Congure Parking Sensors
Select an IP Address from the list of access points and click
Connect.
Connect to Access Point
Click the TrafcDOT icon to start
the conguration program.
Run TrafcDOT

From the Main window, select a MicroRadar sensor from the
tray. The Sensor Conguration Panel displays on the left.

From the Adv window:
1. Set the Detection Distance by selecting 6 Feet
or 10 Feet from the Change To drop-down list.
2. Set the Autobaseline by selecting Manual from
the Change To drop-down list.
3. Click Apply.
Note: To access the elements in the Adv window,
select Set Advanced Mode from Advanced menu
option.
Set Detection Range
From the Cmds window:
1. Select µD (Parking) from the Change
Mode To drop-down list.
2. Click Set Mode.
Select Sensor Mode
The recommended Adv settings for parking detection are:
• Alternate Sample Rate - Disabled
• Current Sample Rate - 1 Hz
Note: The default Alternate Sample Rate for µD
(Parking) is 1 Hz.
• Detection Distance - 6 Feet or 10 Feet
Note: Do not use 4 Feet for parking detection.
• Autobaseline - Manual
• Noise Margin - 3 dB
Note: Increase Noise Margin if sensor is too sensitive,
and decrease Noise M argin if sensor is too dull.
• Ignore First - 24 inches
• Calc New Baseline - Click
Recommended Adv Settings
The recommended Cmds settings for parking detection are:
• Current Mode - µD (Parking)
• Set to Factory Baseline - Click if receiving false or
no parking detections

Ensure sensor label is visible and
record sensor number. Note: The
clips on the sensor shell prevent the
sensor from oating in the epoxy.
MicroRadar Sensor
Core hole 4” diameter,
2 1/2” depth.
Core
Vacuum or brush hole clear of
debris. Ensure hole is dry.
Clear Debris from Hole
Fill hole with epoxy. Level to
road surface.
Apply Final Epoxy
Allow 5 - 10 minutes to cure. Once
the epoxy is dry, remove the hanging
shell ring for ush mounting.
Installed Sensor
Fill hole with epoxy to half of
sensor height. Ensure sensor is
1/4” or less below surface, level,
label up, and the arcs point in
direction of traffic. Orient and
place sensor in hole.
