The Sharp XG-MB65X and XG-MB55X Conference/Classroom series projectors offer a unique
combination of high brightness, high performance, and full feature set – at a remarkably affordable price.
With 3000 ANSI Lumens (XG-MB65X) and 2500 ANSI lumens (XG-MB55X), these XGA native resolution
projectors are perfect for most any educational or meeting room setting. And, with their high image
quality (2000:1 contrast ratio) and wide compatibility, they are ideal for use with both high resolution
computer and video sources (including HDTV).
For use in “commercial” applications, both models are backed by a 2-year parts and labor limited
warranty* [90-days on the user-replaceable projection lamp] including 2-years of Sharp industry-leading
“ER” 24-hour turnaround Express Repair support. Additionally, recognizing that projectors in this
category are frequently interfaced with external control systems, the XG-MB65X and XG-MB55X feature
an on-board RS-232C port, with the necessary RS-232C control adapter conveniently included “in the
box” - at no extra cost.
Standard features of the XG-MB65X and XG-MB55X include XGA native resolution (1024 x 768) with
intelligent “ImageACE” resizing for compatibility up through SXGA+ (1400 x 1050), short-throw
zoom/focus lens, DTV/HDTV compatibility and up to 3000-hour lamp life.
For superior color accuracy, both models incorporate a Condenser Lens Optical System, along with Texas
Instruments™ DDR DLP™ display technology and TrueVision™ (DDP2000) image processing. A newly
designed 3-times speed, 4-segment color wheel with enhanced white portion optimizes white level and
brightness, and ensures that all projected images will be uniform - void of the "rainbow" effect common
in other projectors. Sealed optics along with multiple ultra-quiet cooling fans make the XG-MB65X and
XG-MB55X the projectors of choice for extended-use operation.
An IR wireless remote, including built-in forward/back PC control ensures easy operation from anywhere
in the room, and for simplified system integration, the XG-MB65X and XG-MB55X offer multiple
computer/component, video and audio inputs, along with RGB/component “loop-through”, stereo
variable audio line-output (“VAO”) and RS-232C control port.
Theft prevention also has been addressed, with Kensington™ lock capability,
along with the availability of an ultra-heavy duty security cable kit for use
with Sharp's ceiling mounting systems.
