You have opted for outstanding quality – a quality that results from the carefully selected
components and the use of cutting-edge technologies in the frame and throughout the rest of
the scooter.
On the following pages, we explain the technical features of your SCROOSER. You can find
all the tips and tricks you need for care and maintenance, plus important personal safety
instructions to protect you from accidents and prevent damage to your SCROOSER.
SCROOSER is a lifestyle for pioneers. The SCROOSER is a perfectly streamlined solution to all
your modern urban transport needs.
No fussy details, no rough edges: the SCROOSER is incredibly easy to use and enables
individual riding styles for true explorers.
Its smart technology, including the revolutionary impulse drive, protects people and planet
while remaining hidden from view. The elegant design complements both the SCROOSER’s
rider and the surroundings it passes through.
Every SCROOSER is made by hand to the highest quality standards and individually configured.
You couldn’t ask for more from the future. But you wouldn’t expect any less either.
In short: your SCROOSER is the modern, environmentally friendly way of getting around over
short distances.
To ensure it stays that way, please follow the care and handling instructions in this manual.
Please read this manual carefully, because if you do not adhere to these instructions we cannot
assume liability and you will not be covered under warranty! In cases of doubt, please always
contact a specialist or our service centre with any problems or questions!
The component manufacturers’ instructions that come with the SCROOSER (depending on the
model) form part of this user manual.

SCROOSER-PASS
When vehicles are stolen, they are often recovered by the police. The SCROOSER pass allows
your SCROOSER to be uniquely identified, making it more likely you will get it back. The
SCROOSER pass is also helpful when reporting the theft to your insurance company. Please fill
in the SCROOSER pass as soon as possible and keep it in a safe place.
The 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) can be found on the SCROOSER and on the
certificate of conformity. The model description, model name and service information can be
found in the documentation supplied with the SCROOSER and in this user manual.

1 GENERAL INFORMATION
In combination with the model plate (located under the seat), the vehicle identification number
(VIN) allows the SCROOSER to be uniquely identified. This number can also be found in the
individual vehicle approval (or the “Einzelabnahme”) supplied with the SCROOSER.
The SCROOSER fulfils Directive 2002/24/EC (individual vehicle approval or the
“Einzelabnahme”)* and hence also Directive 97/24/EC, chapter 8, appendices I to III with
regard to electromagnetic compatibility.
SCROOSER warrants that the products are free from material defects or defects in title
according to the statutory provisions. The warranty period for products and goods that are sold
and delivered to customers who are not consumers within the meaning of Sec. 13 German Civil
Code (“BGB”) is, in deviation thereof, limited to one year from delivery of the purchased good.
SCROOSER provides a battery life guarantee (at least 70% of nominal capacity up to a
maximum of 500 charging cycles). The warranty period is limited to six months from the
delivery of the purchased good in accordance with the guarantee provisions in Section 1.4.
This example number is the VIN of the first in the SCROOSER range of vehicles.

All SCROOSER guarantee services are subject to the following guarantee conditions:
- The guarantee granted by SCROOSER does not include labor or transport costs for the conver-
sion. The guarantee is limited to the replacement or the repair of the defective component.
- If a guarantee service is used, this does not result in an extension or a new start of the guaran-
tee period.
- If a component of the same type, size or color is no longer available, SCROOSER is entitled to
use a part that can be considered as a successor to settle the guarantee claim.
- Guarantee services provided by SCROOSER are excluded in the following cases:
- In the case of accidents or consequential damages resulting from accidents, crashes or
other improper handling of the products.
- In case of repairs or repair attempts on the affected component by third parties who are not
authorized by SCROOSER.
- In case of failure to follow instructions for use, improperly mandatory maintenance, impro-
per usage, or excessive overuse of the product.
- In case of removal or making the FIN / VIN unreadable, as well as changes to the original
construction (such as „tuning“) of the SCROOSER product.

2 SAFETY
You must carefully read through the user manual before using the SCROOSER for the first time.
Pay particular attention to the safety instructions. This will help you to familiarise yourself with
your SCROOSER more quickly and to avoid operating errors that could result in accidents or
damage.
Your SCROOSER has been supplied assembled and ready to use. However, before first use you
will need to configure/adjust the SCROOSER as described in the “Getting started” section and
to check that all parts are firmly secured: in particular, the handlebars, lights, saddle and wheel
assemblies.
In this user manual, safety notices and warnings are marked as follows.

