Sea Eagle Warranty
All Sea agle products come standard with a 3 year warranty against any manufacturing defect that begins the date that
your product is delivered. Sea agle will refuse delivery on all packages without a valid return authorization number and
will not be responsible for the shipping or handling charges. To obtain a return authorization number, please contact Sea
agle directly unless you purchased from an authorized dealer/reseller in which case you should contact them for more
information.
Sea agle must inspect equipment in order to determine if there is a defect. In the event that an item must be shipped
back to us for inspection, Sea agle will only reimburse the standard return shipping charge through Fed x, UPS or the
U.S. Post Office at published shipping rates. Retail shipping outlets like The UPS Store will not be reimbursed and you will
be responsible for handling and packing charges.
The Sea agle warranty does not apply to products that are manufactured by Minn Kota or Torqeedo. These products are
covered by their own, respective warranties. Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty of each product for details.
If you received an item damaged, please call the shipping carrier to report damaged merchandise. Do not return damaged
merchandise until it has been inspected by the carrier. Sea agle will be notified by the carrier when they have completed
their inspection and if necessary, Sea agle will arrange for the repair or replacement of damaged merchandise.

Always contact your state boating authorities for information on boating registration and regulations. Most states require
you to register your boat if you are using a motor.*
Upon registration it may be required to provide the Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin.
Purchases made through an authorized dealer or reseller may require for you to contact them directly in order to obtain
this. You may be charged your own state sales tax if you were not charged sales tax at the time of purchase.
Registered boats generally require for the registration number to be applied to the boat. We do not recommend the use of
decals or stickers as they tend to crack and peel over time with the repeated inflation and deflation of your Sea agle.
Instead we suggest applying these numbers to a small piece of hard plastic or marine plywood and hanging it from your
boat like a license plate if permitted by your state. Another method is to apply the numbers to the hull using either PVC
based paint or permanent marker.

quality inflatables, we’re confident that you are going to love your Sea
agle and we’re ready to proudly stand behind them.

In a manual of this type it is impossible to give adequate space to the topic of water safety. For further information on
boating safety, visit USCGBoating.org or enroll in one of the excellent water safety courses provided.
It is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with all relevant safety regulations. For all water recreation or sport you
should have a reasonable swimming ability. Just as swimmers have a cardinal rule about not swimming alone, it is
strongly advised that you should never go boating alone. As a safety reminder, each Sea agle hull has a list of sugges-
tions printed on it for you to follow that we call Boating Safety Basics.
Boating Safety Tips
• Always wear a USCG approved PFD (life vest) at all times while on the water.
• Be aware of your local boating rules and regulations and abide by them accordingly.
• Check inflation levels each time before you go out and inflate your boat for a full 24 hours before undertaking long trips.
• DO NOT allow children to use Sea agle unsupervised.
• DO NOT consume alcohol while boating or operating a boat while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• DO NOT smoke inside of your Sea agle
• DO NOT drag your Sea agle over rocks or gravel if it can be avoided.
• DO NOT exceed the certified maximum capacities of this boat under any circumstance.
• DO NOT go boating alone. Always tell someone where you are going to be boating and what time you plan to return.
• DO NOT use compressors, CO2or compressed air for inflation, only use Sea agle recommended pumps.
• DO NOT use your Sea agle Boat as a personal flotation device as they are designed for leisure/recreation in mind.
• DO NOT sleep inside of your Sea agle while on the water.
Safety Equipment
The type of water conditions you are on should determine the type of safety equipment that you should have on board.
For all types of boating we strongly recommend that every passenger wear a USCG approved PFD (personal flotation de-
vice) like a life vest. In most places this is a requirement by law, but from our point of view it is also an exercise of good
judgment to have a PFD for all passengers
Important Safety Items
Drinking Water & Snacks: Bring a good amount of drinking water for all passengers to prevent dehydration, especially
on warm and hot days.
First Aid- it: Be sure to carry a kit that reflects the possible dangers for the conditions you are in.
Manual Pump/Repair it: Although our boats are both durable and rugged, it may be possible that you need to make a
repair while on the water in which case you’ll need the repair kit and a manual pump to re-inflate the boat. If this is your
first repair, you may also want to bring this instruction manual with you.
Sun/Rain Protection: A hat can protect both your face and head from the rain or sun. You may also want to carry sun-
screen with you as both the sun and the sun’s reflection from the water can do serious damage to your skin. If you are out
for prolonged periods of time you may need to reapply sunscreen as needed. It is also a good idea to store extra clothes
and layers in a dry bag so that they’re not damp in case of an emergency or if weather conditions change at a moments
notice.
Whistle: Having a whistle readily available to you in case of emergency is a great way to attract the attention of others if
assistance is needed.
Float Plan: Similar to a pilot’s Flight Plan, consider having a Float Plan (www.floatplancentral.org). Always tell someone
where you are going to be boating and what time you plan to return. Keep a cell phone in a waterproof container that will
float if it falls in the water.

