SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For the prevention of accidents during machine operation safety precautions must always
be observed.
Ensure that the machine has a proper location, namely, a level floor, adequate lighting
and a dry environment.
Install the machine as described in the operating instructions. Ensure that there is an
adequate distance (500 mm) between the machine, moving parts on the machine and
fixed objects such as walls, other machines or stationary equipment, as well as stored raw
materials or stored finished work pieces.
Keep your working area in a neat and orderly condition. Disorder can lead to or be the
cause of a danger of accident, and restricts your areaof movement.
The machine may only be operated by authorised personnel who have been instructed in
the operation of the machine by a responsible person who has been required to give the
instruction and who have read and understood both the operating instructions and these
safety instructions.
Keep other persons, especially children, away from the machine.
Observe the advice as to care and maintenance contained in the operating instructions.
Ensure that the operating controls are kept dry and free from oil and grease.
Work on the electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems may only be carried out by
skilled and trained personnel.
Work on the machine‘s installations may only be carried out by an authorised electrician.
Before first connecting the machine to the power supply check to ensure that the details
relating to voltage and frequency given on the name and specification plate accord with
the available supply.
On no account may safety equipment be removed or rendered inoperative.
Works of installation, maintenance and repair may only be carried out while the machine
is out of operation.
The machine must be disconnected before commencing maintenance or repair work. The
mains lead plug should be withdrawn or the main switch should be switched off (set to “0“)
and secured against being switched on with a padlock.
Further, pressure in the hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, if any, must be released.
Protective equipment which has to be removed for repair or maintenance work may only
be removed after the machine has been disabled. Directly the repair or maintenance work
has been completed the protective equipment must be replaced.
The electric cabinet may only be opened after the power supply has been disconnected.
Adjustments, installations or similar works may only be carried out after the power supply
has been disconnected and the pressure has been released from any hydraulic and
pneumatic systems.
