INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, and injury, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let
bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials,
such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and
curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the
heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used
by or near children, pets or invalids and whenever the
heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater by removing the plug end from
the outlet when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or
plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to
authorized service facility for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. Use your heater In dry environments. This heater is not
intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it
may fall into bathtub or other water container. Do not
use your heater outdoors. Do not use near sinks,
swimming pools, or other damp areas such as flooded
basements, garages, etc. or anyplace where the
heater could come in contact with water.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord
away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped
over.
9. To disconnect heater, first turn controls to off, then
remove plug from outlet.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like
a bed, where openings may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do
not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable
liquids are used or stored.
13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any
other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
14. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the
extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
However, if you have to use an extension cord, the
cord shall be No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not
less than 1875 watts. When using an extension cord,
you must fully insert the plug into the extension cord.
Do not use the extension cord if the plug can be
properly connected.
15. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation. To
prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater
into a circuit that already has other appliances working.
16. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch;
however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle)
and plug may cause overheating and distortion of the

plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose
or worn outlet.
17. The output of this heater may vary and its temperature
may become intense enough to burn exposed skin.
Use of this is not recommended for persons with
reduced sensitivity to heat or an inability to react to
avoid burns.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ BEFORE OPERATING
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
PRE-OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS:
• Carefully remove your heater from the box (please
save carton for off-season storage).
• Make sure the unit is in the OFF position before plugging
the heater into the outlet.
• Place heater on a firm level surface.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Plug the power cord into a wall outlet(110-120V
AC,60Hz).
• When the unit is plugged into a electric outlet, the
power indicator light will illuminate to tell you that the
heater is functioning.
• Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to high position.
• Slowly turn thermostat knob counter clockwise until the
heater shuts off. The heater will automatically maintain
this temperature. For a lower temperature, rotate the
knob further counter clockwise. For a higher
temperature, rotate the knob clockwise. Room
temperature is regulated by adjusting the thermostat to
a desired position.
• The unit will operate until the desired temperature has
been reached, after which the unit will turn on and off
to maintain your desired temperature setting.
• 1320 Watt setting provides maximum level heating.
THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTION:
• Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the full HIGH
position. When the room has reached the desired
temperature or comfort level, carefully turn the
thermostat counterclockwise until the heater turns off.
The heater will cycle on and off to maintain that
temperature.
• Room temperature is regulated by adjusting the
thermostat to a desired position.
• The unit will operate until the desired temperature has
been reached. After which the unit will turn on and off
to maintain your desired temperature setting.
• Turning the knob clockwise will increase the
temperature setting.
SAFTEY FEATURES:
AUTOMATIC TIP-OVER SAFETY SWITCH:
The Tip-over safety switch is located inside the cabinet housing.
The tip-over safety switch allows the unit to operate only when
the heater is placed on a level surface. If the heater is tipped
or tilted while in operation, it will automatically shut off.
AUTOMATIC OVERHEAT SAFETY CONTROL DEVICE:
This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically-
advanced safety internal heat limiting thermostat and
overheat protection circuit. When a potential overheat
temperature is reached, the system will automatically shut the
heater off and turn the alert light on.
ALERT INDICATOR LIGHT:
The alert light will turn on when the heater internal temperature
rises to an unsafe level. If this situation occurs, make sure
heater is on a level surface and clear of all obstructions.
Unplug heater and allow it to “cool down” before restarting.
SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit.

CLEANING & MAINTENACE INSTRUCTIONS:
During Season Care:
• Before cleaning, be sure to turn off and unplug the
heater.
• Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please
be very cautious near the motor and heating elements.
• Do not immerse the heater in water
• Never use gasoline, benzene or thinner. This will
damage the surface of the heater.
• After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a
cloth or towel.
After Season Care:
• Store heater in a cool and dry location with power cord
properly secured.
• Please store the unit in its original carton or suitable
container.