SAFETY
SAFETY

There are a few basic things you should consider before venturing out in your Sea agle 9 (S -9).
CAMPING & FISHING
Often the best fishing spots are the ones that are the most difficult to reach and won’t have a ramp or roadway leading
down to the water. This makes the S -9 ideal for both camping and fishing as it’s lightweight, making it easy to carry and
able to be launched from just about anywhere.
MOTORING
Unlike many boats, the S -9 works great will small electric and gas motors as there is less drag so it motors smooth
across the water. If your S -9 is equipped with a motor mount, you can use an electric motor (minimum 30” shaft, up to 74
lbs. thrust) or gas motor (15” short shaft, 2HP/35 lbs MAX).
Under no circumstance should you equip the boat with a motor that exceeds any of these capacities.
Not only can this damage your Sea Eagle, it also puts you and others in danger.
Exceeding the boat capacities in any way will void your Sea Eagle Manufacture’s Warranty.
Gas Motors: Measured in units of horsepower (HP) gas motors are generally built with power, range and speed in mind.
The S -9 can be equipped with a gas engine up to 2HP, weighing no more than 35 lbs. The shaft length of the motor
should be 15” and is generally considered to be a “short shaft”.
Electric Motors: lectric motors are measured in units of thrust and are slower and quieter on the water than gas motors,
making them ideal for fishing. There is no direct correlation of thrust to horsepower although most consider traditional
electric motors to be about a 1HP (which is more of a guess than an approximation).
lectric motors are generally lighter in weight and easier to maintain than gas motors. You can use anything from 30 lbs of
thrust to the maximum of 74 lbs. of thrust and the shaft length can be anywhere from 26” to 42”. In order to operate an
electric motor you will need a 12V deep cycle marine battery, a battery charger and a battery power center to house the
battery is recommended as you should never directly connect the motor to the battery.
Minn ota & WaterSnake products sold by Sea Eagle come with a warranty direct from the manufacture.
All warranty work is handled directly by the respective manufacturer and all sales of these products are final.
It is strongly advised that you read all printed materials provided by the manufacturer.
ROWING
You may be surprised at how easy it is to row your Sea agle. When rowing your S -9, use the inflatable seat in the bow
of the boat, this will give you a lower rowing position and the bow of the boat will provide you with back support. Place the
oars through the blue carry handles on the sides of the boat which double as oarlocks. Be sure to check over your shoul-
der frequently to avoid any obstacles or obstructions and be aware of the conditions you are rowing in.
Stay alert to any obstacles and dangers that you might encounter (i.e. buoys, docks, moored boats, motor boats, sail
boats, waves, weather, lightning, rain, etc). Give right of way to both motor boats and sailboats. If you are new to rowing,
we suggest that you practice rowing near the shore before venturing out further into open waters.

