1. SAFETY
1.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
1.1.1. Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and
all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommend that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical
products. You may obtain an RCD by contacting your local Sealey stockist.
1.1.2. If the product is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable
Appliance Test) tested.
Electrical safety information, it is important that the following information is read and understood.
1.1.3. Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
1.1.4. Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure.
Important: Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used and that the plug is tted with the
correct fuse - see fuse rating in these instructions.
8DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable.
8DO NOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable.
8DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors. Ensure that any faulty item is repaired or is
replaced immediately by a qualied electrician.
1.1.5. This product is tted with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug.
1.1.6. If the cable or plug is damaged during use, switch off the electricity supply and remove from use.
1.1.7. Ensure that repairs are carried out by a qualied electrician.
1.1.8. Replace a damaged plug with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug. If in doubt contact a qualied electrician.
a) Connect the GREEN/YELLOW earth wire to the earth terminal ‘E’.
b) Connect the BROWN live wire to the live terminal ‘L’.
c) Connect the BLUE neutral wire to the neutral terminal ‘N’.
Ensure that the cable outer sheath extends inside the cable restraint and that the restraint is tight.
Sealey recommend that repairs are carried out by a qualied electrician.
1.1.9. If an extension reel is used it should be fully unwound before connection. A reel with an RCD fitted is preferred
since any appliance plugged into it will be protected. The cable core section is important and should be at least 1.5mm², but to be
absolutely sure that the capacity of the reel is suitable for this product and for others which may be used in the other output sockets, we
recommend the use of 2.5mm² section cable. S
1.2. GENERAL SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure health & safety, government and local authority regulations relating to the transfer of AdBlue® are adhered to when
using this equipment. Familiarise yourself with the pump’s applications and limitations, and specific potential hazards peculiar to the
pump.
WARNING! These pumps are designed for use with urea and aqueous media only. DO NOT use for petrol or similar explosive liquids.
▲ DANGER: The electric pump is not protected against explosion and should therefore not be operated in areas where there
is a risk of explosion.
WARNING!Disconnect the pump from the mains or battery power before demounting, servicing or performing any maintenance.
9 Maintain pump in good condition (use authorised service agent).Drain pump and pipes before dismantling.
9 Maintain correct balance and footing when installing and using the pump. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non slip shoes.
9 Ensure the transfer area is free of clutter and has adequate lighting.
9 Ensure that the voltage of the pump matches the voltage of the supply.
9Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.
9Replace/repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts. Unauthorised parts are dangerous and will invalidate warranty.
8 DO NOT use the pump without the delivery nozzle attached.
8 DO NOT start or stop the pump by switching on or off at the mains power supply. or disconnecting from battery.
8 DO NOT operate the unit with wet hands.We recommend use of chemical resistant gloves and goggles.
8 DO NOT run the pump dry. If this occurs the pump could be damaged and your warranty will be invalidated.
IMPORTANT: It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all supply pipes, fixtures and fittings are adequate for the safe flow of liquid
urea.

2. INTRODUCTION
Electric 12V or 230V membrane pump specifically designed for the distribution of AdBlue®. Self-priming unit provides a flow rate of up to
40ltr/min. Supplied with 4mtr hose, manual delivery nozzle and battery clips (12V) or BS approved plug (230V). All materials and seals
used in these pumps are suitable for use with AdBlue®.

4. ASSEMBLY
4.1. Attach the feet of the pump unit to a stable surface using 4 suitable screws or bolts (not supplied).
4.2. Remove blanking plugs from suction (g.1.B) and delivery (g1.D) ports and push hoses (gs.1.A and 1.C) onto the connectors, rst
placing a loose hose clip over the hose
NOTE: the ow direction is marked on the pump.
4.3. Tighten the hose clips onto the hoses.
4.4. Immerse the suction strainer in the AdBlue® container.
4.5. Connect to the appropriate electric power supply by means of battery clips (TP9912) or mains plug (TP99230).
5. INSTALLATION
SITE INSTALLATION. It is the responsibility of the owner of the equipment to ensure that the siting of the AdBlue®container and
the installation and operation of the pump is carried out in such a way as to prevent any leakage which could contaminate
water courses or drinking water for people or animals. The owner should liaise with local authorities, health and safety and
water authorities to ensure that the installation is safe.
6. OPERATION
6.1. These pumps, being of positive displacement design,
do not require priming. When rst used, there will be
a slight delay as air is cleared from the system.
6.2. To operate: switch the pump motor on using the
rocker switch above the motor (O=”OFF”, I=”ON”).
The motor will start.
6.3. Place the nozzle in the AdBlue® vessel to be lled
and squeeze the delivery trigger (g.2.A).
6.4. If using the latch (g.2.B), use with care as there is no
automatic cut-off tted to the nozzle.
6.5. When delivery is complete, release the delivery
trigger: delivery will stop but the pump will continue
to run.
6.6. Turn the pump off using the rocker switch.
To avoid damage DO NOT run the pump with no delivery for longer than necessary. IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES run in this state for
more than 3 minutes.
6.7. Store the nozzle so as to prevent spillage of urea into the environment.
7. MAINTENANCE
7.1. The pump has been designed for low maintenance. Should any problems occur return to your Sealey stockist.
7.2. Clean the entire installation and inspect all piping and connections for leaks. Rectify any damage immediately.
7.3. Inspect the lter at the end of the suction tube every time the tank is relled. Clean if necessary.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