Prior to using the scooter, you must carefully read this user manual. You must observe all
instructions given here on how to use the scooter correctly, be in possession of any licence that
is legally required to operate the scooter in the country of use and be aware of and adhere to
the conditions under which the scooter may be used.
The scooter must be left in the same technical condition as supplied by the manufacturer. The
manufacturer cannot accept any liability for damage caused by failure to adhere to applicable
instructions and provisions, by the installation of third-party replacement parts or accessories,
or by repairs that are carried out incorrectly. Unauthorised alterations or the installation of third-
party replacement parts and accessories may invalidate the type approval.
The electronics box (charging and control system) may only be opened up by the manufacturer
of the box.
Only individuals who fulfil the necessary requirements are allowed to ride the SCROOSER.
These requirements are governed by country-specific provisions.
Observe all regional laws and provisions, especially with respect to compulsory insurance.
Please familiarise yourself with country-specific traffic regulations and observe them while
riding the SCROOSER.
Do not carry out any alterations to the SCROOSER other than installing genuine SCROOSER
accessories. Removing original parts and installing replacement parts that are not authorised
by the manufacturer can make the scooter unsafe and result in risk to life and limb as well as
invalidating the type approval.
The SCROOSER’s design allows it to be ridden safely from a sitting position.
Always hold onto the handlebars firmly with both hands while riding the SCROOSER.
Keep out of the blind spots of other road users. Signal your intention well ahead of time before
turning or changing lanes.
Only use lanes that are designated for small motorcycles.
Only one person at a time may ride the SCROOSER; never ride with two or more people.
Do not transport heavy loads on the SCROOSER. You can lose control and sustain an injury.
Avoid riding over obstacles such as kerbs. If they cannot be avoided, ride over them slowly and
carefully.
Always ride your SCROOSER with care and at a speed where you are able to control it. It
is not suitable for racing and jumps. Be cautious and anticipate what is ahead. Be mindful
of passengers and animals whose paths you are crossing. Be polite and considerate when
“scroosing”.
Always use the lights when riding at night or in conditions with low visibility. Only ride during
suitable weather conditions. Do not ride the SCROOSER when there is hard-packed snow or
black ice. Wet or slippery roads increase braking distances and the risk of accidents.
Avoid riding your SCROOSER in heavy rain or through puddles.
Do not be reckless when riding the SCROOSER. The SCROOSER is categorised as a small
motorcycle and you can get hurt if you fall off.
Always use the lights when riding at night or in conditions with low visibility. Only ride during
suitable weather conditions. Do not ride the SCROOSER when there is hard-packed snow or
black ice. Wet or slippery roads increase braking distances and the risk of accidents.
Avoid riding your SCROOSER in heavy rain or through puddles.
The tires have a groove profile, and so you should be careful when riding on wet, sandy or other
slippery surfaces.

On a level surface, the SCROOSER’s broad tires automatically keep it balanced. However,
the SCROOSER can fall over as a result of strong winds or carelessness or when parked on
sloped, uneven or soft surfaces. This can cause injuries to people and animals or damage the
SCROOSER. For this reason, always use the centre stand to park your SCROOSER safely.
In order to avoid accidents, ensure you are clearly visible when riding the SCROOSER: wear
bright or reflective clothing.
Always wear suitable clothing when riding. Ideally, you should also wear a helmet to prevent
injuries. Make sure that you are legally obliged to wear a helmet. For Helmet regulations in

check with your local authorities for the most up to date regulations on helmets).
The wearing of protective clothing is governed by country-specific provisions.
Do not use the charger in extremely dusty or humid conditions.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight (risk of overheating!).
Make sure the charger is adequately ventilated when in use.
Unplug the charger from the mains when it is not in use.
If the charger is broken, do not use it under any circumstances. If you are not completely sure or
have any questions, contact the retailer you purchased your SCROOSER from or get in touch
with the manufacturer directly.
You can find further instructions on the label on the charger (please follow these instructions!).
The charger is only intended for indoor use and must only be connected to a 220–240 V/50 Hz
or 110V power supply.
Only chargers specifically designed to be used with the SCROOSER may be used.
Do not charge any other electronic appliances using the charger supplied with your SCROOSER.
Do not open up the charger under any circumstances.
Never touch the charger or connector with wet hands.
Do not use the charger during thunderstorms.
The charger and battery are not toys and must be kept away from children.
Keep the battery and charger away from children.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight (risk of overheating!).
If the battery is broken, do not use it under any circumstances. If you are not completely sure or
have any questions, contact the retailer you purchased your SCROOSER from or get in touch
with the manufacturer directly.
If you leave your SCROOSER outside after removing the battery to charge, you must protect the
connections from rain, water, moisture and dirt using a weatherproof cover while the battery is
charging.
The SCROOSER battery is fitted with a battery management system (BMS). The BMS prevents
the battery from overcharging or becoming fully depleted. However, you should still check
yourself to ensure that the battery does not become fully depleted. If it is necessary to replace
a battery or charger, only use genuine replacement parts. If you use other replacement parts
or an unsuitable accessory part, there is an increased risk of damage or malfunctions, and all
claims under warranty will be invalidated.
Never open up or carry out repairs on the battery. If the battery casing becomes damaged,
STOP USING THE BATTERY AND REPLACE IT. There is a risk of fire (as a result of short
circuits) or explosions. Opening or tampering with the electrical or mechanical components of
the drive or battery invalidates the warranty.

The SCROOSER is intended to be used by a person sitting on the saddle with a maximum load
of 110 kg on roads.
Please ensure that you have purchased a street-legal version, which will be supplied with an
individual vehicle approval. Other versions may not be ridden on public roads.
Individuals who were born after 1 April 1965 need a Kleinkraftrad-Führerschein (minimum age
15) or other valid driver’s licence. Individuals who were born before 1 April 1965 do not need
a driver’s licence but must be aware of traffic regulations for public roads. Small motorcycle
insurance is also required for use on public roads.
In accordance with the sixth exemption to the German Road Traffic Act (StVO), dated 24 March
1994 (maximum speed 20 km/h), there is no legal obligation to wear a safety helmet or special
protective clothing. However, in the interests of your own safety you should carefully consider
what precautions to take. Please check which insurance cover is required for the version of the
SCROOSER that you have purchased. When operating the SCROOSER on public roads, it is
generally necessary to take out insurance.
