1Open the battery cover.
1Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
2Insert the batteries as shown.
3Close the cover.
Use 2 “AAA” size batteries (UM/SUM-4, R3, HP-16 orsimilar).

Listening to the iPod
Notes:
The unit is installed with the iPod adaptor No. A.
Remove and insert the recommended iPod adaptor if
required (refer table on page 8 in the operation manual).
To insert iPod adaptor
1Open the iPod cover by pulling up the tip.
2Insert the iPod adaptor into the iPod dock and connect
your iPod.
To remove iPod adaptor
Insert the tip of a screwdriver (“–” type, small) into the iPod adaptor hole as shown and lift
upward to remove.

iPod adaptor Simply remove the iPod from the iPod dock. It is safe to do so even during playback.

1Press the iPod button on the remote control or FUNCTION button on the main unit
repeatedly to select iPod function.
2Insert iPod unit in iPod dock of main unit.
3Press the button to start playback.

To remove USB memory device
1Press the CD button on the remote control or FUNCTION button on the main unit
repeatedly to select CD function.
2Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray.
3Place the disc on the disc tray, label side up.
4Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the
disc tray.
5Press the button to start playback.
After the last track is played, the unit will
stop automatically.

Note:
This USB mass storage device
or MP3 player is not compatible
with MTP and AAC file systems.
1Press the USB button on the remote control or FUNCTION button on main unit
repeatedly to select USB function. Connect the USB memory device that has
MP3/WMA format files on the unit.
2Select desired file to be played back by pressing the or button.
3Press the (USB ) button. Playback will start.

1Press the (USB ) button to stop playback.
2Disconnect USB memory device from the USB terminal.
3Close the terminal door.
