instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY
1.1. GENERAL
9It is important to ensure that the lamp is fully charged before initial use.
8DO NOT turn the lamp on when it is being charged.
8DO NOT shine directly into your, another person’s or an animal’s eyes.
8DO NOT allow children to use the lamp.
8DO NOT leave battery in a discharged state. Recharge battery immediately.
Recharge the battery at least once every six months of non-use.
1.2. Electrical safety for use of charger.
9Use only the supplied charger or in-car charger for connecting the lamp to the power supply.
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to read, understand and comply with the following instructions:
9You must ensure the risk of electric shock is minimised by the installation of appropriate safety devices e.g. RCD.
9If the lamp is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable Appliance
Test) tested.
9You must ensure that you inspect the charger plug, cable and connections for wear and damage to ensure items are safe before
connecting them to the mains power supply. If worn or damaged DO NOT use.
WARNING! DO NOT use any other type of charger with this product, other than the supplied mains cable. Failure to observe this
 warningcouldresultininjuryandorre.Theuseofanyothertypeofchargerwillinvalidatethewarranty.
There are no user serviceable components. DO NOT dismantle.
For indoor use only. DO NOT allow the charger to become wet. DO NOT use in wet or damp conditions.
8DO NOT pull the charger plug from the mains socket by the lead.
1.3. Battery safety

9If the electrolyte in the cells gets on your skin, thoroughly wash with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with cool
water and seek immediate medical attention
2. INTRODUCTION
Robust design with built-in spring loaded telescopic mounting brackets. Soft padded hooks provide good protection against the bonnet. An
adjustable light source with 40 SMD LEDs give complete engine bay illumination. Foldable design for easy storage when not in use. Includes
battery level indicator, mains charger and in-car charger.

4. CHARGING
4.1. The battery fitted to this lamp is considered to be a consumable item and its ability to accept charge will reduce over time. We will
warranty it against mechanical and electrical defect for a period of one year, this does not cover fair wear and tear. If the battery is not
properly charged before first use, or regularly conditioned, its capacity will diminish. Under these circumstances we will not replace the
battery even if it is less than one year old.
4.2. Connect the charger into the charge socket on the lamp, see fig.1. Plug into power supply and turn on, the blue charge LED on the lamp
will light as the battery charges. When fully charged the blue LED will turn off.
4.3. When the battery has fully charged (approx 6hrs) Disconnect from mains supply.
Note: The Lithium battery does not suffer from memory effect and once fully charged may be stored for up to six months without another
charge.
5. OPERATION
5.1. Attaching lamp to bonnet.
5.1.1. The lamp will need to be charged before each use.
5.1.2. To charge the lamp, use either the in-car charger, or the mains charger.
5.1.3. Fold the lamp out straight. Place the padded hook at the end of the lamp, over one edge of the bonnet and gently pull the lamp
towards the other side of the bonnet.
5.1.4. Steady the lamp with one hand, whilst extending the hook over the other side of the bonnet.
5.1.5. To use the lamp, select one of the two brightness settings using the switch on the end of the lamp.
5.1.6. When finished, fold up and store the lamp in a safe, dry and childproof location.
6. MAINTENANCE
6.1. Keep lamp clean and check for damage before every use. If damage is observed, remove from use until unit is repaired.
6.2. The battery is not designed to be removed .

Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable)
into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.
WEEE Regulations
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed
of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
