. 30 Minuten (max. 60 min.) an-
wenden.
4. Führen Sie intermittierende Anwendungen durch, legen Sie
Zwischenpausen während der Inhalation ein.
5.
Inhalieren Sie 2-3 x pro Tag über eine Zeitraum von 2-3 Tagen.

Was Sie sonst noch wissen sollten
Aufgrund der gesetzlichen Vorschriften für Medizinprodukte
müssen wir Sie auf Folgendes hinweisen:
1. Der salivent® Aerosol Inhalator darf nur für den in der
Bedienungsanleitung genannten Verwendungszweck eingesetzt
werden.
2. Bei medizinisch-technischen Geräten mit elektrischen
Anschluss ist zu beachten, dass bei Beanstandungen bzw. Rekla-
mationen der salivent® Aerosol Inhalator nur vom Hersteller
oder eine durch ihn ausdrücklich ermächtigte Stelle instand
gesetzt werden darf.
3. Für Schäden, die durch Fehlbedienung oder Nichtbeachten
dieser Hinweise und/oder durch die Verwendung von Teilen
und Zubehör, die nicht aus unserem Programm stammen, ent-
stehen, übernehmen wir keine Haftung.
Sollten Sie ausnahmsweise einen Grund zur Beanstandung
haben, so wenden Sie sich bitte an unseren Kundendienst.

Der salivent® Aerosol Inhalator entspricht allen Normen und
Richtlinien, die zur Zeit für die Produktion und den Betrieb des
Gerätes maßgeblich bestimmend und zutreffend sind.
Unsere Produkte haben das Werk in sicherheitstechnisch ein-
wandfreiem Zustand verlassen. Um diesen Zustand zu erhalten,
müssen beim Umgang mit dem Gerät (Transport, Lagerung, Ins-
tallation, Inbetriebnahme, Bedienung, Instandhaltung, Außer-
betriebsetzung) der Inhalt dieser Bedienungsanleitung und
die auf dem Gerät angebrachten Typschilder beachtet werden,
andernfalls können Personen gefährdet und das Produkt selbst
sowie andere Einrichtungen beschädigt werden. Diese Sicher-
heitshinweise gelten in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Bei der Verwendung in anderen Ländern sind die einschlägigen
nationalen Regeln zu beachten. Sollten die Informationen dieser
Bedienungsanleitung nicht ausreichen, können Sie jederzeit un-

Bitte prüfen Sie die Verpackung und reklamieren Sie eventu-

Gerät keine Beschädigungen aufweist. Im Zweifelsfall
ziehen Sie eine Elektrofachkraft zu Rate oder setzen Sie sich

Vor der Inbetriebnahme prüfen Sie bitte, ob die Netzspan-

des Gerätes mit der Netzversorgung Ihres Landes iden-
tisch ist.
Das Gerät regelmäßig auf Schäden am Kabel, Stecker, Ge-
häuse und anderen Teilen überprüfen!
Bei einem Schaden darf das Gerät bis zur vollständigen Re-
paratur nicht mehr verwendet werden!
Reparaturen dürfen nur von dazu autorisiertem Personal
durchgeführt werden. Wenden Sie sich bitte an die unten
genannte Adresse.
Vor einer Reinigung: Netzstecker ziehen! Für die Außenrei
nigung verwenden Sie ein leichtes Reinigungsmittel mit
einem feuchten Tuch. Niemals tropfnass reinigen!

tions thoroughly to achieve the best success with your

Aerosol Inhalator: Breathe easily like being at the seaside.
Range of Applications:
The
salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator is used to inhale saline micro-
fine aerosols in order to ease the breathing of the patients
affected by the following illnesses:
colds, such as head colds, coughs, hoarseness and the asso
ciated inflammation of the nose and throat
asthma, bronchitis and other chronic illnesses of the upper
and lower respiratory tracts
allergies to house dust and pollen, as well as extreme dirt-
and dust exposure
heavy mucus- and crust formation in the nose and the
associated obstruction of the nasal passages.
To achieve optimal results calmly breathe in and out during the
whole inhalation process (inhale with the mask, exhale into the
ambient air). This is important to enable the sole mist, i.e. the
inhaled breathing air to reach the deep alveolar capillaries of
the bronchia.
Loosened secretion should be coughed out by all means.
You are free to take small breaks between individual
inhalations and/or breaths.