One-Way Air Valve
Locate the five white
valves that come in a
bag packed with the
boat. This bag also
contains the Inflation
Monitor which will b
needed later.
Lay out the boat and
place the retainer rings
over the valve bases.
Stretch the rings if they
are too tight to fit over-
the base.
Screw the valves into
the bases. Be sure to
tighten firmly for a good
seal. Repeat valve in-
stallation for the floor
and optional inflatable
seats. For floor and
seats, adjust the blad-
der so the valves are
centered in their open-
ings.
Foot Pump
Unclip the pump by
pressing the halves to-
gether. Connect the
hose to the port marked
INFLAT .
Select the short round
adapter which is teth-
ered to the end of the
hose. Push the end
with the ears into the
hose and twist to lock.
Included with the
valves and repair kit is
a clear plastic “Inflation
Monitor”. This 10cm
scale is used to deter-
mine when the boat
has sufficient air.
Chambers 1 and 3
have the scale printed
on them for comparison
with the Inflation Moni-
tor.
Floor Drains
Two drains with
threaded caps are lo-
cated under the inflat-
able floor. They can be
used to drain the boat if
it becomes filled with
rainwater. Tighten them
before inflating floor.
Air compressors that
are designed for other
uses like tire inflation
(usually around 50 PSI)
can easily harm your
Sea agle which has a
much lower working
pressure. It’s for this
reason we recommend
only using Sea agle
electric pumps.

MB-80 Electric Pump
(OPTIONAL)
The MB-80 electric
pump inflates the S -9
in a matter of minutes.
This electric pump
works using the 12V
power outlet in your car
or with the optional,
Minn Kota Power Cen-
ter accessory.
First, check that the
pump is switched OFF
before inserting the
power adapter into your
car’s power outlet.
_STOP
Directly insert the pump
(nozzle) into the valve
fill port. Please note the
valve adapters and
black tube that come
with the MB-80 are not
necessary for Sea
agle Boats.
Battery Connector
(OPTIONAL)
You can also power
your MB-80 using the
optional battery con-
nector which will allow
you to use the pump
while connected di-
rectly to a 12V car or
marine battery.
Assembly
Lay the boat out on a
flat area free of haz-
ards. If the package
you purchased includes
only seats and no
motor mount, follow
only the steps below
that apply.
If not installed already,
insert the inflatable
floor with the valve fac-
ing up and the edges
tucked under the sides.
Motor Mount Set
(OPTIONAL)
If you have the motor
mount set, layout the
items as shown here.
This set consists of
two rods with retainer
pins, motor mount
block and mounting
hardware.
Insert the motor mount
bar through the grom-
mets on top of the boat
and through the grom-
met on the bottom. Se-
cure the bottom with
the buttons. Repeat
with the other rod.

WARNING: Always connect the red clip to the positive pole
and the black clip to the negative pole. Cross connecting
wires could damage both the pump and boat.

Place the brackets on
the rods and adjust
them so they are more
or less flat to each
other. Pro Tip: If you
are having difficulty with
this step, turn the
bracket to one side, slip
it on and turn it back.
Attach the wooden
motor mount block to
the brackets using the
hardware provided.
Put the bolts through
bracket, then through
the block, put the wash-
ers on the end of the
bolt.
Thread the threaded
knobs over the
washers. Do not tighten
the knobs until all the
bolts are through the
block.
The heads of the bolts
should be aligned in the
channel on the bracket.
The channel is to keep
the head of the bolt
from turning.
Insert the pins in both
bars in their holes at
the end of the bars.
Use the cord to attach
the pins to the bar for
storage.
Inflate chamber #1.
Insert the hose with the
adapter into the valve.
Use the Inflation Moni-
tor to check the inflation
progress. When done,
the blue Inflation Moni-
tor printed on the boat
should match the black
scale on the plastic In-
flation Monitor.
When done chamber
#1 should look like this.
This is the backup
chamber in the event
that the main chamber
develops a leak.

Inflate (the small)

until it is firm. Inflate-
chamber #3 while mon-
itoring progress with
the Inflation Monitor. In-
flate the floor until firm
like the other cham-
bers.
Inflatable Seats
The inflatable seats are
designed for function
and comfort. Attach the
valves and inflate as
described in the steps
above.
Comfort High Seat
Optimized for operating
a motor, place the high
inflatable seat in the aft
position. The D-rings
can be used to secure
the seat in place. Run a
line or strap under the-
floor and tie off. They
can also be used to
hang items on.
AB-254 Oar Set
Assemble the two
halves. The blade has
a button which locks
into a corresponding
hole in the handle.
The oars are conve-
niently stowed on the
sides of the boat in
clips.
To row your boat using
the AB-254 oar set, use
the blue carry handles
as oar locks. Although
the handle is a snug fit
for the shaft of the oar,
slide the drip ring on
the inside of the boat to
act as a stopper to
keep the shaft in the
oarlock.
Your Sea agle 9 is now assembled and ready to use.

