Thank you for purchasing your new SHOEI helmet. This manual contains valuable information to help you understand how
to operate and maintain your helmet. Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference. Your
SHOEI dealer can provide a replacement if this manual is lost.

This product is a motorcycle helmet.
Do not use it for any purposes other than riding a
motorcycle. If you use the helmet for any other
purpose, it may not provide sufficient protection in
case of an accident.
No helmet can protect the wearer against
all foreseeable high speed and low speed
impacts.
For maximum head protection, the helmet must fit
properly and the retention system must be
securely fastened under the chin. The helmet
should allow sufficient peripheral vision when
secure on your head. If your helmet is too large, it
may slip or move on your head while riding. This
could cause your helmet to come off in an
accident or obstruct your vision while riding
resulting in personal injury or death. To learn to
properly wear and secure your helmet, see the
booklet “How to Use Your Helmet Properly” that
was packed with the helmet.

L’utilisation est strictement réservée à la pratique
de la moto. Si vous utilisez ce casque pour toute
autre activité, il pourrait ne pas vous apporter une
protection adéquate en cas d’accident.
Aucun casque ne peut protéger
l’utilisateur contre tous les chocs
prévisibles lors d’impacts à haute et
basse vitesse.
Pour une protection maximale de la tête, le
casque doit être à la bonne taille et le système
d’attaches jugulaires doit être fermement attaché.
Le casque doit vous apporter un champ de vision
périphérique suffisant une fois enfilé et attaché. Si
le casque est trop large, il pourrait glisser de votre
tête ou bouger lors de son utilisation. Ceci pourrait
provoquer l’éjection du casque en cas d’accident

avoir pour conséquences des blessures

The ear pads are designed to reduce wind noise.
The ear pads can be removed. To remove or
install the ear pads, see the “Removing Interior
Parts” and “Installing Interior Parts” sections.

With the ear pads are installed, the sound
from nearby vehicles will be reduced.
Please be aware of this while riding.
Le fait de porter les coussinets d’oreille
dans le casque atténue le bruit des
véhicules proches. Ne l’oubliez pas lorsque
vous roulez.
For better sealing of the shield / visor, apply the
enclosed silicone oil on the window beading. First,
remove any dirt or dust, then apply a small
amount of oil to the
designated part as per
drawing. Wipe away
any excess oil. If
silicone oil stains the
shield/visor, it may
obstruct your view.
Check for adequate
lubrication regularly.

appliquez l’huile de silicone fournie sur le
bourrelet de la visière. Commencez par éliminer
toute salissure ou
poussière, puis appliquez
une petite quantité
d’huile sur la partie

When the shield / visor is fully closed, it locks
into place. We recommend that you use the
shield / visor in this position while riding your
motorcycle. To open
the shield / visor, use
the left hand and
pull the side of the
shield / visor out slightly
to release it from the
stopper.

■Removing the Shield / Visor
1. Open the shield / visor to fully opened position
as per Drawing 1.
2. While pulling the trigger down, lift the
shield / visor and release hook (A), then release
hook (B) in direction indicated by an arrow in
the Drawing 2. Follow the same procedure to
remove the other side.

■Installing the Shield / Visor
1. Place the shield / visor in full open position and
insert hook (B) into the hook rail.
2. Press the shield / visor as
indicated in the Drawing 3.
The trigger will rise as the
shield / visor clicks, and
hook (A) will fit into the
hook rail. Follow the same
procedure to install the
other side.
■Retrait de la visière

figure 1.
2. En tirant le déclencheur vers le bas, levez la
visière et détachez le crochet (A), puis le
crochet (B) dans la direction indiquée par la
flèche sur la figure 2. Recommencez la
procédure pour enlever l’autre côté.
■Mise en place de la visière
1. Ouvrez la visière au maximum et insérez le
crochet (B) dans le rail de fixation.
2. Appuyez sur la visière
comme sur la figure 3. Le
déclencheur se relève au
moment où la visière fait un
déclic et le crochet (A)
s’insère alors dans le rail de
fixation. Recommencez la
procédure pour mettre
l’autre côté en place.

Before using the shield / visor for the first
time after purchase, remove the protective
film from the shield / visor.
Avant d’utiliser le casque pour la première
fois après son achat, retirez le film
protecteur collé sur la visière.
If the hooks are not securely fastened in the
shield / visor base, the shield / visor may come
loose while riding and an accident may
unexpectedly occur. After installing the CJ-2
shield / visor, open and close the shield / visor a
few times to confirm that the hooks fit securely.
With the shield/visor completely closed, confirm
that the shield / visor locks in place.
Si les crochets ne sont pas bien insérés dans
l’embase de la visière, cette dernière peut alors se
détacher pendant que vous roulez et provoquer
un accident inattendu. Après avoir mis en place la
visière CJ-2, ouvrez-la et fermez-la à plusieurs
reprises pour vous assurer que les crochets sont
bien accrochés. Fermez la visière complètement
et vérifiez qu’elle s’enclenche bien.

WARNING ATTENTION
■If the gap still remains after readjusting
the base plate in ❼:
❽In the left base plate, loosen the upper screw
(keep the lower screw tightened in the center
of the base plate hole) and rotate the base
plate clockwise a
little. Install the
shield/visor and
check that the
gap between the
shield / visor and the
window beading is
eliminated.

Adjust a position of
the base plate in
the following
procedure if the
shield / visor is not
in close touch with
the window beading
or it does
not close
properly.
■In case there is a gap between the
shield / visor and the window beading:
❶Remove the shield / visor from the helmet.
Then, loosen 4 screws (2 in each side).
❷Align the center of the lower base plate hole
with the lower screw hole and tighten the
screw.
❸Next, align the center of the upper base plate
hole with the upper screw hole and tighten
the screw as per drawing.

❹Follow the same procedure to install the other

❺Install the shield / visor.
❻Confirm that the hooks fit properly into the
hook rails.

■If there is a gap remains after adjusting the
position of the base plate:
❼In the right base plate, loosen the upper
screw (keep the lower screw tightened in the
center of the base plate hole) and rotate
the base plate counterclockwise a little. Install
the shield / visor
and check that the

shield / visor and
the window
beading is
eliminated.

■In case the shield / visor is in too close
touch with the window beading.
❾In the right base plate, loosen the upper screw
(keep the lower screw tightened in the center of
the base plate hole) and rotate the base plate
clockwise a little, and tighten the upper screw.
Install the shield/visor and check that it opens or
closes smoothly and
there is no gap
between the
shield/visor and the
window beading. If it
is still too close,
adjust the left base
plate in the same
procedure.