Why does the salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator function so well?
It has been known for a long time that the inhalation of saline
vapour (aerosol) supports the healing process actively. Aerosol
particles are saline micro-particles, as they occur at the seaside
at wind force 10. The inhaled aerosol stimulates the forming of
mucus and secretion, simplifying coughing up and accelerating
the natural self-cleaning mechanisms. A further positive effect
of salt is its anti-inflammatory effect.
What are the holes and the rotatable rings for?
The holes control the air supply. The more holes are open, the
easier it is to inhale. Convenient for persons with weak lungs
such as children, the elderly or ill persons.
How long and how often should I inhale in order to feel better?
Depending on the illness we recommend to inhale at least 2-3
times per day. You may of course use the inhalator as often as
you wish - overdose is not possible.
Is the
salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator allowed for use on children?
Yes, the device is suitable for children, as no noise is emitted, it
is handy and can be used in any place. The mask expands to fit
faces aged 4 and above.
Is it possible to inhale other salts?
Generally yes, as long as they are food-grade. For optimal
healing however we recommend the salt provided with the
inhalator. Grain size and type of salt are crucial conditions for
100 % effect.
Why can‘t I see any steam?
The inhalator is no electric evaporator from which steam
evaporates but a self-active inhalation, i.e. the effect develops
through the own power of the lung activity.

Important! General Information on
Hygiene and Cleaning
We recommend the cleaning of the device after every use. For
this, put the sponge, respiratory mask and screw cap for 1 to 2
minutes into boiling water. Bacterial germs and contamination
will be killed in this way.
Ensure the individual-related use of the respiratory masks!
Fill up the housing with the aluminum beaker with boiling
water and leave to set for 1-2 minutes before pouring it out.
Do not rinse it under running water or placing it in the dish-
washer. After use or cleaning of the device leave all compo-
nents (especially the sponge) to dry.
NEVER PACK IT WHEN STILL WET!
Note!
During inhalation, salt crystals are formed in the respiratory
mask, screw cap and aluminum beaker for physical reasons.
This presents no risk to the user and no defect at the inhalator.
These deposits can be easily removed during cleaning.
To ensure formation and thereby the effectiveness of the aero-
sols, we recommend the replacement of the application parts,
in particular the sponges after approx. 100 applications.
If required you can order further respiratory masks and sponges
from us.
We can also supply the
salivent
®
sea salt which is provided in
units of 20 portions.
Dosage and Duration of the Application
You can inhale as often and for as long as you wish, without
any known disorders occurring.

The Application
However, to maintain and ensure the degree of efficiency we
recommend:
1. to use a portion of
salivent
®
sea salt (ca. 3 gr.) for every
new application
2. to keep the sponge damp, not dripping wet, when preparing
the application
3. to use the warmed-up device for approx. 30 minutes,
(maximum 60 minutes)
4. to carry out an intermittent application, i.e. have breaks
between inhalations
5. to carry out inhalations 2-3 daily over a period of 2-3 days

What else you should know
Due to the legal regulations for medical products we must point
out the following:
1. The salivent® Aerosol Inhalator is only to be used for the
purpose defined in the operating instructions.
2. For medical-technical equipment with electrical connection
please note that in case of complaints the salivent® Aerosol
Inhalator may only be repaired by the manufacturer or an
authorised body.
3. We assume no liability for damages caused by improper use
or non-observance of these instructions and/or by the use of
parts and accessories which do not originate from our product
range.
If you have a reason for complaint, please contact our customer
service.

Warning
The salivent
®
Aerosol Inhalator complies with all relevant
standards and guidelines in force at the time of production and
selling. Our products have left the factory in a perfect condition.
In order to maintain this condition the contents of this packing
insert and the model plate on the inhalator must be complied
with when handling this inhalator (transport, storage, installa-
tion, initial operation, application, servicing and closing-down),
otherwise persons could be injured and the product and other
equipment damaged. This safety-related information is only
valid in the Federal Republic of Germany.
When used in other countries the relevant national rules are
applicable. If the information in this packing insert is too lim-
ited, you can contact the manufacturer at all times under the
address given.
Please check the packing and complain immediately about
any damage.
Check before using the inhalator for the first time that it is
not damaged. If in doubt, go to an electrical specialist
for advice or contact the address given below.
Before using for the first time check if the system voltage of
the inhalator is identical with the mains supply of your country.
Regularly check the inhalator for damage to the cable, plug,
housing and other parts!
If the inhalator is damaged, it is not to be used until it has
been completely repaired!
Repairs are only allowed to be carried out by authorised
personnel. Please contact the address given below.
Unplug it before cleaning! For external cleaning use a mild
cleaning agent with a damp cloth. Never clean dripping wet!
