Preparation of

Windows Media Player
Use Windows Media Player 9
Series or 10 to transfer audio
data from a PC to the unit.
For more details, refer to the
Windows Media Player Users
Guide.

Ripping tracks from audio CD to PC
1LaunchWindows Media
Player.
2On the "Tools" menu, click
"Options..." and then "Copy
Music (Rip Music)", and
select "Copy protect music".
3Click "OK".
4Insert an audio CD into the
PC.
5Click "Copy from CD (Rip)"
on the taskbar to show tracks
on the audio CD.
6Select the check boxes of
tracks to rip.
7Click "Copy Music (Rip
Music)" to start ripping.
1Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
2Open the "wa-mp100_50" folder on the CD-ROM and
double-click "setup".
3Install the driver following the on-screen instructions.

Installing a USB driver
To turn off the unit
Press the POWER button.
If you use a PC running Windows 98 Second Edition,
install a USB driver from the supplied CD-ROM.
The installation is not necessary for a PC running
Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000 Professional,
Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition.
In the play or pause mode
1 Press the (POWER) button for 0.5 seconds or more to exit
the mode.
2 Hold down the POWER button for 2 seconds or more.
In the stop, menu or FM mode
Hold down the POWER button for 2 seconds or more.
Do not force the battery
cover open too far.
Insert
the side.

1Connect the unit to a PC.
2LaunchWindows Media Player.
3Click "Copy to CD or Device (Sync)" on
the taskbar.
4From the drop-down list of "Items to Copy
(All Music)" window, select a list with
desired audio data.
5Select the check boxes of audio data to
transfer.
6Set the unit as a destination.
7Select a folder (Windows Media Player 9
Series only).
8Click the "Copy (Start Sync)" button to
start transfer.

1Slide the USB port lever until it stops to open
the USB port.
2Connect the unit to a PC with the USB cable.
Whilst the unit is connected to the PC, the
message shown appears on the unit.
The buttons on the unit do not work if it is connected to a
PC.Disconnect the PC to operate on the unit.
Cleaning
When the unit becomes dirty
Clean it with a soft cloth.When
the unit is excessively dirty, use
a soft cloth dampened in water
(external surfaces only).
Clean the plugs and the
connecting sockets.
If the plugs or sockets are dirty,
noise may be heard.Cleaning
will prevent noise.

Press the POWER button to turn the

The earphone lead works as an
FM aerial. Keep it as straight as
