Grooming Rake

ROLLER / TOOL CARRIER - BRT
The artificial surface grooming rake is a small but effective machine to carry out
routine maintenance on artificial playing surfaces with a sand base. The tworows
of staggered spring tines tease through the playing surface to remove any
surface compaction and aid drainage.
A weight tray is incorporated into the design so that top weight may be added to
aid penetration on heavily compacted surfaces. The trailing brush will level and
groom the play area; having completed the operation the play area will be in a
ready state for many hours of hard use.
Each working row of tines may be lifted out of work individually to suit your
grooming requirements, i.e. lift out of work the two spring tine rows and leave the
brush in work.
This Simple grooming unit may be towed behind 13 hp tractors and above.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•Never leave your grooming rake where someone could trip or walk into
it.
•Always make sure that the rake is firmly fixed to the towing vehicle when
in use.
•Never allow people to ride on the frame.
•Be aware of your surroundings and do not use the rake in close
proximity to other people.
•Do not travel at speeds which would allow the unit to bounce.
•Do not turn sharply at the end of a row, take a wide turning arc.
•Never reverse the unit with the tines or brush in contact with the ground.

OPERATION
The ASR2 unit has a steel cable which can be used to raise the tines from the
ground. This cable can be attached to the cleat on the tow bar to secure it whilst
travelling to and from the storage area. Make sure the two rakes and brush bar
are in the ‘up’ position.
For use:
1. For rakes only (make sure the transport cable is released). Lower the
rakes into the working position. Pull out the spring-loaded catch, holding
the correct position, allow the spring bolt to return to secure the rake
2. To use the brush - lower as for the rakes.
3. To use only the brush –raise the two rows of rakes.
4. The incorporated weight tray can hold 25kg (55lbs) of top weight.
WARRANTY
Your Artificial Surface Grooming Rake is guaranteed for 12 months from the date
of purchase. This guarantee covers faults which may occur from defective parts
or manufacture.
Damage caused by inability to follow instructions will void warranty.