Motor Support Bench
(OPTIONAL)
If you have the optional
Motor Support Bench
(MSB), install it now.
Work it under the bars
and attach the hook
and loop straps.
SPW Wooden Bench
(OPTIONAL)
Untie the hand line that
runs around the boat,
carefully pulling it out.
Run it through the
holes in the seat and
back through to the
rear of the boat. Once
done, re-tie the rope
using a simple over-
hand knot.
Canopy (OPTIONAL)
Lay out the canopy
parts on the floor.
Arrange the canvas top
side up and fold ends
back as shown here.
Position the curved
bars so the locking
holes at the ends are
up. The sleeve with a
window cut-out is the
front.
Push the tube through
the front sleeve until it
shows in the window.
Place the strap loop
over the tube and finish
inserting the tube. In-
sert the other tube in its
sleeve.
Lay the canopy on the
back of the boat with
the front bar on top.
Attach the hardware on
the end of the rod. The
plate goes inboard.
Insert the bolt and
washer from inside. Put
the brass spacer on the
bolt, then rod on the
outside, washer and
black threaded knob.en

Hook the rear straps to

canopy up by the front
strap and clip it to a
rope grommet in the
bow. Adjust the buckles
as needed. Leave the
hardware attached to
the rod when removing

DEFLATION
DEFLATION
Deflation is as easy as
3, 2, 1. Deflate in the
reverse order chamber
3, then 2, then 1, and
finally, the floor! If the
order is reversed, air
will be trapped in
chamber 3, and cham-
ber 1 will then have to
be reinflated.
After unscrewing the
valves, most of the air
should be out, squeeze
out any trapped air.
Make sure you remove
any accessories like
the motor mount and
bench seats. Fold one
side of the boat until it
overlaps the floor.

Pull the other side over
the first until it overlaps
the boat as shown.
A) Fold the aft end over
approximately a third of
the way up the boat.
B) Fold the front of the
boat over the last fold.

CLEANING & PROTECTING
CLEANING & PROTECTING
Water collects under the sides of the floor of the boat. To
drain, loosen the drain valves in the stern of the boat and
elevate the front so water runs down and collects in the
stern. Turn boat over and lift the back so waterspills out.
Towel dry the lowest areas.
Dry after each use to avoid mold. While washing or rins-
ing: close the valves so that water cannot not enter the
chambers. Sea agles can be cleaned very effectively with
general purpose cleaning products and a scrub brush.
Protection from the Sun and Heat
Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight when ashore. Tempera-
tures on a beach, dock, davit, etc., can get very high which
could affect the vinyl or glue.
xcessive exposure to sun and heat can cause your boat
to become sticky or cause the glue to fail. 303 Protector &
3M Marine Cleaner combines cleaning and sun protection.
Aerospace Protectant
(OPTIONAL)
Apply to the vinyl every
3-5 weeks. Protectant
preserves the vinyl and
makes it easier to keep
the Sea agle clean.
Cleaner & Restorer
(OPTIONAL)
3M Marine Cleaner not
only clean various
stains off of your boat, it
also helps restore the
fabric to its original con-
dition.
STORAGE
STORAGE
If you plan to leave your Sea agle outside, keep it raised
off of the ground and covered so it is not exposed to sun-
light, rain, leaves, berries, bird droppings, etc. To avoid
mold, store your Sea agle in a place out of the weather
and not in excessive humidity. Sea agles left on the water
or turned upright will need to be emptied from time to time.
Do not attempt to lift a boat full of water.
STORAGE TIPS
• Check for water in the chambers. Water will leak out of
open valves when it is rolled up.
• Water left inside can cause a lot of mold. Dry thoroughly
to prevent mold.
• Rodent-proof the storage area. Mice, squirrels and other
small rodents can do a lot of damage.
• Avoid excess heat. Do not store in direct sunlight, in an
attic or a metal shed.
• In temperatures below freezing, do not drop, strike or un-
roll until it is brought to room temperature.
• It can be stored inflated. If hung, support it along its
length.
• After storage, inspect for loose items, damage and leaks.

