State of the art SATA technology brings breakthrough 3Gb/s performance to
digital video workstations, entry-level servers and desktop systems in a sleek,
durable and stackable external hard drive. This is a complete external SATA (eSATA)
solution that includes an eSATA hard drive and eSATA PCI host adapter card.
• Increased speed of SATA 3Gb/s reduces backup time when compared to
Hi-Speed USB or FireWire 1394.
• Provides optimum performance and capacity for massive data transfers and
real-time video editing.
• Exclusive Native Command Queuing (NCQ) technology maximizes drive
performance.
• The included PCI-to-SATA host adapter card provides ports to connect up
to two high-performance external SATA drives (installation requires accessing
your internal computer components—see manual for detailed instructions).
The eSATA drive will not work with your USB or FireWire ports. If you do not
have an eSATA port on your computer, the provided eSATA PCI host adapter
card must be installed to use the drive.

Basic installation
An eSATA PCI host adapter card is
included with your Seagate eSATA drive in
order to provide the necessary connection between
your computer and the drive. Before using the drive,
please install the PCI card by following the instructions
