ThisChapterprovidesdetailsof the Wireless HD Doorbell
Camera'sfeatures, componentsand capabilities.
Overview
DBC831 isaWiFienabled videodoorbellcamerathatletsyou answer
the doorfromyouriOSorAndroidmobiledeviceno matterwhereyou
areintheworld.Thisdevicefeaturesavideo camera, built-in
microphone andaspeakerthat allowsyou tosee, hearand speakto
yourvisitorsfromasmart phone, tablet orPC. (The customersare
requiredtomaketheirownAPP orserverwhichcan communicatewith
doorbellcamera. Sercommcan support thecustomized API for
development based on customer sdefinition.)
It isalsoan all-in-onecamerathat hasautomaticand manualday/night
switching, PIRsensorand IRillumination,whichcan provide
illumination around3meterslong underlowlight conditionsinasimple,
economicalmanner.
Thisdevice, whichattachestoyourcurrent doorbellwires,iseasy to
installand connectstoyourhomeinternet through WiFi.Whenavisitor
ringsthe doorbell, the devicewillsend an alert toone orseveralpeople
and eachpersoncan accept orignorethecall.

BasicSetup
ThisChapterprovidesdetailson howtoinstall and
configurethe Wireless HD Doorbell Camera.
SystemRequirements
•Tousethe Wireless interfaceon the wireless model, otherWireless
devicesmust be compliant withthe IEEE802.11b, IEEE802.11g,or
IEEE802.11n specifications. AllWireless stationsmust use
compatiblesettings.

Lens Nophysicaladjustment isrequired orpossiblefor

1. WPS. Pushthe WPS button on thedevice

•WPS PBC Mode. When pressed and
released (up to15 seconds),the Wireless
HD DoorbellCamerawillbe inthe WPS
PBCmode (Autolinkmode).
•WPS PinCodeMode. When pressed
andheldfor5-15 seconds, theWireless
HD DoorbellCamerawillbe inthe WPS
PinCode mode.
Note:whenWiFi isconnected, theWPS
buttonisdisabled.

CheckingDoorbell ChimeType(Thecustomersrequiretodevelop
theirownApp toswitchthedoorbell chimetype)
If yourexisting doorbellproducesan electronicsound thatis
programmableandcomesinthe formof aunique sound,it'sadigital
chime. If it hasatraditional"ding dong"sound, it'sacompatibleanalog
chime.
ChargingDoorbell Camera
Usethe suppliedmicroUSB cabletorechargethe batterywhileyou are
setting the doorbellcamerafirst. Afterthen, turnthe doorbellcamera
switch(on theback)on. Makesurethat the DoorbellCamera sinternal
batteryhasreceived enough powerafteryouvemounted it toyour
doorbellwiring.
WirelessHDDoorbell CameraInstallation
DBC831 requiresconnectionstoadoorbellchimeand atransformer.
Simplyremoveyourexisting doorbellbutton and connectone wireon
the DoorbellCameratothe chimeand the otherwiretothe transformer.
Note: PleaseensurethattheWirelessHD Doorbell Cameraisconfiguredand
addedtothe networkbeforemounting it.
Note: IfDBC831isusingforengineeringdevelop purpose, it isavailableto
useMircoUSBcabletochargethebatteryforreplacingthe transformer.And
doorbell doesnotrequiretoattachwiththechimer.
Note: The MicroUSBchargerisonlyavailable
on5V2Aadapterplug. Donot
plugMicroUSB cableonthePCforcharging.
Step1: Startthe APP whichcustomized bycustomersorthe web page
forpairing process.
Step2: Usethe supplied microUSB cabletorecharge the batterywhile
you aresetting the doorbellcamerafirst. Add the Wireless HD Doorbell
Cameratoyournetwork.
1)Wireless HD Doorbellwilldetect theWireless device(AP orrouter)
whichis DisabletheWireless Security automatically.