TROUBLESHOOTING
ATTENTION: If your Sea agle is losing pressure, it does
not necessarily mean it is leaking. If it is inflated during the
heat of the day and the temperature drops during the night
it will be softer in the morning.
If launching in very cold water, the air inside may contract
and cause a loss of pressure. Add more air to restore to full
pressure. If temperature is not a factor and your boat is los-
ing air pressure, it’s time to look for a leak.
LOO : Visually inspect the boat close up and if necessary,
flip it over and closely check the outside. Any large leaks
when your boat looses a considerable amount of air should
be clearly visible.
TIGHTEN: Be sure to check the tightness of the one-way
recessed valves as well and if necessary, tighten them with
the valve wrench included in the repair kit canister.
LISTEN: If you have a rough idea of where your leak is but
can’t see it, you may want to try listening for it as you may
be able to hear the air escaping and pinpoint the leak.
SOAP & WATER: Inflate the boat to full pressure. Mix a
couple of tablespoons of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of
water. Spread the soapy water on the leaking chamber with
a large sponge or hand towel. The leak may produce bub-
bles or make whistling or sputtering noises. Often, spray
bottles don’t work.
REPAIRS
REPAIRS
ven though our Sea agles are very rugged and tough,
you may still experience the occasional puncture through
use of your boat. Fortunately most repairs are fairly easy
and only take a few minutes.
For extensive repairs, please contact us directly to provide
you with further assistance. The best way to do this is to e-
mail us a digital photo of the area in question along with
your hull identification number to [email protected].
You can also call us directly at 1-800-748-8066 ex. 314 and
ask to speak with Technical Support for further assistance
or a quote for having your boat mailed to our facilities for
our professional repair services.
Sea agle Repair fees start at $75.00 and does not include
return shipping charges. Please note that Sea agle does
not service any other brand other than our own. All items
sent to our repair facilities must have prior authorization in
the form of a Return Authorization Number.
Repair it
Your Sea agle comes
standard with a repair
kit that includes two 4
in. x 3 in. swatches of-
material and two tubes
of PVC glue.
Pinholes
Trace the outline of the
patch material and cut
using scissors. Trace
the outline around the
effected area of the
boat and coat the patch
and boat with the repair
kit glue.
Wait about 5 minutes or
until the surface of the
glue hazes over then
apply the patch. Do not
apply wet glue to wet
glue. If you have ac-
cess to electricity, heat
the glue with a hair
dryer then apply the
patch. This method pro-
duces the best results.
Mate the patch to the
boat and smooth down
until the patch adheres.
Do not inflate, allow at
least 24 hours to cure
before inflating.

Patching Tips:
The the chamber must be deflated or the air will force a•
path through the glue.
Keep the patch size to a minimum, the bigger the•
patch, the harder it is to seal. The most common repair
failures occur because the patch is too big.
For repairs larger than a puncture, overlap the damage•
area by about ½” on each side.
Do not apply the patch while the glue is wet. •
Covering a leaking patch with another patch rarely•
fixes the problem. To remove a patch, heat it with a hair
dryer and peel it off.
Never use a heat gun on your boat.•
Clamps and weights are not needed.•

Leaking Floor Drains
If you suspect the floor drain valves are leaking they can be
tested by pouring some water in the boat and checking
under the boat for water dripping from the valves.
Flush any sand or debris from the threads. Check where
the caps screw into the floor that the O-rings are smooth
and without dents.
If you see a dent in an O-ring, heat it up with a hair dryer,
and the dent will ease out and return to its original shape.
This also works if the base is bent or misshapen.
